Tooth n Claw part 1

Scared villagers were both the best and worse customers of a village. On one hand, completing their task could be an easy way to get some money and recognition, oh the other hand they could be difficult to please and didn't understand how ninja went about their line of work. This could create a divide between a people and a military, which meant great tact was needed for this mission to succeed. Regrettably, they had sent Kira along on this task, thankfully Kira also had her teammates with her which meant the probability of mission failure was only fifty percent! Much better odds than the previous one hundred percent.

"So that's why we need your help oh brave ninja and small child, for if that creature isn't defeated we won't have anymore marmalade" stated an old man shaking as he tried to stand his cane the only thing keep him standing. "So please help us brave warriors, the entire town is in danger!" Naturally, this guy was a little off his rocker, and phy7sically as it was over in the corner, but the town itself had requested aid he just so happened to be the leader of the town still so they had to work with him. "Don't worry, we will make sure everything is taken care of, right guys?"

For once a mission would take them to a different land. A town that went by the name of Sorakuma had sent out a request for shinobi to help them out with a problem they have been having, one that others had failed to come back from so far. Team Seven, which consisted of Kira, Peperit, and Tsubasa, had taken up the mission for a chance to prove themselves as well as get some practice and time together. The trio had not done a whole lot together, not all three on the same thing, and they could all use a bit of time doing missions and training together to get used to how the others worked. That plus they all knew little about each other, as they weren't all as talkative as many others were.

Right now they were talking to the town leader, a senile old man that was mad due to a shortage of marmalade somehow cause by this whole catastrophe. The woman had listened to all of it, but it was clear that the logic behind it all was absolute trash. After he was done talking, Kira would tell him not to worry and that they would take care of everything. "Yes, we will deal with the issue so that the town can be safe and you can have marmalade." The woman sounded serious, though she wanted with all her heart to tell the leader how dumb he sounded by worrying about marmalade with what all was going on. Did the others think the same as her? Or was she being too serious right now and it was just her normal personality ruining her day?

Though it was a bit hard to understand the old man and his jumbled wording, Tsubasa tried to grasp the mission as best she could.
Apparently, something in the nearby caves was causing tremors. These tremors were effecting the village quite drastically, weakening the infrastructure of buildings, debris falling onto people, and yes she guessed their marmalade production would then by default be effected too... Well, he had somewhat of a point, she guessed. Still, why the village let him of all people represent them was beyond her. They could have very easily selected someone who actually knew what day it was to explain, but it was apparent by now that these people weren't the most organized. They were all very doting on the group ever since they arrived this morning. First they held a feast in their honor, then had a strange ceremony where they killed a bear and set it on fire.
Fear, perhaps caused this strangeness. Or stupidity, and everyone knew how much Tsubasa loved stupidity.

Of course, it didn't help that the old man thought Peperit and Kira were adults and Tsubasa was nothing but a small child. Well, she actually was a small child, but Tsubasa didn't like to be reminded of that.
A growl came from the girl's throat, her dark raven hair bursting into a fiery red. "Guys hold me back. HOLD ME BACK!" Knowing he had unknowingly struck a chord within her she warned her teammates, in which they hopefully would hopefully respond appropriately. She attempted to rush towards him in blind fury, but would be stopped by her teammates, however they would choose to handle the situation.
A string of vulgar curses would follow.
"F#$%ing f$#@ little s#$* *@#%^$%$ $%&^$## SHOVE IT UP YOUR @#$% $%&*% #@#@@#$ WITH A TOWEL RACK #$%^ $##%$#$ $%%^$%$#!!"
