The First Purge [Jounin Exams] Empty The First Purge [Jounin Exams]

Post by Xhesi no Akuma Mon Aug 26, 2019 10:06 pm

As it were, the time had come. The Jounin Exams had began just a few hours earlier. It was the first global event to happen in quite a long time, and surprisingly so given the strenuous history shared between the three major villages. Nevertheless, Sameonna was excited to get started on the journey toward a truer absolution. Preparation for this exam proved quite difficult as tension increased among civilians and shinobi alike.

As she wandered through the marketing province of Johogakure, there was hysteria flooding the streets like a tsunami washing over the village rooftops. Rumors of the exam being cruel and unforgiving, word of how many of the worlds Tokabetsu Jounin very well may never return to their homes. Sameonna digressed - this was the life of a shinobi. The risk a ninja takes by becoming who they are.

After all, once you consider most philosophies you begin to come to the conclusion that there truly is no right or wrong. Only what is, and is not. No good or evil, as a good man may pursue his own perceived evil for the greater good. No time.. Only what has been and will be. These were the laws of life that Sameonna lived by and acknowledged on a regular basis, evidenced by her lifestyle and the choices she has made. It was a catch fifty. You do as you must to survive.

Reading over the global enlistment sheet for the Jounin Exams, Sameonna had the realization that she would not only be participating in the exams, but she could also be accompanied by Tokabetsu Jounin of other villages such as Shikigakure or Chozogakure. This was surely a concontion for bad blood to boil. It almost made her think of it as a gaslighting method to spark up controversy politically or diplomatically. This is actually part of the reason Sameonna wants to travel to The Lands of Water, so as to completely rid herself of these tactics. They do nothing but ensure provocation and war.

Sameonna eventually made her way to the forests, and therein, a few hours spent traveling to the cave which the exam in Shikigakure was taking place. It was a well enough known cave, to the extent that the caverns were filled with beasts and creatures that could likely maim the most skilled of warriors. So much so in fact that the majority of the caves inner recesses had yet to be explored for fear that a team sent into them would not come back.

Thus, Sameonna actually thought it a fitting challenge to become a Jounin. What better way to root out the weak in a village that prides themselves in being strong above all else. Unlike the political agenda, Sameonna's own tenacities would be set aside for this mission. She had no intention of trying to harm a Tokabetsu Jounin from another village and hoped they would have the same mentality and approach when they arrive.

As time passed, Sameonna would have set up a small camp site fit with a compact crackling fire, a few moderately sized wooden stools made of surrounding branches and small loose stumps found just south of the canyon entrance. Luckily the climate here was rather dry most months, proving to be useful to those who may try to survive out in the forests of Johogakure. A few hours go by and finally, people began to show up. Sameonna would greet whoever may arrive with a smile and a traditional bow.

The First Purge [Jounin Exams] Empty Re: The First Purge [Jounin Exams]

Post by Meiko Hyūga Wed Aug 28, 2019 10:42 pm

Meiko woke up both as nervous and excited as she had ever been. It was the day of the Jounin exams. She was excited to prove that she could get to the rank of Jounin only using Medical Ninjutsu, but she was nervous because she had to prove herself with a team of total strangers. Not only just strangers, strangers from different villages. She didn’t know if she could trust them or rely on them. Meiko knew that she’d have to overcome her anxiety and show up to the exams with the hopes that they were good shinobi.

Meiko head off to the caves with the limited supplies that she had. Money had been a little tight so she wasn’t able to buy any Kunai or Senbon. She had to go into this hoping that her jutsu were enough or that her teammates would be nice enough to lend her a Kunai.

When Meiko arrived at the caves she saw a young lady standing there. She had blue skin and long blue hair, unlike anything that Meiko has seen before. Meiko approached the blue maiden and introduced herself awkwardly, “H-Hello, I-I’m Meiko H-Hyuga. I l-look forward t-to being on a t-team with you.” Meiko knew that she just made the worst impression that she could make on someone. How was her teammate going to trust that she was a good shinobi if she could barely even introduce herself?

The First Purge [Jounin Exams] Empty Re: The First Purge [Jounin Exams]

Kuro made his way to the entrance to the cave system. He didn't know exactly why he was here, he knew the smiling man had told him he should go here and take part in this mission. He wasn't exactly sure why, but here he was. The past few days had been a blur, one moment he was fighting a giant snake, then he was inside it, then he was getting orders to attend some kind of exams. He was given a headband to disguise himself as a ninja of Johogakure, since Shikigakure had declared himself and his teammate dead. They should have known better than to think some snake could do him in. He chuckled to himself with a crazed look in his eye. He would go into these caves, but only because the smiling one had said he could kill anyone that crossed his path, save for those assigned to his team. Speaking of which, it would seem that they were already waiting for him outside of the caves. He approached and offered a casual wave, but had a crazed look in his eye that did not go well with the wave. It was obvious that something was... unhinged about him, but what that was exactly wasn't as obvious. Though, he would simply wait for them to finish talking or whatever and head straight into the cave. He was excited to get into the action.

Xhesi suddenly thought of a better course of action to take, and thought it best to leave this place before things got messy. She would leave the 2 shinobi who showed up to their devices, bidding them farewell before leaping into the sky and becoming lost in the treeline.
