Subdue doesn’t mean “kill” does it? Even in a shinobi dictionary, which tends to be quite violent, it can’t mean that.

Kioshi didn’t have anyone to ask because the situation was dire and action was far more important than asking questions. It was an emergency after all. Some old grudge or resentment against the neutrally aligned village had led to such violent circumstances. A certain someone had released dogs onto unsuspecting, innocent civilians. And now, if the dogs were subdued, they would end up harming or maybe even killing people.

Kioshi was tasked to take care of these dogs. And he was no dog whisperer.

Truth be told, he hadn’t even been in such a situation before. He had only been in one real mission where had to fight people and that was with a pretty capable senpai. So most of the things were covered. But this one, he ended up doing alone.

There were a total of 4 dogs and 1 Kioshi. Things were not looking good right off the get go. But Kioshi had a plan and it all relied on the two barrier ninjutsus he had come up with himself.

Looking at his very brief arsenal of jutsus, he seemed pretty well equipped to handle the situation.

After receiving the instructions and the directions for the situation’s whereabouts, Kioshi immediately ran towards the location; making use of the rooftops to avoid getting interrupted in his desperate sprint. It would take him at least three civilian injuries long to get there. But he would get there before things would get out of hand.

Immediately jumping down to the ground, Kioshi would make the hand sign and create two “heavenly constructs”.

There would only be a single dog on-site, which applied the other three were still running amuck. Using his constructs, Kioshi would separate the dog from the civilians and then he would smack the dog around with the two constructs. Finally ending the brief fight by sandwiching the dog among the two constructs and knocking it unconscious.

Then he would set off to find the other three.

The noise of panicked people would guide him on his journey and he would arrive at another scene, filled with blood and two injured civilians. This time, he would find two dogs. So he would decide to take another approach.

He would throw two kunai to get their attention and the moment the two would rush after him. Kioshi would use his second jutsu, quite powerful than the last one, and he would trap the two dogs in a rectangular barrier ninjutsu. Once caught, Kioshi would make short work of them by violently shaking the barrier and making the dogs collide with the walls and amongst each other until the two were conscious no more.

Finally, the last one would be found trying to chase down a few children. Quite the devilish little creature this one would be. However, this dog too would be no match for Kioshi’s bird cage barrier ninjutsu.

Once again, Kioshi would wave the handsigns, trap the creature and knock it out. Finally saving the civilians and putting an end to the nightmare.
