Jounin Exams:Abyssal Vessel(Event)[Death Enabled]

Description: This is a special mission without rank restriction and non-refusable, specifically for the purpose of testing the limits of Jounin candidates. In addition to Jounin candidates, Chuunin candidates are also being picked to participate. Each Spc Jounin will be paired with a Genin partner. The mission is this. Many cavern entrances lead beneath the above ground portion to Shikigakure's forests. Your team will be assigned to a specific cave entrance and you will be required to explore the cave, survive whatever is within the dark tunnels & reach the very bottom of the cave. There, you will find scrolls which is encased in an amber-type clear rock. You must break the amber, retrieve a scroll and reach the surface of the caves with your whole team alive. OOC: Your character doesnt know where the scrolls are. Your character doesnt know they are encased in amber. Your character doesnt know that all of the tunnels lead to the same bottom cave room. There are 6 numbered scrolls, it doesnt matter which number scroll your team takes, or how many they take.

• The amber rock has an endurance of 2,000.

The caves of Shikigakure. A place of dark, wet and untold horrors waiting to happen. Many have lived through the Dark Forests of Shikigakure, but not a word has been spoken of the caves. Maybe no one has ever explored them... Or maybe, no one who has entered them, has survived to tell the tale. Whatever the case may be, it can't be all that bad, right? After all, SOMEBODY had to have gone down into the cave to place those scrolls for retrieval, right? With no knowledge of the caves, the layout or where the scrolls are- the five teams must go in blind and work their best together to complete the mission... Or at least, to survive.

The upper entrance of the caves are roughly man-sized holes which you must crawl into and through several hundred feet of belly crawling until you find wider tunnels which you can stand and fight in. There are five entrances total, numbered and entered according to your own team's number. The cave tunnels go on for miles, downward and spiraling. It will take hours of not days for you to safely navigate the cave tunnels(And not get lost, starve to death, get eaten by cave inhabitants, or killed by other teams!) Speaking of inhabitants, the cave is filled full of various creatures that above-ground dwellers just assume are monsters. Giant carnivorous worms that burrow through solid stone. Packs of blind feral canines with sensitive noses and sound, less than friendly feral humanoids who would prefer to make clothing out of your skin, and worse things.

The geography of the caves are very diverse. Sometimes your path may bet lit by glowing fungus, sometimes you will stumble around in the dark. Some areas are so small that you can barely fit through without clothes. Some areas have various traps- such as poisonous mushrooms which explode and release their particles throughout the tunnels. Sudden pitfall traps, cave-ins, shifting paths(like the tunnel is straight, but suddenly you find yourself walking back into a room you just came from). If your team manages to find your way to the very bottom of the cave tunnels, you will find the scrolls encased in a clearish yellow amber in the center of the room. This room is the most lit, with glowing fungus everywhere. There are countless holes throughout the bottom cavern room, which is the size of a football field. You will find that the scrolls encased in amber, are protected quite well. Although monsters refuse to enter this room, the amber rock itself is quite sturdy and quickly regenerates no matter how hard you hit it(Be careful to not get encased yourself in amber!) FInally, if you manage to free a scroll, the amber will release a portion of itself, which will take shape into a bipedal rock humanoid. An amber golem with amber release. The golem is roughly 20 meters in height and has the speed of 150, strength of 500, Endurance of 2,000 & chakra stat of 400. Defeat this monster, as it will seal off every cave exit until it is defeated. Then, suvive the return trip to the surface and hand your individual Kage, the scroll(s).

Out of the 5 teams which were supposed to participate. Only 2 full teams and a single individual, succeeded in reaching the bottom cavern. The rest of your characters fell short in both participation and activity in general. As this was a death enabled site event- your lack of participation has resulted in your characters dying during the exam. There are a few exceptions to this rule, as these individuals notified me beforehand and during, that they would not be able to participate or continue. I gave all of you ample opportunity and plenty of notification to participate, or tell me you couldn't. So I have little choice but to enforce the death enabled rules. The dead are as follows.

Of the remaining, those not listed, but not fully participated- were exempt due to notifying me beforehand that their participation would be lacking. Meiko Hyuga, Mugetsu Noblord, Makoto Hyuga & Sameonna Hoshigaki(Revamped to a different character during the exam). Additionally, although Meiko was carried by another team. They may have passed the exam, but forfeited their scroll reward to the team which aided them(Team 5). Those who survived & participated. Passed tot he next shinobi rank. Those who didn't pass but survived, will be required to do an invididual mission for promotion by their respective Kage.

As each team returned to the surface, they were met by teams of medical shinobi from each of the three villages. As the medics would check the participants for injuries, their respective kage would approach them. Each team would hand over their scrolls to their kage and be congratulated on a job well done. Then, right before each participants eyes- the kage would proceed to open each scroll and reveal a forbidden jutsu or item from within the said scrolls.

Each team may decide between themselves, whom may receive the reward. Please note that you are only eligible for the scroll rewards for which your team collected. Scroll rewards may not be traded between teams OOC, only IC. No IC surgery is required for this reward, simply redeem it for your character.
