Removing the Graffiti with the Boogie in it [Kioshi's Sad Solo Story]
Not as exciting as the one C-rank mission Kioshi had managed to pull off with a senior shinobi, but this one was sort of exciting.
The mission scroll said that Kioshi had to clean graffiti. Obviously, that wasn’t the exciting part. The excitement was imbued with the instructions to report anything suspicious. Usually, when such instructions are passed on as part of the mission, there is something to report. Kioshi was hoping he’d get a similar experience. Let’s face it, what kind of shinobi would like washing walls and finding cats? Or pulling weeds? Or pulling anything for that matter?
Kioshi wasn’t that kind of shinobi. And the thought of being able to accomplish something of actual worth excited him.
He found the wall that was described in the mission scroll. He had to give it to the artist, it was a pretty nicely done piece of wall art. It said: “The Boogie Must Boogie”. Quite the factual statement, regardless of whatever the “boogie” was. Upon arrival, Kioshi got to work. He was prepared with all the weapons necessary: a mop, a bucket full of water, some good soap, and rubber gloves. He wished that he knew some sort of jutsu that would help him do this thing quicker. If only he had some sort of water jutsu, that would be nice.
As he started cleaning, he noticed two shadows lurking around. One was an older gentleman, probably in his sixties. He was too interested in Kioshi’s work. The other was a young lad who appeared to be a school student of some sort. He too kept walking around as Kioshi cleaned the wall. It wasn’t just how they looked at Kioshi, it was how nervous the two looked. Nevertheless, his job wasn’t to apprehend them.
After concluding the task, he submitted his report and mentioned the two who looked suspicious. To his surprise, he later found out that it was the older gentleman who was responsible for the wall art / graffiti.
And his explanation for the act was: “None can bring down the boogie”. Only the wise ones would understand what that meant because Kioshi had no clue.
