How did this even manage to happen in the first place? Who was daft enough to let a pigeon with top secret information go for Gods sake? Tsubasa was hopeful that whatever dunderhead did was swiftly fired afterwards. After all, with their constantly shifting relations with the Chozogakure village was it really the greatest idea to be so clumsy with information that could spell the death of the village? No, no it was not.
Whatever. The damage was done and now of course it was up to them to fix the mistake.
But, the question was, how did one go about finding something as fast as a pigeon? Hopefully, since she had one other person to do this with it wouldn't be as hard as she originally though... Well... Perhaps it would be worse, considering who exactly her partner was.

Tsubasa climbed her way to the top of one of the nearby buildings, steadying her balance once she popped onto the tiled roof. She raised her hand to shield her hands against the bright sun above them, her raven black hair ruffling from the high up wind.
A couple of birds fluttered in the sky, but they were too far away to get a good look at.
"This should give us a good view of the village" the Uchiha spoke aloud in her usual monotone voice, dark eyes gazing over the distance of building tops and green trees. "Now Kira, remember the bird has important information, so we can't let anything happen to it. Please, do try to be careful and don't kill it." She knew how Kaguyas could be, and Kira could be a little... How could she say it?
Brain dead.

She wasn't about to get her reputation ruined because someone decided to throw a bone and stab the avian.

Kira had never caught a bird before, in fact, she hadn't caught anything except for a cold before and a few beatings from her parents. One of those things Kira should seek therapy for, but here she was anyway! it shouldn't have been hard to find a bird, but it was. The bird could fly and Kira couldn't which was the first problem, but the second problem was that Pigeons were the smartest birds in the entire world, or could at least outsmart Kira. She was both skillful and mentally outmatched so how could she win? There was only one solution to this problem and thankfully Kira was prepared. unlike Tsubasa who probably planned to run to the bird Kira planned to have the bird come to her and then she wouldn't sit there petting it but instead capture it! No, she totally would have stayed and pet it that's why Tsubasa was there to capture it, it's why they made such a great team! Kira was the brains and Tsubasa was the brawn or was it the other way around? Eh, Kira didn't care that much any way she just liked helping out the young kids in the village.

"Don't worry Tsubasa I brought some bird food with me, so the bird will come to us instead of the other way around. I have to set a good example for the younger generation after all!" With her partially idiotic statement made Kira proceeded to pull out the bird food, a few cups of ramen she had in her knapsack, "I was too poor to afford normal bird food but everyone loves ramen so this should work just fine!" The perfect plan and in no way could it ever go bad, especially when there weren't many birds in the sky. Hopefully, like most things Kira did, pure dumb luck would win out the day!

She brought... What?
With a questioning look Tsubasa watched as Kira triumphantly took out a few cups of ramen. Cooked ramen. Cooked.
She couldn't stress enough, that it was cooked. She was planning to give cooked ramen to a bird.
The Uchiha face palmed with enough force that the skin on skin contact sounded as though someone was getting slapped. She wanted to wake herself from this nightmare that was her life right now, but much to her dismay she was not dreaming. This was her reality. Her painful reality which she would never be able to wake up from.

It took the Uchiha all her strength not to burst into flames right then and there. She was already on edge about the Kaguya being on her team to begin with, she really didn't want her worries to become true. And then she really had the gall to insult her by saying she was the junior in the relationship? They were only three years apart, and they were both Genin! They were more on equal footing than anything else!
The black haired Genin grabbed the cupped ramen from Kira, unable to contain the building wildfire of rage inside of her. Her dark hair ignited with burning embers, eyes narrowed with irritation.
"First of all this isn't bird food, this is ramen! Birds can't eat that, their digestive systems can't handle the spices mixed with it! And secondly you aren't my senior, we're only three years apart and both Genin!" She shouted at her team mate, completely losing her cool. However a few squawking sounds from above caught the young girl's attention. She paused, looking upwards towards the sky. Dark shadows dove down and began pecking at Tsubasa, flapping their wings to keep themselves in a position to attack the girl as much as she could. The Uchiha let out a squeak, waving her arms feverishly to swat at the birds.

Dammit, why did animals hate her so much, to the point where they were now going out of their way to attack her? The bird's beaks actually really hurt, picking and nibbling at her skin and clothing.
She let out frustrated noises, trying to get the bird to leave her alone without dropping the still hot ramen on the roof.
"Gah... Stupid birds! Shoo! Get away!... OW!!"

Tsubasa was always mad at Kira for some reason, and Kira didn't know why. Perhaps the young were always upset at their elders but such was the way of the world, Tsubasa said only three years but when Kira had to look so far down to see Tsubasa it made it feel a lot longer than that. Perhaps Kira was in the wrong though, and it would harm the birds and nothing good would come of this venture she attempted... or maybe. A flock of the birds started to attack Tsubasa, the plan was working, all it took was Tsubasa and the ramen together. Kira would remember that in the future. "My plan worked, I see it! The bird was there, with the message on its leg pecking at Tsubasa and now it was Kira's time to shine. Dashing forward she grabbed the bird and held it tight at her chest as she felt something off about the ground below her. Falling from the rooftop Kira turned so that her back would slam into the 'ground'. Thankfully Kira had both a thick skull mentally and physically along with the rest of her body, managing to avoid most of the damage, just being a little dizzy, and it wasn't that far of a fall anyway she only fell one floor onto a balcony, but she'd claim it was more just to seem cooler for the kids. "I got the bird!" it was then she saw the little parchment loosen and reveal a bit of what was on it and Kira's eye grew wide, "Why are half-naked girls a national secret!? Are they ANBU or something!?"
