Mission For Team Muggy and Shizune! [Partner Mission]

Mission:

Shizune arrived at their training ground, it was a nice morning, one that did not befit the mission that they had to undertake this very beautiful day. She was wearing her normal clothes, and had a vibrant smile on her face. She had been truly pushing herself into the dirt with her training and she had a feeling that she had grown much stronger. She wondered how Mugetsu had done with his own personal training? She would wait for him, standing in the middle of the training field as opposed to in the tree as she had last time. She knew that their mission was to assassinate a well known businessman, this would be something right up Mugetsu's alley as he had that assassin look about him, tall and brooding. She had been on enough assassination missions that she was used to it by now. She had been working on her jutsu and taijutsu since then and was looking forward to showcasing her own improvements. She also wondered what new things Mugetsu had learned from their last encounter, she knew he was stronger. She knew she would be impressed by his skills never the less.

Mugetsu had been falling behind on his training as a ninja. Although he quickly climbed to the rank of the chunin he became stagnant. That was purely because of his obligations towards his clan. His father had made sure to groom Mugetsu to become the next head of his clan. He did not care for Mugetsu's current standing in the village. He wanted him to awaken their Kekkai Genkai. But what he did not understand was that Mugetsu needed to do it own his own. So while Mugetsu was learning the ins and outs of his clan he was falling behind those of his generation. He knew that he would severely be behind his partner Shizune. That child was a prodigy unlike he had ever seen and it was truly going to fill him with shame facing her again and falling behind her so much. But that was not going to stop him from doing missions with her. He found her interesting so he was going to continue the partnership and attempt to catch up as best as he could. He would meet at the agreed location, the same spot where they had first met to start their mission. This mission had been a dream for Mugetsu, his first official assassination mission. There were others but thats not to be spoken on at this time. He would see her and wave before delivering a single cold sentence, "How are we going to handle this?"

Shizune smiled brightly as her partner approached. The tall blonde standing nearly twice her own height, but she could tell he had grown stronger, if not physically than in intelligence and experience. She took a moment to ponder his question, straight to business as usual it would seem. She knew that with her summons it would be easier to simply overwhelm their target, but using stealth would most likely be their best option. "I think your expertise in stealth would be the best in this mission. My summon can help us in a tight spot, but for the most part, it would be best to go in stealthily, at least until we know what we are dealing with." It was a simple decision, but was one that would determine the course of the entire mission.

Stealth? That was how Shizune chose to handle the mission. Such a comment made Mugetsu happy but he didnt know if he had the actual ability to preform stealth capable of fooling someone at this level of mission. In fact Mugetsu had another plan, he wanted to be used a bait for the businessmen man and allow Shizune to handle taking him down. While Mugetsu felt that assassinations were his thing he wasn't so foolish as to not know his limits. "While I do think stealth is a part of a way to handle this mission I think another is to use bait. Use me as a bait and you can let the man lower his guard. During that time you can follow us in the shadows and take him down. That way we can completely bypass his guards and I should be able to escape before they could even know what hit them."

Shizune was glad she had someone like Mugetsu as her partner, his tactical mind was nothing to giggle at! She nodded excitedly with a big grin on her face at his suggestion. She thought it would be a marvelous idea to do something more overtly sneaky than covert ops. She figured that Mugetsu could figure out a way to get in with the mob boss, she just had to follow them without being seen, which would be easy enough. "I hear that he hands out at the lumber yard In the forests. You can probably find him there. I guess you can find a way to get in? I'll be flying on Fuujin waiting for your signal." With that, she preformed a few seals and a puff of smoke appeared below her and she took to the sky, riding on the back of an owl.

"Say no more." Just as Shizune finished speaking, he would began running to lumber yard. Mugetsu had already knew what the man looked like, he mission request provides such information. Just as he entered the yard he would immediately spot the man. There was only one way to get the man's attention and Mugetsu would not need words for such a thing. Sprinting directly towards the business man and jumping inbetween the guards the man dressed head to toe in black would appear as a blur as his fist landed onto the business mans face. "I heard you needed children so that you could run your business. Lets see how you deal with us!" Mugetsu upon seeing the man had let his emotions cloud his judgement, something of which he had never done often. He did not go through what the plan he set but this action had garner better results. Mugetsu after punching the man would immediately be chased by his guards. But because of his pure speed there was no way that they could find him. Mugetsu would lose them by using the lumber stacks in the yard to remain hidden. It could be said they he did use stealth to complete this mission. But whether the mission was truly complete now would rely on Shizune. The business was alone and his guards had been looking for Mugetsu now was the time to strike.

Shizune watched as her teammate ran off beneath her. She flew over the lumber yard at a height that she could see everything but if they noticed her, they would just think a hawk was circling. She was tempted to rush in when she saw Mugetsu land an attack on the man, but she stayed her hand as he ran off with the guards in a less than hot pursuit. But, once she saw his plan go so smoothly, she had no choice, but to pull into the plan herself. She played her part perfectly, her owl swooping in and grabbing the man up, pulling him into the air and then dropping him so far that once he DID hit the ground, he was flattened by the impact. Once her and her partner moved back to the village to get a mission complete, she would head back to her home.

Mission 2:

Mugetsu right after finishing his job, returned to their meeting spot. He wondered if Shizune had finished the mission. They would turn it in later but Mugetsu had a surprise for her. He had just before coming had been stopped by an elder in the village who knew of their two man squad. They had requested they take another mission. This mission had been a lot more simple then the last it was to find and capture a chunin. A chunin and a special jounin had caused quite a ruckus and killed a few people unintentionally they needed to be brought to justice. The chunin had fled through a forest not to far from here and the special jounin had been captured. Mugetsu waited for Shizune to come back, he knew the child liked to keep busy and so this mission was going to be a gift for her.

Shizune had almost arrived at her house when she was informed that her team had picked up another B-ranked mission to take on for the day. So, she quickly turned around and rushed back to where Mugetsu would be waiting for her. When she arrived, she would offer a huge smile and would ask, "So, what is this second mission that we will be taking on, Mugetsu-nii?" It was a cute, childish question and tone that revealed, in spite of the lives she had taken and her strength as a kunoichi, she was still just a seven year old. She still had a lot of maturing to do before she was ready to come into her own as a shinobi.

Mugetsu knew that his partner would arrive right on time and he would give her the mission paper to let her read on her own. Giving a brief second the red eye'd child would began sprinting. They had to hurry every second they waited gave another chance for the chunin to get away. "Shizune since your faster than me I think you should directly chase after him. That'll cause him to panic and lower his guard. Hell be so focused on you that I can slip through the shadows and take him down. Hell never be able to see me in the darkness with how black my clothes are." This was Mugetsu's thoughts while he sprinted towards the location the chunin was spotted. He was sure Shizune wouldn't object to the plan and so he would immediately without a response dive into the shadows of the trees and disappear without a trace. That was something he admired about Shizune, although she was a child she understood Mugetsu better than anyone even if they had only been working together for a short time. The was no need for words only action and that was the goal of this two man cell.

Shizune had to admit, the man made a good point, so she did as he said. He had rushed off into the woods, and she, herself would do the same, except heading in the particular direction the Chuunin in question had been stated to have ran off in. She took off at a modest pace for herself, moving not too fast and not too slow, it wouldn't be that crazy for the chuunin to see her coming, and even more than that, for him to take off running away from her once he did see her, because SHE wasn't trying to be stealthy, no, she actually wanted his direct attention to be focused on her. That way, Mugetsu would be able to surprise him. She saw that he was just ahead of her, so she ran towards him, making a lot of noise as she did so. He looked up and took off in the opposite direction, much as she had hoped he would. She ran slower, that way she could appear to gain on him without totally overtaking him, That wasn't the plan, after all. She knew that Mugetsu would be up ahead and would be able to catch the boy, thusly allowing her to tie him up and then the two of them to drag him back to the village to face judgement.

Mugetsu was certainly glad to have a partner that didn't need to ask questions. He was sure that Shizune when she grew up would already be a prominent figure in the village. Hell Mugetsu didn't doubt that with her talent she could be the Hokage in the future. The brooding black assassin was going to make sure to stick by her and watch her grow and help her as much as he could. Mugetsu never really liked to interact with people before nor did he care about many unrelated to him. But for someone who understood him well it was hard for his heart not to open up a little bit. But enough of that, he needed to focus on the mission and capture the idiot who committed murder and thought he could run. As the plan went Mugetsu ran through the shadow of the trees adjacent to the chunin. As he imagined his speed was slightly bit faster than the chunin so he was able to keep up with him easily. It was as Mugetsu foretold the chunin in his drunk state was purely focused on the prodigy child chasing him then the danger lurking in the shadow. Just when the chunin would turn around for the last time to check the distance between him and Shizune would Mugetsu make his move. Leaping from the shadows directly in front of the sprinting Chunin, Mugetsu would aim a kick into the mans face. He would use the entire force of his body to kick the man. Just as the chunin turned back around he would directly run into the kick. Without knowing it was even there it was no way he could stop the kick and thus moments later he could only feel his brain rattle. The force of the kick was enough to knock out the chunin and he would likely never know where the attack had came from. He was going away for a while without any way to ask questions, "Mission Complete, good job as always Shizune." Mugetsu waited until he heard her response before laying the chunin over his shoulder he of course was gonna turn in the man himself no need for his partner to do such a little task.

As she chased the man, she noticed that he was most certainly drunk, the way he kept glancing back at her as they ran was so unlike a ninja, that he would have to be drunk to run as such as a Chuunin of the village. She, herself, was merely still a Genin, but had enough strength and knowledge that she was able to do many more things than most kids her age. She chased the man into an area that was a slightly darker section of the forest, one that, she knew, would be opportune for Mugetsu to prey on the man. Shizune watched as her partner ran along beside the man she was corralling, totally unnoticed and hidden from his view. It wasn't until it was simply too late that the man had felt the kick to the side of his head. It was a swift end to a short chase. The man hit the ground like a sack of rocks. Shizune was able to quickly catch up to them and would look to see Mugetsu throwing the man over his shoulder, congratulating her for another successful mission. "Oh, Mugetsu-nii, you did all the work!" She would state matter-of-factly. It was a fact, to be sure, that he had done all of the heavy lifting and the knocking out, and the 'fighting' that was entailed in the mission, all she had done was chase a drunken fool. She wanted to take on slightly harder missions, so that she would be able to see just how strong she was, one never knew until they found their limits, after all.

Mission:

It was right after they had turned in their bounty from the last mission, that Shizune would pick up another. It was uncommon to be able to pick up just so many missions in one day. She went back outside where she showed her partner the mission scroll. It contained information about retrieving a rare herb from the forests outside the village. It was supposedly very important to the hospital to help those suffering from chakra exhaustion. But, it was also being hunted down by a bandit group, which was why it appeared to be so rare. They would most likely face some opposition in their mission, but she knew they could handle it as a team!

Mugetsu was growing tired but he knew that they were making progress. His experience had been growing. His tactial thinking had been expanding. Most of all his ability to put his trust into other people and let his guard down was starting to happen slowly but surely. By this point Mugetsu had no doubt hs could trust Shizune and was willing to follow her lead. One more mission would not hurt Mugetsu for the day. "Mere bandits think they can stop us? Lets put them in their place Shizune. Since I took all the work in the last mission. Ill let you have most of the work in this mission. The request states that there are five bandit members guarding the area. I shall take two and leave the remaining three to you." Mugetsu would offer akward smile. It was seen that he was trying to open up but for anyone to ask for more would be stared at with deep killing instinct.

Once she had given Mugetsu the mission scroll, and he had given her his reaction, she would nod happily before the two of them would take off into the forests to begin their mission. She could tell that Mugetsu was beginning to get much more open with her and she would do her best to keep proving to him that she was worthy of trust. As soon as they got deep into the forest, they would spot a small camp with two tents and a smoldering fire. There were five bandits sitting around the fire, one of them with a jar filled with the flower they sought. Shizune would give Mugetsu a thumbs up, signaling that it was time for them to move in on the bandits.

Mugetsu had indeed seen the same five bandits sitting around the fire and with Shizune signal he was happy to began his attack. He was sure to take the bandits furthest away from the one holding the Persephone Flower. He would leave the retrieval to Shizune he was more than confident in her ability to hand these petty bandits. Mugetsu would rush towards the bandits from the clearing. He was sure to become the center attention to allow Shizune to become undetected and freely handle the situation however she desired. As expected two bandits would stand up to meet the. It appeared the other three didn't think it was necessary to step in. For then this would prove to a terrible mistake. Mugetsu would wait until he was five meters from the bandits before starting his attack he wasnt even going to allow them to approach him any close.

Mugetsu would form a set of hand signs. The tiger, ox, and dragon signs were clearly seen before a thick layer of chakra would cover Mugetsu's his hands and feet. "Phantom Assault." Mugetsu would first preform a round kick at the bandit on the right using his left leg. Mugetsu used his entire force behind the kick. The bandits would stare at him and laugh as his attack was five meters away from him and could not reach that far. But as soon as the kick reached the point of where the bandits jaw would be if Mugetsu was close enough his kick would suddenly extend to the length of where the targets jaw was. To be more exact the space between Mugetsu and the bandit had been erased with his space time chakra. Mugetsu himself was still five meters away but his kick would connect with the bandits jaw as if he was directly in front of him. The bandit struck in the jaw would completely fall unconscious as his partner on the left of him stood in shock.

Before the second bandit on the left could even recover from watching his friend fall from and attack of a ninja that was so far away, Mugetsu would strike again. This time Mugetsu would throw a punch forward with his right hand repeating the process or erasing the space in between the punch and the target. The same event would take place as the punch connected with the jaw of the target knocking him unconcious. Mugetsu would look in the direction of his partner no matter where she was and signaled he to began her attack. His part of the mission was done and it was now time to watch his partner have some fun.

"The rest is up to you Shizune. Teach these idiots a true lesson."

Jutsu Used:

Shizune watched as her teammate began his attack. It was truly awe inspiring to see the work of taijutsu that the man put out. He took down the two bandits with very little real issue, he was very strong, much stronger than the untrained fools he was facing. There were three left, simpletons that wouldn't take much more effort than she had ever given out to any foe she had faced. To date, only Mugetsu was a worthy opponent from her, and even a fight with him was over the moment she touched him. This fight would be over the moment it really started. She leapt into the middle of the camp the remaining three thugs startled at first, but then, they broke into laughter. "You sent a child to fight the rest of us?! That's hilarious!" Before he could say any more, or his friends could add their input, Shizune went to work.

She ducked between ones legs, moving behind him and placing a hand on his back. A seal would form, and then another seal over top of it. She would then spin around him to face the other two thugs. They, now realizing this kid was fast, went to attack her. She made sure to keep her eye on the rare flowers they had been sent to retrieve, but she ducked a punch, placing the same two seals on the mans arm from beneath, not that he noticed. And then placed the same seals on the others leg as he attempted to kick her. This all happened in the span of a few seconds.

When she was done, the three of them moved to attack her with a single punch, but suddenly found themselves unable to move. She would smile cutely and grab the container of the flowers before walking off carrying it behind her back. She would approach Mugetsu, who was waiting several meters away. She would smile at him before a look of rememberance would come across her features. she would turn back to the men and form a half ram seal. They would all explode violently before she would look to Mugetsu and brandish their reward, "Looks like that's another mission complete, Mugetsu-nii!" She would exclaim.

Jutsu Used:
