Mission Grind Empty Mission Grind

Post by Makoto Thu Aug 08, 2019 1:58 pm

Makoto cracked his knuckles and spat on the ground as he walked around the Shiki. He was to be going out on a mission today. No rest for the wicked as the old saying goes. then again he wasn't the wicked type he was more ambitious than anything else. He was going to get a few missions at least a minimum of one done before the tournament was going to begin. Perhaps if he was quick enough he would be able to take place in it. h that would be a dream come true to fight in the tournament to become the Shiki’s very first leader. Oh the sheer thought made him quiver in goosebumps as he shook his head. no now was not the time for ample day dreaming it was time to get his head on straight and into the game. He was going on a rather dangerous mission after all and he could not afford to screw up.

He cleared his throat and took out the mission document and looke dit muttering to himself " alright then let me see here clearing out yet another bandit camp i see i swear these fools keep coming back for punishment. he shrugged and cracked his neck to the side and then his individual knuckles. Since he had been gone and not to mention the quite the bit of taijutsu training he was going to be rather formidable. Despite his young age he was a snake waiting in the grass to strike out a t a enemy at a moments notice. He had learned quite a few new jutsu he had a rather large arsenal to choose from to dispatch the bandits. perhaps he would just take out the bandits one at a time then move onto the boss. after all he had time to kill. This thought pleased him yet saddened him he really did not enjoy having to kill but it was his orders and he would follow them no matter the consequences of his actions may bring about with the death of the bandits.

Mission Grind Empty Re: Mission Grind

Post by Makoto Thu Aug 08, 2019 1:59 pm

It was just after nightfall when he arrived near the base. he could see the firelight's and the rowdy talk of the bandits as the sat around the campfires. He wasn't really sure on how many were there but from the large amount of noise coming from there there was definitely more than the last camp. He was going to need to be extra careful with this mission his life was in danger here and he was severely outnumbered. Oh the thrill of this challenge was enough to make his heart sing out in joy. He was sure there would be look outs situated around the camp to watch out for intruders as well as any potential prey on the road. A idea suddenly came into his mind he had multiple opponents around the campfire and he could just simply crush them with a single jutsu. But honestly there was no honor in that so he would rethink his strategy. There were about thirty bandits and two bandit leaders within the camp.

He lay low below the camp as the bandits had made there camp on the high ground. A wise and strategic move for them giving them visual advantage of any one who would come into there camp. as well as to pot incoming caravans transporting goods for them to steal. He hide along a incline rock formation and sat beneath it. This was going to take some concentration on his behalf not to mention grace. he did not wish to change the natural formation of the land if he could help it. so he would rather choose not to have to resort to his Twin Lions. But then again there was the fact that they had guards all over the place so that too was going to be a problem. He grabbed a stick and began to draw within the dirty slowly the location he was in and the surrounding bandit camp. He began to write down each jutsu he possessed and crossed out the ones that would not be rather useful in getting by the guards. He had quite a few options to choose from. It was always so hard to choose which jutsu to use he just wanted the mission to be over honestly so that he may return home and get some well earned and deserved rest.

He closed his eyes and concentrated as he listened above at the loud voices of the bandits talking around the fire. He sighed and leaned up against the wall of the cliff and remained still. He was going to end this bandit camp in one fell swoop and take everyone out in it. It was about time he was to use his clans kekkai genkai. He used his byakugan as he attacked them all using gentle fist, killing them all He smiled and knew his job was complete and returned back to the village to gather more missions to do.

Mission Grind Empty Re: Mission Grind

Post by Makoto Thu Aug 08, 2019 2:01 pm

The travel consisted of spurts of running, then when they had suspected they entered enemy territory they paused to not only go over the plan once more, but to hydrate and assure they were each properly prepared. "Good?" Everyone was set so with that Makoto stood back while the two Special Jounin headed forward until they were about fifty-meters out. Then Makoto moved, shadowing their steps sustaining the fifty-meter distance between them as planned. Though they had taken the precaution, it ultimately wasn't needed, for they found the bandit camp without encountering bandits in the forest roaming.

The sun was high in the sky, so it wasn't like they were sleeping, instead they were just loitering about, useless slobs. The two Special Jounin had started heading Makoto's way upon coming across the camp and warned him. Assigning the female of the group to stand and watch while Makoto strategized, her ears still open, he gave them the plan. A spread of kunai with explosive tags to cause disorientation and panic. Some would undoubtedly be killed in the rain of hell of course and the panic and chaos were just bonuses. They were to stick together and not spread their ranks thin and move quick to locate the bandit in charge. With him neutralized under the assumption he was the strongest, Makoto expected he could get the rest to yield. All explained verbally, his cohorts had the plan grasped and began to prepare, Makoto was already prepared so he switched roles with the girl and stood watch.

Everyone prepared, they advanced on the bandit camp unnoticed until they commenced their one-sided hazardous assault. Like a field of land mines the kunai that were tagged with explosive tags detonated killing bandits and destroying their camp. Dirt was sent everywhere and the deifying flares of flames lashing out was enough to set some of the bandit's belongs ablaze and uncounted for factor. "Watch the flames, lets move in." The camp was surrounding by dunes on all sides, so the trio slid in to carry out the last phase of the plan, locating and killing the leader. Armed with a kunai, Makoto cut down many of the vagabonds while his back was covered by his allies. "There, gathering up those items!" The bandit leader seemed to be packing for a retreat, how shameful especially for one to be the leader of such a savage like band of raiders.

The Special Jounin Kunoichi was swift with her execution of the Sticky Syrup Water Based jutsu which bound the man as the other two Special Jounin followed up with a hail of ranged weaponry slaughtering him. Also not planned, the whole camp had been exterminated rather than the leader being located and the stragglers hopefully retreating. As they approached their mark, chakra on the soles of their feet as to not be trapped in the sticky jutsu, Makoto was examining the man until he pooled into a cloud of smoke. "Good try, but I'm leagues ahead of you pieces of shit." The voice came from atop the dirt dunes and was supposedly the original bandit clan leader. His hands paced through hand seals and upon completion he spewed out immense volumes of liquid. Regardless of the unquenchable thirst the forest of Shiki had, this man quenched the thirst then drowned the forest turning his camp closed in by dirt dunes into a pool.

Makoto and his group had fought to get to the top of this deep pool with the powerful currents and surprisingly succeeded. Atop the water, chakra on their feet they were welcomed with the sight of the man reeling back for a punch aimed at the other male shinobi. Makoto retaliated with a lunge of his kunai at the man, but had his wrist caught with the arm that was prepped to punch. To the bandit leaders surprise however, his hand would phase through Makoto's wrist being a simple academy clone that had no tangibility. From behind Makoto emerged out the water and sliced diagonally across the man's spinal column killing him. "Well that was a bit more than we expected . . ." Makoto now saw what B-Rank mission were like, they were no joke and one could easily die on them. He need more training. With that the trio headed back to Shikigakure. Immensely tired upon return, but they could report in saying that the mission was complete and that was slightly satisfying.

Mission Grind Empty Re: Mission Grind

Post by Makoto Thu Aug 08, 2019 2:04 pm

The wind of Shiki lashed out at those who inhabited with its spiked leaves. Naturally Makoto closed his eyes and lowered his head slightly to avoid one of the most vulnerable parts of his body hurt. Along with him, two others bowed their heads and closed their eyes to the kings of the land of the Wind and the king were the dirt and the wind. There two others were Special Jounin not unlike Makoto who was freshly promoted to the rank and was just now going on his first mission with such a title. Where they met like most shinobi did, were the grand gates of Shikigakure. Makoto could go on and on eternally about these immaculate gates, but he'd leave that to someone else's observation for his mind was set on how mighty the commercial entrance to Shikigakure was.

With all the shinobi of the team assembled and present, simply three in number, they went over the mission details. Their objective today was to kill a clan of bandits that were lurking a few miles outside the village. Bandit clans normally roved the dirts, sometimes unaware of how close they were to Shikigakure given the fact the village was in the middle of the forest and the forest had the habit of concealing the village, thus the moniker Hidden in the Wind. Having prepared himself for the mission before embarking, Makoto and his team went on with the briefing, naturally the Special Jounin fell back and let someone else lead. "With the bandit camp being only seven miles out, we should be on the look out the whole time. That's not a lot of space from there to here and if they have set up camp out there, then I wouldn't be surprised if some of them are wandering about. Scouting, hunting, etcetera. Make sense?" The Special Jounin looked at both his teammates and Makoto and the other nodded. Next the Special Jounin squatted down needlessly brushing off a finger against the his mocha colored shinobi pants before drawing in the dirt with said finger. It was a common thing the ninja of the village did, drawing maps in the dirt given it was there for their exploitation. His body naturally positioned to shield the drawing from the wind, Makoto and the other Special Jounin moved to a position to better see what the Special Jounin was illustrating. He had swabbed his finger through the dirt to make what were the Shikigakure Walls and he made a giant circle that was inclusive with these walls, Shikigakure itself.

Makoto followed so far, next he scratched in three dots right outside the walls, their team. Sliding his finger down a ways a way, maybe five-inches, he made a large oval. "Here . . . is around where they will be. What we should do given we're all Special Jounin is distance ourselves." Makoto disagreed, but remained silent. "But stay within a fair range to still allow for reasonable response time should one of us need assistance, this splitting up happening about five miles in our journey. Yes or no?" Makoto held his tongue and the other Special Jounin nodded, no objections not even mental from her. "I don't think splitting up is best. Why not try the watcher approach? One linger back, far but still in readable range of the two out scouting. Giving the watcher the advantage and freedom to prepare prior to entering combat should it occur which it will. This way we aren't outnumbered walking out about in enemy territory alone, especially being unaware of their numbers."

The female Special Jounin's eyes widened and she nodded along to what Makoto said, him not squatted down tampering with the illustration drawing out his plan in the oval the other Special Jounin had made. He wasn't a fan of leading, but he wouldn't sit back while some random lead him and someone else to their deaths. "Hmm, seems more efficient. Only question is who will take the position of the watcher." The answer was obvious. "I'll do so while you two take the front." No objections so they headed out to make it happen.

Mission Grind Empty Re: Mission Grind

Post by Makoto Thu Aug 08, 2019 2:52 pm

Makoto now carried the rank of Special Jounin, proudly exiting out of the council's building. He'd just taken a B-rank mission, one that involved a rather large bandit infestation. What these bandits could do was unpredictable, as they surprisingly knew jutsu. This type of work was definitely a step up from the little leagues and would have a profound effect on Shikigakure, which motivated him even more to complete this mission as quickly and efficiently as possible. But, although they knew jutsu, they didn't seem all that threatening. The strongest only had B-rank jutsu, but even then, he realized that low ranking jutsu could be extremely lethal. Thus, combined with the numerous amounts of bandits, meant he needed to be careful.

He needed to practice the art of stealth, the thing that made ninja, ninja. Thus, the clothes he was currently wearing were meant to blend in with his rocky and monotone surroundings. Like always, his headband was proudly on his forehead, as he was never afraid to show his allegiance unless it would endanger the mission. On his legs, he wore joggers with sandals and short gray socks. On his torso, he wore a jacket with no hoody, with a gray shirt underneath. It was simple, but practical, which was exactly what he needed. Four holsters were on either leg, containing the ninja tools that he needed, although he most likely wouldn't have needed them due to his preference in Taijutsu.

As he headed to the bandit's hideout, he was completely aware of his surroundings. Letting his guard down would be a deadly mistake that a lot of shinobi made. However, Makoto wasn't very much like other shinobi. In his mind, that would be a bit of an insult. Perhaps it was because of his rampant paranoia that he kept his guard up, but at least the paranoia kept him alive. That made him have next to no interest in curing his paranoia. As he got closer to the bandits' hideout, a foul stench hit his nose. It wasn't human from what he could perceive, and smelled more like animals. A minute later, he found the source and was a little annoyed. He could care less about these animals, but it was just inefficient to kill these animals for no reason. The way these people brutalized them, Makoto could tell that it wasn't for training or any other similar reasons.

Mission Grind Empty Re: Mission Grind

Post by Makoto Thu Aug 08, 2019 2:53 pm

But, he didn't need to dwell on these deaths for so long. This was a savage world, and people died everyday. This wasn't very special. Plus, if he was some animal lover that sat around moping about these deaths, then he would never punish these thugs under the laws of Shikigakure. Since he was thinking about these bandits, it led to the question about how they acquired these jutsu in the first place. The most likely option was that they were missing ninja who'd banned together, but, other more obscure and unlikely options popped up in his head that would need more evidence to prove.

Approximately five minutes later, he came across the bandit camp. Then, he gave a quick, but thorough analysis of the site. Compared to him, the camp was much lower then he was, being thirty meters downwards. Makoto predicted that he would be able to scale down the mountain by use his wall walking technique. On the plus side, he wouldn't be seen, and from the mission intel he acquired, no sensors were at this base either. Thus, it seemed it would be simple as long as he didn't make any foolish mistakes. In, and out. The base didn't seem very well guarded either, with the bandits just too spread out. It showed that these were low ranking shinobi, without the slightest sense of tactics. They probably left the village extremely early in there short careers as Shinobi. As Makoto knew, not everything was learned in the academy. In the field, you learned to refine tactics and sharpen your sense...or, well, you died.

Makoto began his descent towards the base, utilizing the tree walking jutsu to stick to the mountain's surface, carefully, but quickly. Some of the surface was a bit uneven, so he always had to be careful for that. And, on the off chance that they managed to spot him, Makoto knew that he would have to watch out. That's why his guard was even higher then usual, as they would most likely try to use some projectile to knock him off the wall and kill him. Ten minutes later, he was finished with his little climbing exercise. Like the black plague, he killed these bandits quickly and efficiently, using his stealth skills to avoid being caught. In just two minutes, a group of twenty fell to zero, and as he wiped the blood of the last one off of his kunai, a slight smile crept on his face. This wasn't him enjoying the bloodshed, but rather, happy that he served Shikigakure well. Finished with cleaning his blades so that they wouldn't rust, he leave the battlefield, making his way back up to Shikigakure.

Mission Grind Empty Re: Mission Grind

Post by Makoto Thu Aug 08, 2019 2:56 pm

It would seem as Makoto would be called out for yet another small mission. This time it would be to clear some bandits from the outskirts of the village. He had been hearing rumors that these bandits were robbing and killing merchants or anyone really who looked like they had any kind of valuable on them. This was something Makoto and the village could no longer turn a blind eye too. He had also been informed that a few of these bandits had been apart of a low ranking clan before the creation of the villages. Makoto could only feel shame and disgust to think that a clan no matter how low they once were could result In doing something so low brow. Since Makoto was a current leader of a clan and knee that even smaller clans need to ad here to. He knew this was wrong in many ways and he could no longer allow this to happen. Makoto will make them atone for there mistake with there lives. Perhaps they will understand there wrong doing in the afterlife or perhaps they will be able to a tone while in the after life as well.

It was another nice day in Shiki. The sun sat high in the sky with little to no clouds in the sky. Makoto would be seen leaving through the village gates with his normal traveling attire on which consisted of a black shirt with his clans symbol printed on the front of the shirt. With some his black jacket, black pants, and his black scandals.

It didn't take Makoto long to get to the bandits camp. It was merely a few minutes outside the village. Makoto found it odd that it was so close to the village. But when he thought more about he really didn't care less. Makoto looked around there camp it was a total of ten of them. Makoto let out a small sigh as he realize this wouldn't be a challenge to him at all.

With no real effort he leaped down into the camp. He landed in the center of the camp. Something he wasn't really trying to do but it was a little to late to change it now as the banditturned to look and see this figure standing in the center of there camp. Makoto grinned evilly under his mask. " Which one of you would like to die first". Makoto stated in a demonic tone. With his outfit and his voice to took the bandits for a loop. They were slightly in fear. Makoto wasted no time bashing the closest bandit Skull in with little effort. Before moving to next bandit with a quick kick to the rib cage shattering them in an instant. As loud agonizing pain could be heard through out the camp. As Makoto quickly and effortlessly took out the bandits in a rapid pace. Still grinning evilly as he did. As he grimmed down the ten into now just one.

He had just killed the last bandit by cracking his skull with his bare fist. As his gaze was now fixated on the remaining one. " How do you think I should kill you?" Makoto asked as his tone was dark and cold with no emotion at all. The bandit looked on in horror as he looked at his fellow bandits lifeless bodies. It almost seem like he was frozen in fear as Makoto slowly started walking towards him. " Should I start off by breaking both your legs.. Then your arms?" Makoto asked once again drawing closer to the bandit as he spoke. The bandit quickly pulled a knife out his back pocket and threw it at Makoto. Makoto merely tilting his head to the side as it flew right by him. This making the bandit even more fearful. As he turned to run but was stopped in his tracks before he could even move a foot from his previous location. He slowly looked down to see why he could not move and noticed a hand coming out of his gut. "Wrong answer". Was the last thing he heard before his head came flying off his body. Makoto slowly removed his hand from the mans body. He looked at the carnage he had done. The evil grin remained on his face " So this is all they had to offer me.. I wanted more of a fight and all I got was this" he thought to himself As he once again took a look around the camp. He started to wonder who he would send to clean up this mess because he knew it wouldn't be him. Perhaps he would send a member of the lower branch of the family to come clean up his mess. The dismember body of the bandits were laying every wear an arm here a leg there. Makoto started to think maybe he had to much fun here. As he turned to return to the village.

Mission Grind Empty Re: Mission Grind

Post by Makoto Thu Aug 08, 2019 2:57 pm

This was it he was done for this day for completing missions. 6 in one day was more than enough for him at the moment. He sighed and rested his head against some tall grass and took his time. The sun was just beginning to set today form his long list of missions and he was going to take out the final mission with the cover of night. He sighed and cracked his toes as he watched the sun set on the hillside. Over in the distance he could see once again another bandit camp had emerged from the previous location. it seems that the men had blown up his trees he had created. He was going to make them pay very dearly for that transgression. he growled and tapped his foot impatiently as he waited for the sun to set upon this horizon. Tonight more blood would be spilled and revenge for the forest will happen.

He had a choice of using a assortment of his lower ranked justsu to use against the bandits or just use his S rank jutsus and wipe them all out with a single blow. He lay low below the camp as the bandits had made there camp on the high ground. A wise and strategic move for them giving them visual advantage of any one who would come into there camp. as well as to pot incoming caravans transporting goods for them to steal. He hide along a incline rock formation and sat beneath it. This was going to take some concentration on his behalf not to mention grace. he did not wish to change the natural formation of the land if he could help it. so he would rather choose not to have to resort to his eight branches technique.

He let out a sigh and would slowly get up and stretch out his arms and legs. Well he wasn't going to be getting and work done here sitting on his ass. He slowly began to walk up the path leading to the bandits camp not bothering to camouflage himself. He was going to end this with one as few jutsu as possible. He approached the front entrance and was stopped by two guards as they crossed and then aimed their spears at him. He sighed and held his hands up. "Now now Gentlemen lets be civil i come on behalf of the leaf village with a gift." The men looked puzzled and asked, "what sort of gift." he smiled and balled up his fists and thrust them into both men's hearts just before impact though his hands darkened using his 2nd gate and sent them flying crushing their ribs and muscles along there chest cavity. "Why quite simple i bring the gift of peace!"

Soon the entire camp was swallowed up by death and he sighed and wiped off his forehead. " well that was easier than expected i think i deserve a little treat for my hard work. He smiled and pulled out a candy bar from his pocket and tore it open and bite into it happily as he looked at the swamp he had created. air bubbles still came to the surface but were quickly dying off. the men would drown, and the bodies never be found again beneath the swamp. He dissipated the jutsu and would return home his mission a success. Although the deaths were waring on him, he was happy to serve his village.
