Mission in the Caves [Jonin Exams]

Kuro waited at the entrance to the cave system. He didn't know exactly why he was here, he knew the smiling man had told him he should go here and take part in this mission. He wasn't exactly sure why, but here he was. The past few days had been a blur, one moment he was fighting a giant snake, then he was inside it, then he was getting orders to attend some kind of exams. He was given a headband to disguise himself as a ninja of Johogakure, since Shikigakure had declared himself and his teammate dead. They should have known better than to think some snake could do him in. He chuckled to himself with a crazed look in his eye. He would go into these caves, but only because the smiling one had said he could kill anyone that crossed his path, save for those assigned to his team. Speaking of which, that is who he was waiting on currently. If they showed up, he would simply stare at them and laugh if they said anything, otherwise when it was time to begin, he would head inside.

Shizune woke up with a fire in her belly. Today was the day that she was to compete in the international jonin exams. She was both nervous and excited, because this would be her first real chance to stand out to her kage, and possibly earn a promotion, if she survived. It was one thing to go on normal missions, but now, this was an environment that would be equally, or even more dangerous. She would need to take the necessary precautions. She had already placed the Court of Owls seal on herself when she had trained with Mugetsu-nii weeks prior, but, now she would place her revival seal on herself, performing the needed handseals and placing her right hand on her stomach, the seal would form. This way, if she was somehow killed, she would come back. She would then head to the meeting area to find a white haired man waiting on her. He was no doubt one of her teammates, she would move to introduce herself, but he seemed, off... "Hi, I'm Shizune Hatake! Lets work hard together!" She would say jovially, he would simply laugh in response. She figured that's all she would get from him, so she would wait for their final teammate, and if he didn't show up, she would follow the white haired one into the cave.

Jutsu Used:

Makoto had no village anymore; he was on his own. He had abandoned Shiki and left them to fend for himself as he knew he was the strongest ninja there. The only reason he was in the Jounin exams was because Rei Kaguya asked him to join, he didn’t nessecarily care about titles in the first place as he knew he was strong enough to take on the best of the best. He was dressed in all black, compression to be exact, even his sandals had an extremely tight fit. He didn’t know his teammates but that didn’t really matter to him as he knew he would just power his way through the exams if the whole team work makes the dream work situation didn’t work out. Upon coming to the entrance of the cave he had a cigarette lighted in his mouth, to other he was much too young to be smoking, but for him it was a stress reliver. His Byakugan would be active at the point of seeing them within the distance as it was second nature to not trust people at this point. He was greeted by a boy that looked around his age and a girl who looked like she just learned how to read but he didn’t base that on her power as he knew, anybody in these exams deserved to be here. Makoto would stroll in late without a word to either of them as he puffed on his cigarette before entering the cave.

Her new teammate just walked in without saying anything. Looks like she would be working with another silent type like Mugetsu-nii. Nothing she couldn't handle! She would rush in after him. "Hi, I'm Shizune Hatake! I'm proficient in sealing techniques! What's your name?" She hoped he would offer some insight into his identity and skill set, but she had no way of knowing this guy wasn't just an asshole who didn't care to work as a team. So, she would hope for the best but expect the worst in this case. She stuck close to her teammate though, whether he was chatty or not, he seemed to be able to get through this dark ass cave with little to no difficulty, so she figured it would be best to stay close anyways. She had her seals ready to activate if it came down to it, she would be able to attack and defend herself if needed.

Makoto would speak to the young girl as he crawled into the cave. “My name is Makoto Hyuga. And from what I can see which happens to be pretty far...” his voice would stop as he began to focus as he continued to crawl. This was a longer mission that Makoto thought it was, not only did they have to get to the bottom of the cave but as he was using his byakugan he could see that they had a long way to go. Miles to go. “We have a while to go so get used to this crawling.” Makoto would say as he noticed the tunnel would get smaller and smaller as they went, they would be crawling for a couple hours Makoto assumed so he decided to start conversation with the girl to keep the boredom away. “So is sealing all that your good at?” He would ask as they would continue to crawl down the cave making sure to avoid any weird fungi or insects.

Shizune would follow the man as they delved into the depths of the cave. He introduced himself as Makoto Hyuuga. It would also seem that the caves grew tighter the farther in they would go. She sighed as eventually, she too found herself crawling. Listening to his question she would nod, "Mostly, I am extremely proficient in Fuinjutsu and Cursed Seals. But, I also have some skill in Genjutsu, though not really comparable to my skill in the former. What are your skills, Makoto-nii?" She would ask this in a cute manner, as they continued their long crawl through the caves.
