Meeting the new Partner! [P, Mugetsu]

Shizune arrived at the training grounds a few minutes earlier than she was told to in the scroll she had received the day prior. She was being placed onto a two man cell for the time being with another man by the name of Mugetsu. She didn't know him, but figured it was probably because they ran in different circles. Either way, she wore her normal clothing, a white tank top covered by a black sleeveless jacket. Her blond hair kept out of her face by two black hair clips. She had arrived early, so she sat on a tree branch overlooking the training area, her legs dangling off the side. Whenever her new teammate did arrive, she would wave at him enthusiastically and drop down, landing gracefully on her feet from the nearly twenty-foot drop. "Hi there! I'm Shizune, your new teammate! I hope we can work together!" It was a simple introduction coming from a simple little six year old. But, regardless of what people think about her age, it did say something about her skill and potential.

Mugetsu had been told to arrive at a meeting point to meet the person that was going to be in the two man cell for a little while. It would seem the meeting location was a standard training within a well known area of the village. The young genin dressed entirely in a black combat attire meant for espionage, would be shrouded in the darkness of a large cluster of trees around the training grounds. The area he was in allowed him see the entire area of the training grounds and from this point he could see a small person sitting on a tree branch not to far away from him. Was this the person he was going to meet?

Choosing to step from out of the shadows, Mugetsu entire appearance could be seen. Alongside him being covered completely in black the first thing that one would notice was his long silky blonde hair which was in stark contrast to his clothing. His hair had been slicked back behind his ears revealing his almost ghostly pale skin color. But his eyes seemed to be the most visually appealing as they held a scarlet blood red color that though glisten from sunlight as it hit them.

Mugetsu would watch as the body of what he thought small child leaped down from her resting place and approached him. It would seem that his guess was correct. She was indeed his new teammate. To say that Mugetsu was a little bit surprised would be reasonable. But he had chosen not to question the child. Her talent and skills would eventually speak for themselves which is why he was capable to look past her age. "Impressive... I am Mugetsu Noblord." That was all he intended to say to the girl for now. His words were almost cold and lifeless but he was indeed complimenting her. He was not a man of many words nor was he easily impressed so it could be said that this girl had already received a bit of respect from him. In regards to the direction in which this meeting would go he would let her decided. He needed to study his new teammate more before he could truly gauge who she was.

When the tall man arrived, it would seem that the two were somewhat of polar opposites. He was tall and foreboding, he had a dark aura about him and wore the shadows like a coat. The man was truly darkness incarnate if she had to describe him to someone, that is probably what she would say about his aura. She nodded to the man, he seemed to compliment her, saying she was impressive. He seemed rather impressive as well, but of course she had no idea what his skills were. Maybe a spar would help the two of them get better acquainted? "Mugetsu-san, how about we have a friendly spar to feel each other out and get a better grasp on our respective strengths and weaknesses. It would also allow us to see our fighting styles and help us to work as a more effective team in future missions!" She finished her thought with an energetic smile and a cute pose holding up a victory sign.

Mugetsu was intrigued when the girl had asked to spar but of course his face did not show such a thing. He felt that was spar was the perfect way for them.to get acquainted with each other. In fact Mugetsu had already wanted to fight Shizune. For a child at her age to already become a chunin she was sure more than meets the eye. A simple nod yet clear nod was all that he would offer the girl in response to show his willingness. If she wanted Mugetsu to become more social and interactive she wpuld need to give him a reason to be those things. Her accomplishments at her age were truly shocking however that would not be enough to make the rather cold young man change himself just yet. Taking a step back he would create a healthy distance between themselves as he waited for the spar to began. While Mugetsu was typically the one who preferred to strike first he felt a reactionary assault would garner him better knowledge.

It seemed the man wouldn't be opposed to a light sparring session to see where they both stood in regards to their fledgling team. She noticed the space he put between them and decided that it was for the best to allow it. She figured it would be her that would begin this impromptu battle, forming some hand seals at a blinding speed, she would slam her hand on the ground, a sealing formula forming before giving way to a cloud of smoke. When the smoke cleared, it would reveal her standing next to an owl that was slightly taller than she. The owl itself had brown feathers and a white face, with piercing yellow eyes. She would then begin her attack, dashing to the left while the owl would take to the air and circle off to the right. The first thing Mugetsu would likely notice, is that the owl was significantly faster than Shizune. It moved fast and would bring its talons to attack the tall assassin with a scratch. Shizune, would go low, attempting to sweep Mugetsu's legs out from under him while her summon did its work. She wondered if this quickly thought up tactic would be successful. Time would tell.

Mugetsu was certainly ready for Shizune assault. He knew that there were a few things that he could do but he had already settled on a strategy to defend against his soon to be partner. Forming the necessary hand signs of monkey, tiger, and monkey; Mugetsu would first with a movement of his left hand open a portal in front of him where the owl attempted to scratch him. The scratch attack would go through the portal and with a flick of right hand Mugetsu would open another portal right infront of Shizune's waist. As the second portal would open from it the owls scratch attack would pass through attempting to strike its master, "Relocation Level One." Just as Mugetsu was free from the assault of the owl he would leap backwards avoiding Shizune's sweeping attack. Mugetsu would then run to the left of Shizune before swiveling his entire body to aiming to launch a full body powered kick into the right side of her body. It was a simple attack indeed but he wanted to see how she would respond under the pressure of both an attack from her own summoning as well as a powerful kick from Mugetsu himself. He was sure that she would not let him down and that she indeed had further tricks up her sleeve. But so did he.

Shizune was surely not expecting the attack of Fuujin to appear in front of her, she managed to slide under it and was aimed to continue her attack, but it would seem that Mugetsu was faster than she had originally given him credit for. As she began her slide, she started forming handseals at a blinding rate, Horse, Rat, Dog, Monkey. Then she was hit by his kick. It would be natural for him to assume that he had thwarted whatever jutsu she had been preparing when he kicked her and her hands seemed more focused on keeping the pressure from his leg off of her chest than forming handseals, but in actuality, she would be planting a black seal on him that blended well with his black clothes. She would allow the force from the kick to then act as a bit of a spring board, pushing herself backwards to gain more distance, springing off her hands and landing several meters away. "You're pretty good, Mugetsu-nii!" she would say with a cute grin.

Mugetsu's sly attacks had been sucessful. But there was something all. This had been too easy. He left the exchange without Shizunr counter attacking? No she had to have been up to something but only time could tell. For now Mugetsu would continue his physical assault. "You say that I am good? Lets your talents I know this isnt the extent of your ability." Mugetsu would dash forward once again to keep putting the pressure on Shizune. If he had to force her to show her skills than that is exactly what he was going to do. Leaping into the sky in front of Shizune, Mugetsu would flip his body forward before extending his right leg outward using the downward momentum of the flip to perform an axe kick. Mugetsu was sure to keep an eye on the owl summoning his opponent had called forth. He was fully aware that Shizune was not alone in this fight but that didnt mean Mugetsu would dare to be passive.

Shizune chuckled slightly, it would seem that he suspected her of foul play. She was impressed, though she knew he had no idea what she had done. Nor would he until it was too late. She wouldn't hurt him, but she most certainly didn't plan to hold back on him. He had leapt into the sky to deliver a kick to her from above. She would raise her hands, wincing as she caught the kick, but then gripped it much tighter, using his momentum and her own strength to spin and throw the man away from herself. Fuujin swooping down to claw at the man himself at maximum speed. This would be much harder for the man to dodge when he was already mid air.

Mugetsu was finally excited when Shizune would counter attack. He could do nothing as he was swung and thrown away from her but as he always kept his eyes on the owl summoning he knew that it would not be fair away from him to follow up on his masters throw. It would seem that was exactly their plan to attack while Mugetsu was in mid it. But what type of ninja would he be if he did not have some sort of way to defend himself from an aerial attack? He knew that the summoning would be wary of his Relocation jutsu this time so that was not what Mugetsu would use. This time after forming the Ox, Horse, and Bird handsigns, Mugetsu would position his hands to were the owl was going to strike. Hastily releasing space time chakra from his palms at just before he was about to be struck, the space that the chakra had covered would instantly expand. In doing so this would create space inbetween Mugetsu and the summoning. Shizune and the Owl would now be able to notice that the summoning had now been twenty meters away from Mugetsu, "Spatial Cushion."

Using this ability would give Mugetsu plenty of breathing room to return to his feet but he was not not finished. Running forward and preforming the serpent, hare, and dragon hand signs a visible layer of purple and pink energy would be seen surrounding Mugetsu's hand. Without a moments notice he would punch his right hand forward towards the summoning and firing the chakra on his hand. He would then repeat the same process with his left hand but instead firing it at Shizune. The chakra constructs would take the shape of Mugetsu's fists and arm but if they struck an opponent they were eat through their defenses to inflict piercing damage, "Spatial Bullet!"

Mugetsu had fallen for her attack, to a degree. He had done some jutsu to push her owl away from him. She allowed the summon to dissipate, Fuujin poofing into smoke. He had gained a lot of space between the two of them now, and it seemed that he was content to capitalize on that now. She wouldn't allow it, however, as soon as he took off dashing in her direction, she would form a half-ram seal, activating the curse she had placed. Mugetsu would find black markings spreading across his whole body, paralyzing him. He would find himself immediately unable to move before he would be able to preform a single handseal. Shizune would then rush towards him, only to stop just in front of him. "Looks like I got ya, Mugetsu-nii! You put up a good fight, but I've got you now!" She held up a 'Victory' sign with her two fingers, and gave a wide grin. She didn't know if he had a way to escape, so she kept her guard up. It would not surprise her if he had something up his sleeves to escape, but it was also unlikely, this was her most powerful seal.

Shocked, that was the once word Mugetsu could use to explain what he was feeling currently. Just before he was about to fire his Spatial bullet not only did the owl summoning disappear but something even more strange had occurred. Mugetsu would notice a sealing formation spread across his whole body and then immediately stopped him from moving. Now normally a fuinjutsu technique that restricted movements was not so surprising but what Mugetsu did notice that this particular technique was incredibly powerful.

No matter how much he would struggle or any form of technique he would use he was positive that he could not break free from this sealing formation covering his body. Although his fighting spirit still burned intensely there was nothing he could do, he had been suppressed thoroughly. Staring at Shizune there would be a slight look of amazement covering his face. Where did this child come from, what is her background, how could she be a simple genin? These were all the questions flowing through his mind currently that he would one day want to know the answer to but now he would continue to observe. "It seems that you have got me. Well done..." Such words coming from Mugetsu would be shocking to those who knew him. He never talked much nor had he ever complemented someone more than once. It could be seen that Shizune had exceeded all expectations.

Allowing a large smile to brandish her cheeks, she would release the jutsu, the marks vanishing off of Mugetsu's skin like sand blowing in the wind. She would then hold out her fist for him to bump if he wished, a sign of partnership and equality on the field of battle. She recognized him as someone worthy of fighting. And most certainly someone worthy of learning from. "Say, Mugetsu-nii, could you teach me some jutsu? I only know my summonings and some seals, I'd like to learn about Space Time however." she had a general understanding of the art, but it certainly wouldn't hurt to learn more about it, especially from one who had the skills that Mugetsu had shown.

Mugetsu was released from the jutsu as he admitted defeat and was not ashamed of his loss. But more so than the technique that shocked him what came next was even more shocking. Shizune wanted to learn from him Learn from him? Such words were almost enough to make Mugetsu laught but his cold outter appearance would not allow such a reaction to happen. As his faced remained almost expressionless he would stare at Shizune again. This child was a prodigy it would not be hard for her to use any of the techniques in Mugetsu's arsenal at the moment. Although Mugetsu felt she didnt need his help he would humor her. It wouldnt hurt to help her learn more about Space Time jutsu outside the standard summoning jutsu. In fact his entire clan had been built and established on sharing the creation of techniques and knowledge in regards to space time ninjutsu. While Mugetsu knew his clan had become more secrective since their kekkai genkai awakened, he would still not stop the sharing of techniques and knowledge from his clan. The original founders of the association in which his clan had evolved from would not shy away a person who held interest in Jikukan techniques so neither would he. "Very well... Lets start with the Spatial Cushion technique... The hand signs are Ox, Horse, and Bird. Try to remember what I had done right before your owl had attacked me." Mugetsu would say no more, nor would he show her how to the tecunique worked again. He wanted to test her and see if his assumptions were correct. Would she remember how the technique worked and would she be able to replicate it without him showing it to her again? Such a test was needed to make sure that him giving her his techniques was worth it. Mugetsu would walk directly in front of her. If she was able to expand the space inbetween him and return to him the spot he was originally in then she would have mastered the technique and he would teach her without worry.

Shizune preformed the hand seals as the man told them to her, slowly at first, trying to get her muscles to remember them. Under her breath, muttering their names as she created them, "Ox... Horse... Bird..." She did this around three times before deciding that she had the basics of the seals down, next she would preform them at half her maximum speed, still getting used to forming them with now adding chakra into it. She would then mimic what he had done against her owl, holding her hands out and attempting to push the chakra out to create a blast. The result, was a failure of preforming the jutsu. Absolutely nothing happened but a small shift in the air, no moving space or anything of that nature. She would grunt a little bit before trying again, much to the same effect.

Mugetsu guess had been correct. She indeed didnt need his help to learn the abilities. Despite her first couple of times ending up in a failure she did manage to create a miniscule amount of space. That was proof that she herself could master the technique with a little bit more effect. Mugetsu would continue standing still and silent he was adamant about not helping her with this technique she had gained a few passing marks in regarding to this test but it had not been completed just yet. While Mugetsu observed Shizune attempting to recreate Spatial Cushion, unknown to him a pink and purple chakra would began flashing and fluctuating in his eyes. Shizune too would not notice as well l seeing as how she was engrossed in using the technique. What was happening to Mugetsu? Only time would tell. Mugetsu would fold his arms in anticipation he was waiting to see what she could truly do.

Shizune went about it again, going through the handseals as quickly as she comfortably could, not doing anything much differently than the last time, except this time she put much more chakra into the technique, hoping that it would push more. She ran through them again and again, before finally, something happened. She was blasted backwards by a powerful release of chakra. She grunted as she hit the ground and would stand shakily, she was definitely making progress though and it wouldn’t be much longer before she was able to preform the jutsu successfully. She had to admit it was nice learning something from Mugetsu, he was knowledgeable when it came to space-time techniques and he was possibly the best person for her to learn from now.

It would seem Shizune had been making a lot of progress within a short amount of time. Mugetsu was truly happy, he now understood that it was the right choice to help her. While she did have a few flaws remaining in the usage of the jutsu they were minscule. She had already reached the correct output of chakra and force. She only needed to focus on expanding the chakra in every direction rather forcefully pushing the large mass of chakra into one area. "Equal distribution..." Mugetsu rather then saying silent found himself helping Shizune. It was supposed to be his test for her but, for some reason he could not stop himself from helping her. Such a reaction was the first time a thing had happened to Mugetsu. In fact he himself had been taught by only being shown a technique once and then repeating the process by himself. It would take days and sometimes and sometimes would be extremely pain but eventually he would get it. However Shizune had already made it much father than he had when he first made the jutsu so him giving her a vague hint would hopefully allow her to pick up on the general idea without completely explaining what to do for her.

Equal distribution, that was all she had been given to work with, but she managed to figure it out. forming the handseals again but this time, the space between her and Mugetsu increased all at once and she found herself several meters away. She jumped for joy and threw herself a little party of excitement as she had figured it out. When she finished her little joy parade, she would come back over to Mugetsu, "Thanks for your help and for letting me learn your technique! I think I know just the way to repay you, Mugetsu-nii! I'll need you to expose your neck!" If he did so, she would do around eight hand seals before placing a hand on his neck, a small black seal would form, then she would form around ten more hand seals placing another seal directly over the previous one. This one taking the form of an owl. "There, now, this technique will give you a boost to your abilities. Use it wisely Mugetsu-nii!"

Mugetsu was ecstatic that Shizune was finally able to recreat the jutsu and master it, however his face never revealed such an emotion. As expected she was a true prodigy that didnt need any help. She mastered a jutsu in a few hours that took Mugetsu days. He would help her learn any Jikukan abilities to the best of his ability if she ask. She was the type of person that the association who is clan was founded on would have been asked to partake in the making of the clan. So with such thoughts on his.mind Mugetsu would make an exception any time she wanted to learn something from him if she could handle it. "Impressive truely impressive." Mugetsu would compliment her again jutsu as she finished but what she did next was just as, if not more shocking then her mastering the jutsu in such a short time.

She had wanted to gift Mugetsu something that reqiured her to gain access to his neck. He was confused but did not ask any questions. Instead he would just so as she asked and allowed her access. But he never would have expected her to do what she did. Mugetsu felt two powerful seals become branded into his body. One of them he could not tell what the purpose or the jutsu was, however the other felt incredibly power. It was as if the second seal could be activated and bestow upon him a strong power meant to help him in combat. Mugetsu had a vague idea what the seal was but he was too shocked to thing she was capable of using such a skill at this level.

"Is... Is this a curse mark?"

Mugetsu from his father had heard what curse marks were, they provided the user with incredible strength, speed, and chakra bonuses. "You... You give such a powerful jutsu to me simply for a C-Rank jutsu technique. Furthermore how did you even learn how to do such a thing?" Mugetsu was truly lost for words. For the first time in a long time the expressions changed from nothing to several, confusion, admirations, and shock all covered his face in varying degrees. "Such a gift should not be given for a single technique. But since you have already placed the mark I can only accept. At the very least you can allow me to teach you one more technique from my arsenal." Mugetsu would wait for her response. He still needed a moment to regain his composure. Just who was Shizune and why did she possess so much latent talent?

Shizune would smile at her teammate. He didn't understand that she did this as much out of kindness to him, as she did for self preservation or to increase the power of their team. She would speak, "It is a Cursed Seal that I created based on one that I learned from... well, its probably best you don't know. But, it will not only increase your physical might, but can also increase the power of any jutsu you use while it is active as well. Though, be careful as it will drain your chakra and can only stay active for short periods at a time. The other seal, allows me to be revived should I somehow die. Until then, it does nothing and won't hinder you or draw from your chakra." She would then wait for his reaction to what she told him before speaking again, "I do not need any more techniques at the moment Nii-san, maybe another time." Offering one last smile, she would see what he said.

Mugetsu understood that she did not want anymore jutsu at this time nor would he force anymoee techniques upon her. She would come as she needed and on her own terms. But Mugetsu was still surprised that his guess was correct. He was given a curse seal that granted him power in several different areas. It was something he was going to have to mess around with later but for now he would just be thankful. He was also informed thst the ither seal had been a revival seal for Shizune. How could someone like her already be concerned with self preservation. It was fascinating to Mugetsu that everything she did helf the airs of someone much older, an expert. Mugetsu wanted to pick her brain some more. He was now willing and comfortable to as her questions but while doing so he would make sure to practice some techniques. Mugetsu for a while now had been feeling like he was close to making a break through. For what? He didnt know yet but he felt it was going to benefical to his future as long as he continued working with Jikukan Jutsu. "Shizune, lets play a game. Its called the question game. A person asks a question and the other answers. You can go first. While were playing this game I will be praticing some jutsu if you don't mind." Mugetsu would wait for her question before he started practicing. What was she going go ask him?

The seven year old girl would offer a sly grin. It was indeed an interesting idea, to get to know eachother better. There was a lot of mystery to the tall man, but that was a part of his charm. Shizune would adopt a thinking pose, obviously not caring if he practiced his jutsu. "What do you plan to do? What is your goal in your shinobi career?" It seemed to be an innocent question, but this could hold deep understanding for the kind of person someone truly was. She, herself, was one who desired peace and prosperity. She wanted to create a group of shinobi who were loyal to the village and the cause of keeping it safe. She didn't care for politics, only results, which could lead to her doing some morally ambiguous things for the sake of the village, but she would, if she had to.

Mugetsu would began forming the hand signs to his technique Room Level One jutsu as Shizune would began her questions. Around him and Shizune a dome of purple and pink chakra would began go materialize around them. In side the dome if either of them chose to move their speed would be greatly increased. Mugetsu would first began doing normal exercises within the dome.

Allowing him to preform them at greater speeds, shadow boxing, lunges, sit ups, and running in place was all done. This done of chakra held other uses but for now this was all he intended to use it for. At least until he posed a question of his own and heard the answer behind it. He was now prepared to answer Shizune's questions. "My goal is to become to become an assassin. To accomplish that goal without becoming a rogue shinobi, I desire to eventually become an Anbu Captain and work directly for the Johokage and handle all matters of espionage and assassination. My secondary goal is to become the head of my clan and return it to its glory days. My father believe's he's grooming me to follow in his foot steps and keep the secrets of our clan hidden but in fact I shall do the opposite. I want those who desire to learn about Jikuan Techniques to be able to come to the Noblord Clan and explore their options. Although outsiders wont have access to our kekkai genkai but the techniques we create can be shared and gifted. Thats why I believe our clan was gifted our kekkai genkai."

That was all Mugetsu planned to say on the matter it wasnt public knowledge that their clan's kekkai genkai was gifted but he didn't care. He felt he could trust Shizune and didnt regret saying what he did. But now it was his time to ask a question and he would continue exercise as he asked. "What is your background like? How are you at such a young age capable of using such powerful techniques." It was a fair question anyone would ask. She didnt have to get to deep into the specifics but he hoped that sharing a piece of himself would allow her to do the same. The purple and pink chakra within Mugetsu's eyes would continuously flow and this time it became stronger, more noticable, and more vibrant. His original crimson blood red eyes would began gettinf swallowed by the purple and pink energy.

Listening to his answer, it would seem the two of them weren't all that different in their goals. Both intended to serve the village in different respects, herself wanting to serve the people, and Mugetsu wanting to serve their leader and his clan. A noble goal, should both prove to be true to the people's needs as opposed to politics. He would then ask her a question about herself. "Well, my parents are wealthy. From the time I could talk, I have wanted to be a ninja. They bought be the best education they could afford, in addition to the training at the academy. Those private lessons along with what is called, 'talent of a generation', I was able to improve exponentially faster than others twice my age. I do not let it go to my head though, I want to serve the people more than anything." She said this with determination burning in her eyes. "Is that in your eyes, your kekkei genkai?" she had noticed it in a flicker, but now, much more prominently.
