History: Akira and Taichi Yuki had always been an odd couple. Not odd in the sense that they were strange people, but more in the sense that they were complete and total opposites. Taichi grew up in the Uzumaki clan, gentle and caring, very quickly becoming one of Shiki's most promising and bright medical ninja at a young age. Meanwhile Akari grew up in a time where the Yuki clan's warmongering was becoming more and more apparent. She was often seen as cold-hearted, some might even say down right cruel. Yet despite being polar opposites, the two fell in love. It was only one year after marriage that they bore a baby boy, Ryota. Of course, with the Yuki clan being a matriarchy, the head bearing a male child is often seen as unfortunate. This was the case with Ryota. At least, by Akira. The woman rejected the boy almost instantly, causing him to become a black sheep of sorts. It was up to Taichi and the rest of the clan to ensure the newborn would survive. Luckily, he did. But Akira was still wanting a girl. And not but three years later, she received her wish. Olwen was born, and for the first time, Akira bore a smile.

Growing up was a bit hard for Olwen. Her parent's relationship was straining thanks to Akira's rejection of Ryota. In turn, Ryota grew to despise the clan's matriarchy and rejection of his mother. He would take his frustrations on Olwen. Taichi tried to calm them whenever he could, but Akira merely watched on as it would happen.
From a young age Olwen was taught to fight from the clan. She found it tough to master their unique jutsu but grew more and more used to it over the years. She was quite happy, most of the time. Akira adored her daughter, showering her in praise and affection, as did her father.
However, Taichi grew more worried as the child grew older. She seemed a little bit more slow in the mind than others. It was when she was seven that he began to train her in medical jutsu, knowing if she mastered the art then maybe when she grew to be leader she could turn the Yuki clan into something better than his wife's vision. Of course, Akira was not amused by this at all. And, mysteriously, the day after Olwen's eighth birthday, he went missing. It was also upon this day that Akira kept a closer eye on Olwen. Quite literally. For most days, all day, Akira and Olwen were together. Her mother kept her from the rest of the clan and the outside world. Every day she trained Olwen, each lesson more harsh than the last, some lessons even involving nearly killing the child in the process.
Despite these lessons, Olwen continued her practicing of the healing arts in secret. She hoped to carry on her father's legacy, never feeling quite right in what her mother was trying to teach her. Of course, Akari would sometimes find this out, in which harsh punishment would ensure...

Olwen didn't see the light of day again until her fifteenth year, in which her mother allowed her to enter the academy to become a shinobi. Despite being inexperienced with other children Olwen passed the exams with flying colors, far surpassing the strength of her other classmates by ten fold.
Since then she has become apart of one of Shiki's medical teams. Although her main goal is to protect the medics, she does try every now and again at her hand in healing. Though, she is infamous for accidentally killing her patients... Still, it hasn't stopped her from trying to become a doctor yet.
