Scouting With The Whole Team

Scout The Walls:

The mission today was slightly different than the standard mission of just helping people out around the village. This was not cleaning stuff up, it wasn't delivering some kind of package, nor was it any kind of search and rescue for lost kids and pets. Today's mission involved going out to the edges of the village and scouting out the village walls for any threats they may find. There was a chance they would see nothing as they made their way around the place, or they could be the ones that report the next major attack on the village and save the whole of Johogakure in the process! It felt like a real mission, something that actually had the tiniest hint of danger rather than being something one could consider a basic chore throughout the day.

The team she was with, the one the three had been assigned too, was one she did not know besides the names she had been given of them. One was Tsubasa Uchiha and the other Kira Kaguya. It was odd, how they all were from different clans without any duplicates. It wasn't a problem, it just felt like it was purposefully done that way by those in the leadership positions. "There any spot you guys want to start at for this?" She didn't really know the two very well yet, and always she would just get to the point for the mission without any other kind of conversation.

Finally, a 'real' mission. Kira felt both excitement and dread at the thought of this style of mission. On the one hand, it meant being seen as capable and was a good step towards the future, on the other hand, it started to signal the joys and silliness of the past were beginning to fade away. Kira didn't know what that meant for her, or what it would mean for other members of her team. She wanted the good times to last forever, but now it seemed like they would eventually fade away like everything in her life did. She knew that one day it would fade away, that was life, but she had hoped to hold onto it a bit longer than she had...

Still, it wasn't all over yet.

"The village walls are pretty big... maybe we should just patrol a section of it? I'm sure there are others on top of it guarding spots already but if we move between a few of them... we could probably do a better job, but uh, that's just my idea I'm sure you guys have better ones." Kira stated with a bit of a laugh at the end. She was letting herself get a little too comfortable with the others right now, and that wasn't a good thing. Hopefully, they'd still view her as the fool and ignore everything she was thinking as a bad idea, or maybe they would just insult her. Either one worked.

Peperit hadn't really meant that they would be searching the whole wall when she had asked where they should start. Of course it was too big of an area for them to cover completely on their own. She had not thought of splitting up, expecting to not be the only ones doing this scouting mission at the same time and sticking together as well, but it seemed like it could work if they did split up and met back up to report their findings. "Splitting up might work better. I'll head northeast and scout go north along the wall towards the north. We can meet back here when it starts to get dark and then report back with anything we might have seen, even if that thing is nothing." With that said, the female would head off in the direction she said she was going to go.

It wouldn't take long for her to reach the section of the wall in the direction she was moving, and less time for her to get to the top of the wall and begin slowly making her way around the borders. There was a small hope in her mind that she would see something that was reportable and important to bring back. Another part was hoping to not find anything at all, especially of a bad nature, due to where they were located. What if a part of the wall was attacked while they were on patrol? She was not sure how ready the others were, but Pepper was not really ready for a full-scale attack by any group besides some fresh recruits from the academy. With luck she would meet other's from different teams and higher ranks. She could learn something from watching them, or maybe learn nothing at all depending on who they were.

Kira got what she wanted, they weren't going with her plan but Tsubasa's. That was good, it meant she didn't have to be insulted just a different action done, but at the same time she did want to spend time with them. Was it so much to ask for nice times to continue, or did the three of them have to not see eye to eye all the time, only time would really tell. Without a word, Kira got up to go and patrol a section of the wall a bit farther off her mind wandering while she did so. The view was peaceful, the landscape outside of the village beautiful. Kira hadn't seen much outside the village in her entire sixteen years of life. Perhaps one day she could just go out and explore the wilds of the world for the sheer sake of the adventure, or perhaps she could live out there all alone. Frustration set in as she remembered the responsibilities she held onto and what it meant to be a ninja. perhaps on her walk around the village's walls, she would find something to vent her growing frustrations.

The walls took almost no time for her to really 'wander' before she found something to vent her recent frustrations on. The exact nature of what it was she could vent on isn't important, all that is important is that she handled the situation in the correct way, and returned to the meeting spot with the three of them with only a small bandage wrapped around her right hand. Hopefully, her other teammates had better luck than her in how their days went, or maybe considering what she did was a good thing in her mind they had a worse time of it.

Peperit Terumi almost regretted taking on the mission as she slowly walked the metal walls of the village. The others that were out and about for the same reasons seemed to be set to minding their own business and do nothing but keep a sharp eye out for any possible threats that might show up. Because of the lack of conversation, the rest of the time on the wall was absolutely boring. Nothing happened anywhere she was at, which made the task that could have had some excitement into one that sucked all of the fun out of the day. At least she could look forward to being paid for it, it meant she could buy some food and supplies she might need for a later date.

The girl would be so happy when it was finally time to head back to the spot they were to meet back up at. Arrival at the designated location would happen around the same time as Kira Kaguya would get there. A nod at the other girl would be had, and at the same time, Pepper would notice the small bandage on her right hand. "Something happen on your section of the wall?" The question would be asked as she pointedly looked at the covered injury before she moved on to the next question of the day. "And have you heard anything from Tsubasa? Why is she late getting back?" What a day it was! She had nothing happen at all, one of her team members suddenly slightly injured, and the other late to come back!
