Handling the Persephone [Mugetsu / Kioshi] B-Rank Mission Empty Handling the Persephone [Mugetsu / Kioshi] B-Rank Mission

Mission 1:

Mugetsu had been tasked with finding the Persphone Flower for Shikigakure. This was a mission he had done before in his own village so he had already known what he was looking for. But still he knew that this was not a mission that he could handle by himself. So the assassin in training had request the help of a ninja he had worked with before Kioshi. Their last mission had been a success and Mugetsu knew that the shikigakure ninja could handle himself in a tight situation. All they needed to do was take down some bandits before they could get to the flower. What was it with Bandits and this flower? They should know that the village would seek to acquire the flower and yet they continue to cause trouble. No matter such things did not bother Mugetsu he knew he would be able to handle the mission with help. Mugetsu had already begun by himself, he would arrive at the the location of the flowers and would see that they were indeed guarded by the bandits.

He would scope out how many were there and what there their levels of strength. They were all chunin level bandits, five to be exact. This was something indeed with Mugetsu ability to handle alongside Kioshi. He would wait for Kioshi to arrive before he would start. While this was a task that he could handle on his own it was still better to have some sort of plan. But at the very moment Kioshi would offer up his thoughts on how to handle the situation Mugetsu would attack without worry. He could easily take down three of the bandits but them all at once would be a little challenging he had indeed been hoping that the shikigakure ninja would be able to help him in areas he failed to be good in himself.

Handling the Persephone [Mugetsu / Kioshi] B-Rank Mission Empty Re: Handling the Persephone [Mugetsu / Kioshi] B-Rank Mission

Post by Kioshi Fri Aug 09, 2019 12:59 pm

Yet another B-rank mission. Kioshi felt like a big boy now; at least with help from Mugetsu-kun, he was able to do some seriously demanding missions.

On his own, Kioshi wouldn’t be able to take-on B-rank missions. But with Mugetsu on his side, he was allowed to take on these higher rank missions. Although he didn’t walk away completely scratch-less, the last one had gone pretty nicely. While he was the distraction, Mugetsu had sneaked in and successfully assassinated the bandit camp leaders. This time too, the two were supposed to take-on some bandits, while they searched for a specific kind of flower.

While Kioshi belonged to Shikigakure, a village specializing in medicine and all things herbology, he hadn’t gone to a mission like this before. So he wasn’t aware of how the flower looked like. He hoped that Mugetsu had that part covered.

This time around, Kioshi was running late. Gladly enough, when he finally made it, Mugetsu was already there and had gauged the opposition.

”So what are we looking at Mugetsu-kun?”

Instead of assessing the things by himself again, he thought he’d use the data Mugetsu had collected. From the looks of it, they were facing off five chuunin-level bandits. Indeed, not an easy foe. But the pair of these guys could probably pull it off.

”I think I’ve got just the right jutsu to make an entrance. When we get there, I’ll leave two of them to you. One we’ll knock down by surprise. And the last one, leave him to me”

With that said, assuming that Mugetsu agreed, Kioshi would begin making the handsigns to cast the “Dura-ball” barrier ninjutsu: Dog -> Hare -> Bird.

This would create a sphere-like structure around Kioshi and Mugetsu. Once completed, it would look like a giant-ball made out of chakra.

”Let’s roll!”

He would say, in a totally non-pun like manner. But he knew, deep down inside, he knew it. Assuming that Mugetsu did the same as Kioshi and ran, the ball would start spinning. The unsuspecting bandit guards would suddenly see a giant ball like structure, with two people in it coming right for them. Before any of them would be able to react, the barrier ball would crush one of them. Just as Kioshi had planned.

Upon arrival at the scene, Kioshi would deactivate the barrier ninjutsu, releasing Mugetsu on to the now four remaining bandits. While he prepared to take down the one he had promised, having already taken down one of them.

Handling the Persephone [Mugetsu / Kioshi] B-Rank Mission Empty Re: Handling the Persephone [Mugetsu / Kioshi] B-Rank Mission

Mugetsu was completely agreement with Kioshi's plan in fact he quite liked it a lot. It allowed them to immediately take down one person. Mugetsu would watch as the sphere formed around them as was ready to go. He would run along side Kioshi in the sphere type barrier ninjutsu. It was quite and interesting technique that Mugetsu would have to ask about later. But for now they had to handle their own business and take down these silly bandits. As the sphere rolled and crushed on of the chunin it was now time for Mugetsu to began his own attack. Forming the serpent, hare, and dragon hand signs. Mugetsu's fist would be surrounded by a dense spatial chakra. Moments later, Mugetsu would punch his hand forward aiming for the two of bandits on the left and right of him. This attack would pierce through their chest and heart of the chunin killing them instantly. This attack had been Mugetsu's Spatial Bullet technique. It allowed him to ignor a portion of a person's defenses to inflict greater piercing damage. With two down there was only one left for Mugetsu to handle. Just as the Chunin noticed his teammates were taken down, his eyes would turn bloodshot red as fury filled his heart. He would attempt to attack Mugetsu throwing a punch towards his face.

Mugetsu would once again preform a set of hand signs. This time the signs were monkey, tiger, and monkey, they signaled the activation of another one of Mugetsu's jutsu Relocation Level One. Right before the assassins face was going to be struck by the bandits punch with his left hand he would summon a portal in front of him allowing the fist to go through it. With his right hand he would summon and additonal portal in which the hand would come out of the other side. This second portal had instead been summoned next to the bandits face. Reciving the full force of his own punch instead of Mugetsu he would fall to the fall in agony. But instead of giving the bandit a break Mugetsu would rush forward pulling a kunai out from his pouch and thrusting it into the heart of the third bandit. With that Mugetsu had finished taking down his bandits Without checking to see how Kioshi fared Mugetsu would run over to the Persephone Flowers and collect them to complete this mission.

Handling the Persephone [Mugetsu / Kioshi] B-Rank Mission Empty Re: Handling the Persephone [Mugetsu / Kioshi] B-Rank Mission

The moment the ball-like barrier dissipated, Kioshi’s back was towards Mugetsu. He knew he could trust him with it. Even though, they were not from the same village. His past experience with Mugetsu showed that he could handle himself well, and Kioshi didn’t need to concern himself with Mugetsu’s tasks.

As long as Kioshi did his part, Mugetsu would pull through his.

Kioshi’s barrier ninjutsu had already helped take down one of the chuunin and now that Mugetsu was taking care of three of them. His eyes were focused on the remaining one in front of him. And his opponent’s bloodthirsty gaze was fixated on Kioshi too.

Angry about the crushed comrade, and now what Mugetsu was doing behind Kioshi’s back, the bandit fetched a katana and charged Kioshi. Kioshi knew this was not his forte. But, that didn’t mean he was completely out of his element. He expected this. So he was prepared.

Before the bandit got closer to Kioshi, Kioshi had already prepared his defense. The katana attempted to stab through Kioshi but ended up striking a barrier construction. Kioshi had just used his barrier ninjuts “heavenly constructs”. This allowed him to create physical chakra-based surfaces. At a time, he was able to create five of them.

So he used one to block and created one atop the attacker’s head. That one Kioshi used to slam the bandit’s head. Then he raised the barrier and did it again. Just to make sure, Kioshi repeated the process a couple of times. This did not kill the bandit but it made sure his lights were out.

The mission did not say that they had to kill these bandits. But Kioshi accepted what Mugetsu had done. Shinobi from other villages were different. He knew this.

Nevertheless, with the fall of Kioshi’s opponent, they were done with the mission. Mugetsu had already dealt with his foes and was now collecting the flowers they were originally there to collect. Kioshi stood still for several moments, looking at Mugetsu as he searched for the flowers, identified them, and then picked them.

After seeing him do it a couple of times, Kioshi too would join him, copying Mugetsu to make sure he did what he was supposed to. Once he had collected enough flowers, Kioshi would bow to Mugetsu and bid him farewell once again.

Another B-rank mission, with help from Mugetsu, had just been completed.
