Clan Template

Clans are a group of people, whom either share a bloodline or a hiden. Often, clans are based around a unique bloodline- these are usually close families. The reason behind a clan is dual-purpose. First, to give the people of the clan a sense of belonging and voice in the village. Second, to offer protection to its collective group- to avoid or fend off would-be assailants whom desire their unique skills.

Kekkei Genkai: (血継限界, Literally meaning: Bloodline Limit) are abilities passed down genetically within specific clans. It's possible for a shinobi to have more than one of these abilities(Maximum of two KKGs & you get no Limited). Kekkei genkai abilities that work via the user's eye are called dōjutsu. Other kekkei genkai include mixing one type of elemental chakra with another, creating a new one unique to the users, which is usually impossible for normal ninja, or other bodily manipulations that are usually non-achievable by normal standards. Kekkei genkai and their related techniques cannot be taught to or copied by others. However, these techniques can be given to others. Dōjutsu, or other kekkei genkai isolated to a single organ, can be transplanted into the body of another.

Use of these organs requires much more chakra(50% more) than someone born with the kekkei genkai. Chakra elements can also be passed down to people outside of the clan through various methods such as genetic implants or medical re-modification. While implants have the highest success rate(80%), they require more chakra to use. Medical re-modification uses highly skilled medical expertise to re-engineer a human body to innately accept the newfound power. The chances of success(50%) are lower but if successful, do not require additional chakra to use. Only specific medical skills(Limited such as Chimera) are capable of re-modifying. If re-modification fails, the KKG reverts to an implant so long as the dice roll is at least 80% out of 100.

Although kekkei genkai, despite its name, is usually genetically shared within a specific clan, sometimes it is unique to one person alone, and that even family relatives do not share it, such as the Wood Release and Shikotsumyaku. Yet other kekkei genkai seem to appear in individuals with no known relation, such as the Lava Release, which has appeared in ninja from different villages.

In addition to KKGs, there are also Hiden. Secret techniques between clans or even groups of people. Hidens are usually more secretive and protective than clans, despite the closeness that clans possess with their bloodline. Some shinobi go so far as to not use their hiden unless absolutely necessary: even more, would kill anyone who might see or know about their hiden. A hiden is a technique unique to a specific group of people: the skill is transferable through various methods and does not typically require any KKG implants. Normally, there are only two methods for learning a hiden. First is to learn the hiden by someone whom already possesses it. Second is to take a dead shinobi and have a highly trained medical shinobi reveal their secrets(S Rank medical shinobi with specific techniques to divulge information about corpses- you only unlock one secret per corpse)

Rules about clans:
1: If you are in a clan, you must be part of whichever village they are affiliated with. You cannot say you are in this clan but part of another village initially. You will have to leave your village and be considered a Missing-Nin, furthermore, be accepted by another village's Kage.

2: You may be part of two clans maximum, this means you would have been born from two parents of separate clans. You may not obtain any limiteds however(Which means all your skills are capped at S Rank).

3: There are few specific rules about clan creation, but please avoid giving your clan too many abilities/perks. You will be asked to reduce them if so. Some canon clans may hold more than normal, do not base your clan around these with the expectation they will get approved. They may not. Also, do not make off-branching/pseudo-clans without permission.

Clan Template
Name:(Name of your clan in English, though you may include the japanese)
Affiliation:(What village your clan has loyalty towards. This determines in what village the clan is located)
History:(Elaborate on any history for your clan. Be specific and give them some background for members to play off of)
Extra Info:(Include anything like hierarchy, religion or rituals of your clan)
Appearance:(Describe the clan members' physical appearances if they are different in any way)
KKG/Ability:(Describe in detail, ALL of the abilities/perks of your clan. Leave nothing to guess. If it isn't written here, it isn't approved)
Clan Jutsu:(This will be filled out later, because jutsu are made individually and linked separately)

Clanless Guide

While clans are specific to certain families of people related by blood, not every shinobi or person is a part of a clan. Nor do they share in the benefits of the many positive/negative attributes of KKGs or bloodline traits. While the rewards and benefits to clans themselves are numerous and various, clanless too will be rewarded.

Clanless/Hiden: Creating a character not part of a clan or KKG entitles you to a separate advantage. Unlike most clans where they may only specialize their characters in two Specializations(Up to X Rank). Clanless and Hiden-type clans(Without a KKG or bloodline) have the benefit of placing their skill points into whichever and however many Specializations they desire. Although I wouldn't recommend spreading them out too far!
Example- I am clanless and X Rank. Therefore I have a total of 14 skill points to redeem.
Bukijutsu: 3
Taijutsu: 3
Fuinjutsu: 3
Ninjutsu: 5

As you can see, I have divided my 14 skill points into 4 separate specializations. You can be more diverse if you wish, but know that you are limiting yourself in the terms of jutsu effectiveness.
