Appearance:  A very small, roughly rectangular, dull gray box with a small button on one end and 串 etched onto the two large sides of the box. The inside is packed full of ninja wire and a tiny amount of gunpowder to launch said wire. Each of is just over two inches tall and about an inch wide, so they fit easily into the hand with the button conveniently placed near the thumb.

Spring Loaded: A very small mechanism inside the box allows the ninja wire within to be expelled rapidly in all directions at the release of the included button, once initially depressed. Alternatively, one can place these elsewhere or throw them and activate this mechanism in a manner just like an explosive tag, which costs a D rank of chakra. Either way, this scatters a criss-crossing of sturdy wire all about in a haphazard fashion, which could be used for booby trapping, or even just tricking someone into thinking a place is booby trapped. The mechanism by itself does nothing at all beyond this, but the wire is quite sturdy. Counts as "slashing," so it resists piercing type damage. The wires, through unknown means, never hit the person who uses it. In fact, they never appear to hit anyone at all, even when one attempts to aim. For this reason, they do absolutely no damage on their own and are best used in a tactical fashion. Or to quickly decorate a barren apartment.
Cost: 100 ryo for 10? The box itself is an item, not expendable. Therefor it would be full price. Not the ninja wire that is stored inside.
