Missions 8 Empty Missions 8

Mission 1:

Kuro woke with a fire in his belly to tackle missions. He wanted nothing more than to go out today and get some amazing things done. He had a goal in his mind and once he set himself to do something he would push himself to complete that task. He got dressed and went about the dull morning routines he had been doing for the last while. Once he had eaten and gotten himself geared up and ready for whatever missions may come his way, he decided it was time to head out to pick up whatever missions he could handle to complete in a single day. He arrived at the mission tower and greeted the chuunin handing out missions and took the first B-ranked mission he came across. Walking back out the building he would read the briefing that was contained in the scroll he had just obtained. It said there was a businessman who ran a corporation that sold fishing supplies to different markets around the world on the surface, but in reality, he was a criminal who took part in a sick, sadistic child trafficking ring. He, in fact, ran the ring and was the one who ran the whole thing.

It didn't give too many details on his location, but it did tell of a few of his associates and the places that generally took part in such nefarious activities. He supposed that would be a good place to begin. He loaded up and took off towards the first fish market, supposedly there was something illegal going on there this morning, so he would perhaps be able to find a lead there. When he arrived at the port, he found a group of rough looking men entering into a place with what looked to be several caged animals that were of the exotic variety. He rushed in, roughed up a few of them, and got the answer he was looking for, finally. The mans name was Mr. Yoshida and he was a staple of the underworld here. He was apparently holed up in a large mansion out in the countryside with naught but two guards to defend him. Sure, at times such measures would be apt to defend a nefarious businessman from the likes of a younger ninja, but one of his skill level should be able to take the two of them down without too much hassle.

When he arrived to the mansion, he could see that the building itself was not guarded all that well. There was a single man protecting the front, he looked to be typical civilian hired muscle. Enough to stave off the likes of juveniles or the common street thug, but not even enough to take on the average Genin. Kuro approached the man with little care shown, caught the fist intended for his face and killed the man with a punch to the throat. He was unable to call for help as the punch collapsed his windpipe. Kuro walked inside over the now dead guard, the interior of the building was just as lavish as the outside had alluded it to be. Walking up the stairs he opened two doors that connected to a large room. The moment the doors opened he had to block a slash from a sword. He ducked it, caught the wrist of the follow-p slash from the partner and pushed the blade into the first attacker. While they were stunned from the swiftness of his reaction, he snapped the second attackers neck, took the sword and plunged it through the head of the first. Turning, he looked to see his quarry cowering with fear. A flick of the wrist and a kunai found a new home in the mans forehead. His body slumped and Kuro knew it was time to head back to the village, another mission in the bag.

Mission 2:

Once he arrived to the village, he made his way through the gate checkpoint and then on to the mission tower. The first part of this was to turn in his completion of the original mission he had been given, which was the assassination of a crooked businessman, he had succeeded. Once that was done, it was then time to pick up the next mission. Grabbing his scroll and saying goodbye to the Chuunin behind the desk, he headed back out the door. This would be his second mission of the day and the sun was already high in the sky, revealing that it was already midafternoon. His new mission was to go into the forests outside of the village and locate a camp of bandits. Supposedly, a few of the bandits he had found on his previous mission had been trailed off into the forests where they had a secret base hidden. Apparently, they had some decent skill as ninja and would attack anyone who came close to their  little base of operations. He knew of the general location of the base and would be headed there very shortly, but first, he had to get his equipment together to begin his raid.

He ran back over to his home, where he stored all of his equipment. The first thing he grabbed was his ignition gloves. He slid the black cloth gloves on his hands, he had grown attached to them in the time he had obtained them. He then grabbed a couple of pellets as well as a bag of his gunpowder. He then slid on a black cloak that would cover him and his identity while he was on this mission. For no particular reason of course, he had no real desire to hide his identity, he just thought it looked cool. It was a solid black, hooded cloak that went down to mid calf level, on the back was the emblem of Shikigakure. Once he had gotten all of his stuff set up, he made his way to the gate of the village. He would begin his search for the bandit camp and then would proceed with the purge of all the bandits in the area. He took to the trees to begin his search, combing the area for any signs of life. The first sign he came across were slash marks on several trees which appeared to have been caused by some fools playing with swords.

Following said slashes, he eventually came across a rather large, but crude looking fort built from trees and wood. Inside, he could see that there were several tents and huts made of wood. Deciding that his best course of action would simply be to burn the place to the ground, he thought more o on the fact that he should be able to do so without raising much alarm, and controlling the fire so that the forest isn't damaged by his blaze. Running about at his maximum speed, he laid a thin, almost invisible line of gunpowder to various points in the small base, then put small explosive piles at the end of these thin lines. Once completed, he brought all of the lines together and put them to a single point. Clapping his hands to draw out the bandits, he snapped and the whole camp exploded into a cacophony of flames and screams. None of the bandits survived and he decided that it was in his best interest to remain once the fires went out to make sure of this, which he did. Once he was positive that all the bandits had been taken care of, he returned to the village.

MISSION 3:

Kuro returned to the village and headed straight to the mission tower. Once arriving inside he made his way quickly to the Chuunin who was in charge of handing out missions right as he was handed a scroll from another shinobi who had just arrived. The scroll was then handed straight to Kuro once he was given his pay from the last mission. Heading back outside, he would leap to the roof of a building to read his next mission. Opening the scroll, he would find a story of two friends who had grown up together, been placed on the same Genin team and went through their whole careers together. Then, one of them was passed up for promotion to Spec. Jonin and the other was deeply hurt by it. Then, during a celebratory drink at the bar, they got into a drunken brawl which led to the death of two civilians. Apparently following this debacle, the Chuunin ran off into the forests to hide. His task was to find him and bring him in to face justice. He figured it would be easy enough to begin at the destroyed bar and ask around to find out what everyone knew.

He arrived at the scene to find the building was currently being rebuilt and there was a rather large group of people gathered, no doubt as the neighborhood gossipers. He entered the crowd and listened to their mundane speech. Some were mesmerized by the destruction caused by the two drunken shinobi. He knew this was nothing compared to the destruction that a shinobi could cause, so he ignored those people. His goal was not to find out what impressed the nameless and meaningless civilians, but to find information on his target. He kept listening as the civilians around him spoke of different things, finally, they told him exactly the things he needed to hear. One of them mentioned that the two had an old fort in the forests where they would rest in between missions out of the village. It stood to reason that this is exactly where this man would go if he was afraid after committing an act of murder against civilians. In his drunken state, it would make sense that he wouldn't think ahead enough to not go to a place like that and would seek comfort in its familiarity. So, Kuro would exit the crowd and make his way to the northern gate of the village to begin his hunt with his new lead.

Rushing through the trees in the direction he had been given by the gate guards, he would decide the best approach to this battle. The Chuunin was known as a strong Taijutsu user, so it wouldn't be impossible for Kuro to just sneak up on him, he WAS drunk after all. Making his way through the forest, he came across a small shack built of wood high in one of the trees. Sneaking his way over to him, he found the sad man had passed out in his drunken state. Sneaking directly over to him, he found that the man was holding yet another bottle of booze. Using some wire to tie him up, Kuro would drag him back to the village to turn him in for the reward. Once he did so, he would obtain his rewards and return back to his own home to sleep before yet another day of taking on missions after missions after missions. Kuro wanted nothing more than to push himself to be more than what he was at the moment, to gain true power and clarity.

Mission 4:

Kuro woke at a normal time for himself, 0300. He rolled out of bed and made his way to his kitchen to begin making breakfast. While his food was on the stove cooking he ran through the shower and got dressed. Once he was done, he made his way back to the kitchen and ate his breakfast. Once he was finished, he started with his morning workout routine. It was rather extensive, but he had built himself up to this point over many years of strenuous work. Once he was finished with that, it was an acceptable time to go hunting for some missions.

He had gained a bit of experience and as such, it wouldn't be crazy to think he could take on missions of a more difficult nature.
He made his way out the door and quickly over to the mission tower. Once inside he greeted the chuunin who was in charge of handing out missions. He grabbed the first scroll and made his way out the building. It was his mission to settle some form of dispute between a couple in the civilian district. It would be easy to simply kill them both, or knock some sense into each of them. Once he arrived to the apartment, he found two people yelling. A man and a woman, standing out on the porch on the third floor of the building yelling loudly, he could understand why it got on neighbors nerves.

He leapt up onto the railing, balancing with ease between the couple. They looked at him angrily before they continued to argue like he wasn't even there. He growled and released killing intent. It was something beyond what they could handle and they got quiet and looked at him with fear in their eyes. "You will either resolve your issue or you will argue quietly from inside the building." They quickly got over their fear before reacting in rage to this kid telling them what to do. Kuro jumped over the man trying to grab him and kicked the woman in the face. He then put the man on the ground by sweeping his legs out from under him, he then proceeded to break both of their arms. "You will do what I say, or I will be back. If I come back, I will do much worse than this." The two nodded silently and he left to get his next mission.

Mission 5:

Once he arrived back to the mission tower, it was in and out. He spoke only briefly to the mission chuunin, but he was back out the building with a new mission scroll within ten minutes. He jumped up onto a rooftop to look at his latest mission. Put out by the mail company, apparently one of their carrier pigeons that was carrying a classified document with highly sensitive information was roaming around the village without anyone monitoring its location. His mission was simple, track down the bird and capture it without losing any of the classified information it contained. It would be a simple task to catch it, once he managed to track it down.

He rushed off the rooftop, jumping down, spinning on a flagpole and then leaping back into the air. He landed on a telephone wire and ran across it. He was looking for one of the pigeons which were easy to distinguish from the backpack that they wore that was large enough for a scroll to be placed inside. He ran around pretty aimlessly at first. Not spotting anything unusual among the mass of pigeons that flew around the village all the time. He hoped his luck would change soon.

As he rushed around, he was looking in all the hot spots, trying to spot this pigeon through hundreds of others, There were at least two hundred at each stop, but he painstakingly hunted each one down to make sure that it wasn't the one he was hunting. He was still searching, even after several hours of looking. But, he finally managed to find a lead. He overheard some old women that were leaving the park talking about a strange bird they had been feeding with some backpack on its back. That was his first lead and he wasn't letting it get away.

Sprinting at top speed away from where he was, he headed in the direction of the park. Once he arrive, without stopping, he honed in on where the pigeon was while he ran. It hadn't noticed him, and it never did as he swooped in for the kill. Well, not kill, but capture. Once he caught it, he ran to the mail area, dropped it off in a cage. Once he did this, got his signature, he would be on his way back towards the mission tower. He wanted nothing more than to get paid and grab his next mission. Hopefully it proved to be more of a challenge than this one.

Missions 6:

His next mission was going to be one that could prove to be challenging enough, or it could come off as a simple task. He didn't really care about the difficulty. No, his real mission was to gain money and experience. Once he finished these missions, then he could focus on training and truly improving himself. His goals were simple really, as he had yet to really find his place in the world. He only wanted to grow stronger and have money. Once he got strong enough to figure out what he was meant to do, or to find out what he could decide to do, he wanted to grow strong.

In this world only the strong could truly decide for themselves what would happen. It is the truth, all through history, it is, as they say, written only by the victors. He wanted to be strong enough to become a victor. He knew that if he wasn't able to defend himself he would be locked up again, an involuntary shudder ran up his spine. He wouldn't ever be put back in that situation again. Broken from his thoughts, he looked up to find himself standing in front of the location of his next mission.

The shinobi academy. He had come here far more since he has been out of it, than he was when he was in it. Anyways, his current job was to go in and teach the academy students just how far out of their league they were. They had been complaining to their teacher that their lessons were boring and that they were ready for some real mission type training. He was to show up and give them a painful lesson as to why they should pay closer attention to their lessons from the academy.

He opened the door and sized up the students in the room. Some of them would be graduating this year. Meaning they were all either his age, a year younger or even a year or two older than him. He entered and faced the class. "I have been told that you find your instructors lessons boring and that you wish to test yourselves against a real shinobi. Well, here I am. Come at me." He gave that signal and the majority of the class rushed him. It was over in minutes. He kicked, punched and chopped all of them into submission. Once he finished he looked out over the class of beaten kids. "You'll pay attention from now on, I trust?" Was the last he said before he walked out.

Mission 7:

Kuro walked to the mission office. He still had yet to be placed on an official team, so he was stuck waiting for things to get interesting. That was fine with him, he could entertain himself until then. He hadn't had very much, interaction with any of the villages ninja, even though he had been here and doing missions enough to be promoted to tokubetsu jounin. He hadn't taken any missions that truly challenged him either, but he still took plenty of missions every day, and with the sun threatening to rise in a couple of hours, he knew it was time to get started. His first mission was to aid an elderly shop owner to unload and store a cart of supplies. He arrived, he didn't speak to the man, just did the work that was required. It was a simple task, he could easily lift 150 lbs, much more than the elderly keeper. It only took him around thirty minutes to unload the boxes, and then only around ten minutes to put them away. Once he finished, he simply showed the man his missions report and got his signature. At which point, he returned to the office to collect his reward and pick up his next mission.

Mission 8:

Clasping his second mission scroll shut, Kuro swiftly made his way across the village. He had a particular location in mind that he needed to reach. It was a market store, a place that sold fresh fruits and vegetables grown in the oasis. He arrived and the woman that ran the place quickly shoved a wooden box filled with various vegetables into his chest and pushed him out the door. She yelled something along the lines of he had to deliver that before the sun rose above the village. He knew he only had around twenty more minutes, and time was only moving on. He immediately leapt into action, jumping up one of the buildings, using his shinobi agility to make his way up to the rooftop. From there, he moved at high speeds towards the east, where he was to deliver these groceries. He could see that the sun was just beginning to reach the point where it would show in the horizon. He flipped, moving fast enough that none of his cargo had the chance to fall out. When he landed, he was in front of a door. Rechecking the number to the one that was written on the box, he would knock three times and an elderly woman would answer the door. After she took her food, signed his mission slip, and tanked him for his help, Kuro would swiftly make his way back to the mission tower to turn in another successful mission.

Mission 9:

His third mission was actually just about ready to start. There was a fresh Genin, similar to himself, that was looking for a sparring partner to test his strength against. He simply wanted someone against whom to see how he measured. So, Kuro would quickly make his way to the training area. Once there, he found a child, a couple years younger than himself it appeared, and much smaller in frame as a result of this age gap. Kuro approached the boy, "I am Kuro, I have been assigned the mission to test your level. Come at me with the intent to kill, or go home." When he said this, he got into a basic stance that he had mastered in his years of training. It was a stance that he had pushed himself into learning so that he would be able to defend himself, while still being able to react to openings created by said defense. When the little kid rushed him, he dodged to the right of the first punch, then used his left palm to push the follow up punch up into the air while simultaneously planting his right fist into the kids gut. Hard. The kid fell to the ground coughing, "If you want to defeat someone, you must attack relentlessly, yes. But, it is also imperative that you find out more about your opponent before you rush in without a care in the world." At the kids current level, he was nothing but a liability. He got his signature and moved on.

Mission 10:

His fourth mission of the day, was to aid in a popular breakfast diner in the village. He was to relieve one of the night shift workers just in time for their morning rush. It was already nearly 0730 and the rush would be starting the moment the place opened up. When he arrived, he was greeted by a very drunken manager who ordered him to clean off tables and prepare the food. Which, in his humble opinion seemed like a lot to ask someone his age. But, he made it work. He went to work, first cleaning off the tables which hadn't been cleaned by the nightly staff. He wiped them clean at a rapid pace, leaving them sparkling in his wake. Next, came the hardest part of this mission, preparing the food. He had been trained to cook basic meals, using materials one would find in the wilderness, and a few meals that could be made using things found in a normal kitchen. He went to work, getting all their required food prepared, just in time too, as the doors opened and orders began to pour in. He looked up as two people wearing kitchen clothes finally arrived to relieve him of duty. One of them signed his mission slip in the stead of their passed out manager. He was ready for another.

Mission 11:

Kuro, upon receiving his fifth mission, would head over to the academy building. It was a place that he didn't know all that well, given the little amount of time he spent there. He knocked on the classroom door three swift times before an instructor opened it. The instructor was obviously relatively new as a Chuunin instructor, as he didn't have that solid teacher look about him. This could be a façade though, so Kuro didn't think about it too much. The instructor introduced him as a fresh Genin who had just graduated. He told the class that he would be offering a demonstration today. The students seemed intrigued, except for one who looked a bit older than the others. In fact, he seemed a year or two older than Kuro himself. The boy simply scoffed, said that Kuro looked weak and then challenged him to a fight. Kuro, not sure how to handle the situation, glanced at the instructor who offered an approving nod. The match was fast, he used a couple of simple, yet effective taijutsu maneuvers to efficiently take down his quarry. The students all cheered as their resident bully was humiliated. Kuro gave the chuunin his paper, which was quickly signed. He then went to get his next mission.

Mission 12:

Kuro looked down at the mission in his hand before slipping it into his cargo pocket for safe keeping. He made his way through the village once more, under the heat of the afternoon sun. When he arrived at his destination, a rather large house in the upper class civilian district, he rasped the door three times before a woman answered. She described to him how one of her 132 cats had gone missing, a Mr.Snugglewuffles. He was supposedly a brown tabby with a green eye and a yellow eye. Kuro was to find him and return the little scamp before he got himself into trouble. He was warned thrice about the cats mean streak, but he assured the owner that he could handle it. He searched for around two hours before finally finding a cat that matched the description given to him. He moved in and grabbed it by the scruff of its neck and chopped it on the back of its head. It went limp in his arms and he carried it back to her house. Once he got there, before knocking on the door, he would pinch a nerve on the back of its neck and it would wake up, groggily. Upon returning it and getting a signature, Kuro would return to pick up his next mission.

Mission 13:

His next task would be on the simpler side, he was to clean some graffiti up and stake out the area for suspicious activity. He arrived to find an artsy name drawn on the side of a building along with a chibi character of a boy in a green striped hat holding up a peace sign. He started scrubbing from the scaffolding that was hanging from the building, while he didn't need it, it was useful for holding the cleaning supplies that he had. He also kept an eye on the busy street below him that held the numerous people going about their day. As he cleaned, he noticed a man off to the side, his face was shadowed by the green striped bucket hat he was wearing. Kuro took in the rest of his features and was about to move on the man, but then he remembered that his mission was to clean and observe, not take down the criminal. He was taught from a young age that he was to follow his directives to the best of his abilities and never allow his emotions or assumptions to cloud his purpose. Once the wall was cleared, he took his mission and a report on the suspicious man back to the tower. It was time for another mission.

Mission 14:

He opened the gates to a rather drab garden, located behind the village orphanage. He was to help pull weeds out of three of their planters to help them with their short staff. He didn't really understand why they didn't make the children do such a simple task, but he wasn't in a position to question it. He arrived at the first flower bed, which had a few roses beginning to bud from their bushes. He pulled the weeds from them, putting them into a burn pile that they had set up to get rid of the waste. Once he finished with the rose bed, he moved on to one that contained tulips. He pulled all the weeds same as before and put them into the burn pile where they were burned away. It was a simple task to pull weeds, but he was being payed, so he didn't really care. He moved to the Daisy flower bed, which was the last one he had to worry about. He pulled the weeds, one by one, and put them into the fire. Once he finished and got the matron to sign his paper, he rushed off to the mission tower to turn it in, claim his reward and go on another mission. But, he needed to hurry, daylight was running out.

Mission 15:

His time was beginning to run short, he probably only had enough time to do this mission and one more, depending on how fast he could get this mission done. He rushed towards the business sector of the village so he could begin another pointless mission. This one, believe it or not, was to pick up trash and put it into burning bins located along the street. This trash, you may ask, is indeed the leftovers for street vendors. Of course, these burn pits were put in place for the vendors to dispose of their own waste, and for their patrons to do the same, but of course, they didn't. No, they left that sort of basic, simplistic task for the genin of the village. Their personal street sweepers. Though, it didn't matter, he was being payed and he moved at his top speed and threw the bags with great might, so one could say this was a form of training. He spent several minutes doing this, and finally lit all the barrels that the waste may be disposed of. He returned to the mission tower once he had completed his task to receive his final mission of the day. It was going well so far, so he hoped this streak would end well.

Mission 16:

The sun was beginning to set over the village and Kuro was on his final jaunt of the day. He was on his way to a house just on the outskirts of the village to take out an elderly couple's two energetic pups for a walk, so they would be tired enough to go to sleep on time. When he arrived at the modest cottage, he was greeted by the elderly man and handed two leashes already attached to the hulking beasts. They immediately rushed out the doors and looked like they would jerk him along after them, but he held strong, their momentum working against them as they ran out of slack, jerking back suddenly. He dragged them through the village instead, at just a bit faster than they could run comfortably. He had them running their top speed the whole time. Once they arrived back at their home, and he handed them back off to their owners, the moment they were off the leash, the two canine slumped over to their beds and crawled in. They were snoring In seconds. Being congratulated on a job well done, Kuro took their signature back to the missions board where he was paid and told to come back in the morning as they were closing.
