Descent Into Madness [P] Empty Descent Into Madness [P]

Post by Kuro Mon Aug 26, 2019 7:15 pm

He opened his eyes once more, before moving to tear into the walls surrounding him yet again. The poison slowly killing him as he ate bit by bit of the fleshy prison that held him. He had no concept of time inside of this beast, and he had lost count of the times that the poison had killed him. He didn't know how long it had been, minutes, days, months, years, all he knew was that each time he awoke to continue eating the intestines of the giant beast that ate him, he could feel his mind slipping farther and farther away from his humanity. At this point, he didn't even care when he died anymore, the poison would kill him before starvation or anything else did anyways. He only focused on his goal, eat the beast. Eventually, after some time past, whether little or a lot, he didn't know, but the beast finally spit him out. He expected to find the white, snowy expanse of the field he had been eaten in, or maybe a different locale within the land of snow. He had longed for the moment when poison wouldn't be killing him, but instead the cold embrace of death would come in the form of hypothermia or starvation. He had many expectations for the moment that he escaped the beasts gullet. What he got was a vast, endless darkness. He couldn't see anything except for himself and the beast. The void was endless and the beast seemed small in comparison. It looked at him at first with anger, but then inquisitively. In the end, it decided against eating him again, no doubt remembering the pain that came with the last time it made that attempt. No, this time it seemed content to simply roll its massive body over his own, crushing him. After a few moments, it moved and he stood back up and looked at the beast. It seemed confused as to how he had survived not only its poisonous stomach, but also being crushed by its weight. Kuro let out a laugh, not the kind that you would bellow at a joke, or when something was truly funny, no, this laugh was more depraved, manic, inhuman. This laugh lacked all humor, and seemed devoid of remorse and humanity. This laugh was one that would only be heard from someone who had truly given up on themselves and given into the madness within. So, the beast simply continued to crush him, over and over again, hoping that eventually, he would run out of lives. The beast would be disappointed.
