Saiseishima stirred once gain, the small ancient island thrummed with violent energy. The barrier pillar that protected it shook violently and then disappeared. After what seemed like an eternity in the dead of night, the barrier once again reformed. What was its secret? Why was there a barrier there? Why did the barrier sometimes disappear, only to reappear? These would be questions that anyone would ask if that knew of the island. The only souls who seemed to know anything, were treated with disregard. "Old fish tails" as they were, unbelievable stories from elderly and sometimes senile old fishermen. Little did anyone know, these strange occurrences on the island of Saiseishima, were foreboding signs that monsters were being released from within the barrier. Bijuu as the monsters had mysteriously been coined. Who had named them? Why were they being released now? For what purpose? These would be questions no one but the reader would wonder about.

One thing was certain however. Natural storms of various nature ushered in each Bijuu's presence into their world- it was as if the first time a Bijuu touched down on the shinobi world, it wreaked unspeakable havoc for no reason. Such was the case when the second Bijuu made its appearance.

Unlike the first Bijuu however, the location and weather differed greatly. This time, the Bijuu appeared in Territory B8, the Land of Snow. Many things about this second Bijuu's sudden appearance was different from the first. The only similarities being the natural phenomenon storms and the senseless destruction the monsters brought. While the first Bijuu had descended in a chaotic lightning storm, this second Bijuu would appear in a sudden and dangerous blizzard.

The second appearance

It had been a normal day for the free folks in the Land of Snow. Samurai as they were. Warriors of the blade which wore the code of Bushido on their hearts, just a strongly as their bodies were adorned with metal suits. The Land of Snow was a territory adjacent to the Land of Iron- the heartland of the samurai nation. The Land of Snow was under Samurai protection however, and as such, many samurai lived within its borders. Their armor served as a good insulation against the cold, making their enemies easy to defeat in the warmth-stealing winds. This time, they would come to face a foe unlike any before in their long and prestigious history. In the territory of B8, a large group of samurai on their trek back to the Land of Iron, would suddenly become engrossed in a fierce blizzard. Snowstorms were a common weather hazard in the Land of Snow, so the samurai didn't think too much about it at first. After only an hour passed and the snow piled up a week's worth at a time, the samurai knew that this was no ordinary snowstorm.

Thirty or so of them in total. They worked hard to build a shelter to defend against the deadly weather. Quickly they constructed a log cabin by cutting down thick trees with a single strike from their katanas. With a log cabin quickly constructed, they gathered the most dry wood and piled inside the building together. A fire lit and huddled together, they waited out the blizzard which was so powerful, it had blotted out the midday sunlight and warmth. Two solid and miserable days would pass like this. Their rations would dwindle and their bodies would experience frost bite as the nights grew colder. Finally on the third day, the blizzard stopped. The samurai who weren't too weak or injured from the blizzard, exited the cabin which had been buried up to its roof in compacted snow. What they saw, stole all hope from their hearts. The blizzard had been bad, no doubt many unprepared villagers and free-folk would have froze to death- but that wasn't the worst of the situation. There was one being which was not phased by the blizzard.

An an unnaturally large black serpent tore its way through the snow mounds, roaring as it moved. Not one, but two serpents. The second emerging alongside the first giant reptile, the second one being white in color. They were so large that they toppled trees easily as their serpentine bodies traversed the snowy land, destroying small homes and easing the frozen or weakened residents within. Though the code of Bushido urged the samurai to protect the people of the land.... Their bodies were too weak from the blizzards unforgiving assault. Their hearts wavered at the daunting task. They returned to the log cabin buried beneath the snow. They would wait out the creature until dark. The able-bodied samurai would return to their homeland and request aid from wherever they could get it.

"A blizzard has summoned two primordial serpents" would be the message sent to every corner of the shinobi world
