Mission 1:

It happened while Homura was barely aware, when she was barely concerned. She started her day as usual, she got up, cleaned herself, then placed on some usual clothes. Her jacket was blue and white this time, with the familiar Uchiha symbol on her back. She didn’t expect anything out of the ordinary would happen today. After all, today was her day off. What she wanted was to relax, and also to spend a few minutes shopping. There was this new video game that she wanted to play, but had been too busy with shinobi activities to get. The store which she normally buys her games from was always sold-out whenever she found the time to go to it. This time, however, Homura could stand in front of the store and wait for them to open, then get her game before anyone else bought it. It was a strategy she used during her days in the academy, though with a bit less extreme method. Before, she would camp out at night and wait until the early morning to get the game that she wanted, but now she didn’t need to. She was fast enough to wake up early and get to the store on time, which was what she did.

She secured her video game without any difficulties. The cashier was quick with checking her out. There was an exaggeration of happiness on her face when the transaction went through. She was excited. She wanted to go home and play her game immediately. Every once in awhile she would lift the game to her nose so that she could get that new-game smell. She loved it the most.

While she was walking down the bustling street of Johogakure it happened. She wasn’t even aware that it happened. The news came to her on the big screen on one of the buildings that played videos. News coverage of the Kage’s palace on fire reached her eyes, and big bold letters on the front of the screen told her all that she needed to know.

”Well,” Homura found herself saying. ”So much for you being the shining hope of the people.” As Homura said this, she found herself taken aback again. As she decided to turn her head from the screen revealing the Kage’s death, she turned her head towards the sight of further destruction. A building that stood a few meters away from her had exploded, it’s destructive boom ringing heavily in Homura’s ear. The Uchiha watched as large debris from the structure started to fall. In front of her were people who were as stunned as she was. Some moved to get out of the way, but there were a few who were glued to the ground and too scared to move.

”Get out of the way!” The work of a shinobi was never over for Homura. She immediately bound for the people, her sharigan awakened at full fury as she tried to save as many citizens as she could. She didn’t think much as she acted, but grabbed as many as she could. Her hands found themselves snatching people’s clothing and flinging them far away so that they wouldn’t be squashed. For the last two, she personally escorted them out of danger, for they were just mother and child, two people which she could carry.

Her mind was a mix of emotions when the debris finally fell, cracking the ground with a thunderous roar. However, she couldn’t let herself show those emotions, for far off in the distance she heard more explosions. All around Johogakure, the same thing was happening, and all she could hear afterward was the noise of humans screaming, and possibly suffering.

”This can’t be happening...” As Homura tried to calm herself, she felt a faint tug on her shoulder. She looked to see who pulled her and was surprised to see a little child. That child was the same one she had just saved.

“Are you a shinobi?” the boy asked in his somewhat broken Japanese.

Homura was slow to answer. ”Yes, I am,” she said, confirming with an astounding nod.

“Please save us,” the boy released. “Help us…”

There wasn’t anything more that Homura needed to hear. She lightly patted the bot on the head and said, ”Don’t worry, this is what I’m here for...” She gave him a smile and he smiled back. ”Now, go back to your mom and get to safety. I don’t want to see you in danger again, okay?” The boy nodded and scurried away. As he ran off, Homura looked past him to the sight of the people she saved, and the people around them, clapping their hands at Homura. Some of them were obviously appreciative of what she did. Others were impressed with what she did. ”And that goes for all of you,” she said out loud. ”Get out of here and move to someplace safe. Let the Johogakure shinobi deal with this!”

Suffering. More sounds of it came off from a distance. She looked towards its direction and gave a large huff. There was something more that she could do here, so she wasn’t going to leave the scene yet. She turned her head up to the burning building. There were probably people in there that were still alive. Maybe they were trapped in the rubble or unable to escape. She would move to save them first.

”Alright Homura,” she said to herself. ”Time to help some people! Hopefully, I won't die from this... I wonder what Tenri would say. Probably wouldn't be anything good so... Definitely no dying.”

Mission:

Homura hopped into the air and landed on the burning building. She used her chakra to attach herself onto it like glue. Immediately she began running up the structure, making note not to stand in the way of any falling debris. If she saw any, she would immediately dodge left or right to avoid them. She made her way up the structure easily and found an opening for her to enter. As soon as she got inside she was bombarded with the foul stench of burning that she hated the most, which was saying a lot coming from her. Years of perfecting fire techniques made her able to stay inside and breathe effectively, but she didn’t have long before the suffocating stench of gas clogged her throat and killed her. She needed to move quick to get through the building.

The first room she entered was an office room. Parts of the desks miraculously still remained somewhat intact from the explosions. However, there was a large hole in the floor where a part of the room should’ve been. Homura stepped over that hole to look through it, and noticed the sheer travesty that was held beyond. Piles and piles of human remains stacked on the ground, many of which were ripped apart into pieces from the violent fall. Homura could hardly tell if she were looking at people anymore. They were all dead, she didn’t need training in medical ninjutsu to tell her that.

There was something about seeing the dead and knowing that these were once people of Johogakure that made Homura both angry and sad. A rush of hatred coursed through her, and she balled her fist to control the vehement rage which circled through her. She could not lose herself in her rage, she could not let her anger win over her. She was smarter than this. She took a moment to calm herself, then ran throughout the entire building, looking for any possible survivors.

Thankfully, not everyone died from the explosion. There were a few that were trapped under debris bust still living. Others were cut off from the exits, making it impossible for them to escape. Homura managed to help them as much as she could. She freed the people from their predicaments and led them to the building escapes. As she was helping the survivors, she suddenly ran into someone that attempted to stop her dead in her tracks.

“Those people are to die.” A figure in a black cloak with a faceless mask covering his identity stood in front of Homura and the escape doors. Behind her, she had several workers who she had helped. Upon his appearance, she immediately stood between the figure and the people and opened her arms wide as if to tell both not to pass her.

”You already have enough dead,” she said to the mysterious person. ”Let them go, you don’t need them to send whatever fucked-up message you have.” It was frustrating for Homura to have to resort to negotiations to protect the people. Usually she would burn everything in her sight and call it a day; however, matters such as civilian protection required a delicate touch.

“None are ever enough to send the message,” Homura heard the figure say. “We must kill as much as we have to until the people are changed. Until society as a whole has been shaped into a world for the people, we will not stop killing.”

Well, so much for that. Behind Homura, the fire was uncontrollably getting close to everyone, threatening to engulf and burn them all. In front of Homura, a mysterious lunatic was spouting nonesense and threatening to murder everyone. Homura wasn’t left with much of a choice.

”I really hoped that this could be easier.” Homura dug into her pocket and tossed her kunai at the figure. The figure ducked out of the way. Homura could hear the chuckle from him. The overconfidence exuded enough for her to know just what he thought of himself. She dealt with so many people that thought so much of her before, so this was nothing different. The figure thought that one miss was enough to inform him of Homura’s capabilities. Yet, what he didn’t realize was that this was just a diversion. When he dodged, Homura hurried forward at an impressive speed. The man barely had a chance to react before a punch was sent flying directly at his face. Her fist crashed against his mask, making an audible crunch as the object started to crack. The man was sent flying several meters back from the impact, and he would’ve fallen over a railing and onto the ground had it not been for his quick reflexes.

”Oh, you’re pretty tough for a lackey,” Homura said afterward. She flicked her hand a little to fight away the pain of the punch. The man’s face was harder than she expected, but hitting it got the job that she wanted to do done. The man was now back and away from the exit, meaning that the people can escape.

”Go! Go now!” Homura ushered the people to leave. They obliged willingly and immediately began to run for their lives away from the fight. Homura had did her job well.

“Kekeke.” Just as she was getting ready to pat herself on the back for saving the civilians, she heard the man she just punched begin to cackle.

”I must say, this is the first time I had a man enjoy my punch so much that he laughed. It’s kind of creepy,” she bantered.

“I’m laughing at your ignorance, mostly.” The figure dusted himself off and continued to cackle.
”I really don’t want to hear that from a cultist like you,” Homura said.

“You think that I am the only one here, and that no one else is waiting to intercept the survivors. The truth of the matter is, we are everywhere. We are the shadows that encompass the night, the eyes that rest in the hills and the ears that form the walls. You cannot escape us, for we are inevitable.”

Mission::

”Nope. I try to understand you, but the more you speak the more it sounds like nonsense.”

“That is because you are a fool that engorges yourself with the mass. Never truly looking. Never truly seeing. That is alright, though. We will guide you to the light. We will illuminate your eyes so that you can finally start to see. But first, we must kill them. They are a worthy sacrifice for our goals, thus it is okay for them to die.”

Homura scrunched her brows at this man. Simple enough, he was a conspiracy theorist that collected himself into a cult. This cult thought that they were doing the right thing by killing possibly thousands of people. Homura almost wanted to ask for what purpose, but she didn’t want to. She didn’t want to hear anything he had to say.

”Oh yeah? Well-” Before Homura could make another quip, noise reached her ears. It was the sound of more suffering, this time from voices that she knew very well. Homura widened her eyes with shock. The cackling continued.

“They are dead,” the figure said. “Another has been sacrificed so that the world can be free. May their souls forever rest in peace.

Once more, Homura felt that rage circulate through her. She glared at the figure with disgust and rage, but she didn’t attack. Instead, she raced after the civilians she had attempted to save. She ran into the fire escape, jumped down a few flights of stairs, and kicked her way through a door. She wanted desperately for them to be alive. She didn’t know what she’d do if they weren’t. Her heart was beating a mile a minute, and a cold sweat started to drip on her forehead. When she made it to the end of the exit, what she saw devastated her.

The people that she had worked hard to save were all cut down. Treated like lambs to a slaughter, they had been cut one after the other by death-bringing weapons. Was so shocked that she fell to her knees. Standing above what were now dead carcasses were two human beings. They had katanas in their hands that were bloodied. They both wore black cloaks and a faceless mask like the individual from before. That figure had made their way down with Homura, and when he saw the same sight she did, his cackle only increased more in interval.

“As I said,” she heard the disgusting bellow from the figure behind her say. “We are inevitable.”

Something within Homura snapped in that moment. She had been struggling to keep herself together, to keep the hurt from her eyes and to keep her mind from being lost. However, at this sight of pure brutality and murder, she just couldn’t control herself any longer. Her sharingan glowed a deeper glimmer of red than it had ever before, and her eyes revealed a catastrophic rage.

”So am I.” Homura grabbed another kunai and attempted to stab one of the men with the swords. He blocked the attack with his sword, but that didn’t stop her. She was a flurry of complete fury, bounding after the man with relentless attacks. One of the other men had to join in, the other one holding a katana. Homura dealt with that one too. It was clear that she wasn’t holding back against these people. Her strikes with her kunai were fast, swift, and precise. She stabbed one of the men in the hand, preventing him from being able to hold their sword. When the other one tried to come in to intercept, Homura cut at his leg. The kunai was such a small weapon, but her use of it made it seem as though it had grown into the full size of a sword. The men tried to keep up against her the best way they could, but no one could match Homura’s skill, along with her unbridled fury. She caught one man by the throat, cutting into him so deep that he started to choke on his own blood. For the other she stabbed her kunai so far into his mask that it went through his face and towards his brain, dealing internal damage to him. They both went down within a matter of minutes of the fight, leaving Homura to stand over them as the victor.

The last one remaining, the one that Homura had previously punched, witnessed the onslaught of the Uchiha’s fury. He was scared. His legs wobbled as his feet remained planted on the ground. He probably had never seen anyone able to do what she did. It became aware to him quickly that he could not take her on alone.

Homura glared at the man, the clear murderous intent bouncing off of her like a wave of oppressive heat. She stepped one foot towards him and he immediately bucked in fear. ”What was that you said?” Homura asked as she slowly stalked the man like a predatory hungry for his soul. ”You are inevitable, right? But, I just killed two of you. I guess… I guess that makes me undeniable.”

She surged forward with all of her speed. The man had only a single chance to squeak before her blade with through his neck. He fell immediately when his entire head separated itself from his body. The terrorists who had caused the explosion were now dead.

Homura didn’t know what to think. At this point, she only moved her limbs to where she needed it. She couldn’t muster the courage to remember the sight of the humans she was sworn to protect massacred at her feet, their blood splattered across the floor, and their faces contorted into that of suffering, terror and despair. She didn’t even want to look at the sight, for its reminder brought her an ache that no medical ninjutsu could heal. ”Please tell me that this is the last of it,” Homura said as she walked out of the building alone.

Mission:

When she came out, she witnessed more destruction, more devastating aftermaths, and more death. It was damaging to her. Yet again she tried to keep herself together, and yet again she found a cold gloomy darkness seek to take over her. Her red orbs glanced up at the screen she had seen before, the one that spoke of the Kage’s death from an explosion. Now, something else was on it.

A silver-haired woman displayed on the screen. She had a detonator in her hand and a look  of pride and accomplishment on her face. She spoke out to the mass, but the sound of painful cries and frightful screams drowned her out. Luckily for Homura, her sharingan allowed her to read the lips of the woman.

“Citizens of Johogakure,” she started, “we the ‘Liberators’ have killed your oppressor, the Johokage, and all those that worked immediately under him. Accept the change in power of this village. Resist against our power and you will be dealt with the same way as your tyrant ruler.”

That speech seemed well practice to Homura, as if the woman had prepared for this. If it wasn’t her village that was being attacked, Homura would almost feel impressed by her. After all, killing Rei Kaguya wasn’t an easy feat. Still, the woman had crossed a line, and now Homura knew exactly who she was going to target.

As the young shinobi prepped to make her way towards whatever direction that woman was, Homura felt the slight vibration that came from her pocket. It was her phone. Immediately pulling it out, she saw a slew of texts appear one after the other on her screen. Her mother had been texting her like crazy, trying to see where she was. Each message after the first seemed more frantic than the last. Homura needed to respond.

’I’m fine,’ she wrote in her text. ’I ran into a few of these “Liberators” on my way home, but I’m safe. Where’s dad?’
There was an immediate response back. ‘Your father is at the hospital with me. We’re working to help the influx of patients. He wants you here ASAP.’

’On my way.’ The phone was put up. Homura glanced around the destruction one last time and huffed. She knew that she would never forget this sight. It would be ingrained in her memory for as long as she lived. She would always remember the suffering these people caused.

She didn’t want to keep her mother and father waiting, so she exited the scene. The other shinobi would handle the rest. Saving and rescuing was never her greatest attribute. Instead, she would focus on killing and avenging. But first, she needed to meet her family. She raced through the village until she got to the medical center her mother described. She saw the influx of patients with her own eyes. Several sections of the hospital were set up just to house individuals who had their bodies partly blown up, shrapnels caught in their skin, and many other horrifying injuries. There were men, women, and children all groaning in what Homura could only assume was unbelievable pain. Her mother was at the center of it all, working with the nurses to bandage the wounded.

She strolled past those who were sickly to speak with her mother, ignoring them for now. ”Mom,” she called out. ”Where is dad?”

Homura’s mother was always amazing. She could take control of any situation and never lose focus. Even as she spoke with Homura, she still maintained a calm exterior as she ordered around the nurses and telling them what to do. “He’s in the back talking defence with some other shinobi.”

Homura nodded to her mother and turned to leave. But, before she went, her mother grabbed her arm tightly. “Homura,” she called to her. This was the first time Homura had ever heard her mother’s voice sound so serious. There was a gleam in her mom’s eyes that made Homura sink back to that of a child. “Be safe,” her mother said.

Homura could only give a firm nod. She placed a hand over her mothers, and a look of determination met her mom’s look of worry. ”I will,” she said. ”I will...”

Her father was where her mother said he would be. Ryuunosuke Uchiha stood towards the back of the hospital, conversing with three other shinobi about possible battle plans. With the terrorists running all around the city, he would need to make proper defenses in this hospital to protect the sick. Homura came upon her father making those such plans.

”Dad...” Homura said very timidly. ”Hey dad...”

Ryuunosuke turned his eyes to her and Homura could see the look of relief overtake him. “Homura,” her father called her name, mixing a pinch of love in his voice’s volume to make it evermore tender. “You’re here, wonderful.” He paused a bit as he saw the dirt and blood that covered parts of her clothing. “Are you injured?”

”No,” Homura answered, ”I ran into a few of the enemies and had to fight them. This blood is mostly theirs.”

Ryuunosuke’s chest convulsed just a bit, a sign that he had just sighed heavily. “Those damn terrorists,” Homura heard her father say. “Making a mess out of everything. Following some nonsensical ideology and playing with the lives of people like they’re trash!” Ryuunosuke paused for a moment. “I need your help with something, Homura. More people are coming in from the destruction. Many of them are injured. I need you to help protect this hospital against anything that tries to attack it.”
Ryuunosuke didn’t need much from her father to get a nod from her.

“Good,” he said, “Now, go change into your shinobi clothes. They should be in room 523. Once you’re prepared, come back to me. We’re going to go over our battle plans together.

Once more, Homura gave a nod to her father and walked off to him without saying a word. She knew that she couldn’t say no to Ryuunosuke, even if she wanted to. He was the commander of her at this moment. She would fall in line with the rest of the shinobi under him. Besides, if she didn’t help her father, there was a chance that he and her mother could experience an attack, and she wasn’t going to let them get murdered by those cultists. She would burn the entire heavens before she allowed that.

Mission:

Ryuunosuke Uchiha was a pretty wise leader. He knew that Homura’s capabilities were incredibly advanced. After all, he had raised her. He ordered her to use her shadow clones to keep a lookout on top of the roof of the hospital. If one of the clones saw anything, they would disperse immediately and relay information back to Homura. Her Sharingan eyes made this more effective, as she could see the minute details of everything that made its way towards her, making her the perfect lookout.

While Homura’s clones watched the hospital from the sky, Ryuunosuke went to work protecting the hospital from the surface. He ordered multiple shinobi guard the entrances and exits, as well as aid in healing the people. The more shinobi units he had working with the people, the more likely a massacre could be prevented. Homura remained with her mother mostly, helping her as much as she could. Homura never learned how to be a medical kunoichi, she hated the thought of studying medicine, but her mom did teach her a bit about herbs since she ran a flower shop. Sometimes, Homura would run the flower shop in her mother’s stead, so she got used to chopping up plants for medicinal purposes.

The hours passed without a single disturbance, but this didn’t last any longer. Somewhere down the day, one of Homura’s clones spotted a few figures out in the distant bustles of buildings. The clones didn’t expect anything at first, but when the shadowy figure revealed itself, and the familiar white faceless mask showed, The clone knew immediately what was coming towards them. Without saying a word, it dispersed, and everything it saw and remembered was implanted in Homura’s memory. She was aware of the approaching threat.

”Dad, we got a problem!”

Ryunosuke immediately ordered the shinobi that were weaker to remain and protect the wounded. Those that were strong were instructed to move with him in order to intercept the figures. Homura was among the group that Ryuunosuke made follow him. Ryuunosuke’s group totalled only six shinobi. The figures totaled seventeen. Ryuunosuke’s team was heavily outnumbered.
When the teams finally met, there was an obvious standstill. They stood in the middle of a large field that rested in front of the hospital. There was a good bit of land for a battle, though Ryuunosuke wanted as small amount of damage done to the area as possible. In fact, with the risk of the sickly getting caught in the battle, Ryuunosuke did not want a fight at all.

“Why don’t you all turn back from here,” Homura’s dad said to the figures. “These are wounded and sickly people. You gain nothing from attacking them.”

“All lambs serve a purpose for the greater good,” one figure among the group said. “It has been determined that these sheep will be the first message we send to Johogakure. Many people have decided to raise their arms against us. They are unaware of the mayhem we can inflict. Destroying this hospital will make them understand our capabilities.”

“They’re no longer able to fight back!” Ryuunosuke shouted. “You’ll just be hurting the sickly! For all you know, this could have the opposite effect!”

“A chance we are willing to take,” another figure said. “There are more ways in which we can silence the lambs. This is merely an option that we have decided to take.”

”Every single one of you are just as sick as the last, aren’t you?” Homura spoke up. She had remained behind a bit to let her father do the talking, but it seemed that they weren’t willing to listen to his words.

The figures only chuckled at her. “We do what we must to-”

”Yeah, yeah, I know. You wanna change society or whatever!” Homura cut one of them off.

Ryuunoskue interjected, “Whatever you want to do, you can’t do it here. This place is protected. If anyone tries to harm those people, they’ll be killed first.”

One of the figures said, “If it is a fight that must happen, then so be it.” And thus a fight did begin.

The figures broke off from each other and targeted the six with heavy calculation. Homura at least had two of the cloaked terrorists trying to kill her. Their skills were very sub-par for her, however. After having trained her sharingan, she was able to move at blinding speeds to counter any of their strikes. However, she couldn’t deal any damage to them. A third cloak figure remained behind, attacking her from a distance. Every time she would try to cut down her opponent, a ball of intense heat would come out of nowhere in an attempt to hit her, which would prompt her to dodge more than strike.

”Can’t you guys ever fight fair?” Homura found herself saying.

“You knew what you were getting into before this fight started! If you want to complain then just accept your sacrifice and surrender!”
But Homura would never surrender. People who were important to her had to rely on her to protect them. She would not fail them.

Thinking quickly on her feet, Homura decided to deal with the one attacking her from afar first. She lifted her feet one after the other, increasing her speed to its maximum just so she could get to him faster. The other figures tried to stop her, launching exploding kunais at her, or various different nature techniques to slow her down, but she wouldn’t allow herself to stop.

When she made it to the cloaked figure, it was almost like he was prepared for her. He performed some handsigns then slammed the ground. The surface quickly became a mixture of mud and some sticky-looking liquid. Homura avoided all of that completely by leaping high into the air. She held out her hand and forced chakra to form at her fingertips. She controlled the chakra, shaping it into a giant swirling ball. She landed on top of the cloaked figure hand first, sending the ball crashing against his person, causing him to be buried into the ground.

Mission:

”Rasengan!” she roared to the top of her lungs.

“What was that?” she heard one figure ask. “Don’t get close to her! She’s dangerous!” another said. Homura wasn’t allowed to rest for a second before more of them came out of nowhere and started targeting her.

”What the?” she said as she noticed two more figures suddenly attacked her with a series of shurikens and kunais. She struggled just to dodge it all before more started coming after her. ”Where the heck did you all come from?” she looked around the battlefield and saw the carnage immediately. Three of the shinobi that Ryuunosuke had invited were lying on the ground. Their bodies had been mutilated beyond the point of living. They laid there in a bloody mess. Off in the distance, Ryuunosuke was busy trying to keep up with seven of the individuals who suddenly started encircling him.

”Dad!” Homura wanted to run to him, but he was too far away, and she had a few of her problems to deal with on her own. Three figures came after her with swords, morningstars, and claws. They wanted to catch her at the same time and overwhelm her, but Homura wouldn’t allow it. She stayed quick on her feet and forced combat with each individual, keeping some of them away so that she couldn’t be ganged on. Pretty soon, however, she realized that hand-to-hand combat wouldn’t be enough to help her. She would have to use a jutsu.

”You guys are going to regret ever coming here!” Homura said. Since the beginning of this fight, she had been trying to avoid using her techniques. Every single jutsu she had was destructive. It could be enough to burn an entire half of Johogakure. Of course, there was no way she could use her jutsu within city limits. Sadly, that’s exactly what she needed to do now.

”Fire Release: Great Fire Annihilation!” she started with the great fire annihilation. It was the less destructive, yet still strong technique for Homura. The flames spewed from her mouth and opened immediately, stretching out like a sea of fire. She made sure to aim for every figure within her immediate vicinity. The fire was just too large for the figures to avoid. They were engulfed by the fire and burned alive.

Homura had taken care of her enemies, but the battle wasn’t at all over with. Ryuunosuke had been severely outnumbered. Even as she stared at him now, he had taken a tremendous amount of damage as more and more figures piled onto him and tried to kill him. She needed to act quickly before more damage could be done to her father.

”Dad!” Homura screamed as she made her way towards her father. However, before she could get there in time, Ryuunosuke was stabbed in the back by one of the enemies. ”DAD!”

Homura raced faster after her father. The figures allowed her to get past them. She immediately moved to catch his side before he collapsed on the ground. ”Dad...” Hot tears covered Homura’s face as she tried to save him. She struggled to remember what her mother did to aid in the wounded in the hospital. She tried to do something basic like stopping the bleeding, but Ryuunosuke bled too much. That didn’t stop her, however, as she desperately tried to keep him alive.

In some depressing way, Ryuunosuke knew that Homura couldn’t save him. It seemed that he was okay with that. He moved a hand up to gently grab at her wet cheeks. He smiled at her. His smile was bright and beautiful, the same type of smile he gave when Homura did something to make him laugh. He looked up at her with pride that Homura never knew he could have for her, then he said with a groggy voice to her, “I love you.”

That was it for Ryuunosuke Uchiha. The man laid his head into the dirt. He closed his eyes and surrendered to death. Despite the brutal way he died, he almost looked peaceful.

“This is what happens when you fight for this society.” The voice of one of the figures cut through the silence. “Had he just accepted the new way, he would’ve never experienced this type of fate.”

The tears on Homura’s cheeks were hot. But, suddenly, they turned hotter. There was a flicker of chakra that formed on her person as the ground around her began to quake. ”You people do whatever the hell you want, thinking that it’s for some grand purpose,” Homura said through a breath that shook from the weight of her emotions. ”And you take away the lives of families… The lives of humans!” The chakra flickered stronger at her presence, forming a red aura around her. Suddenly, that aura started to take shape, and skeletal structures began to form as an armor for Homura and Ryuunosuke. First the spine wrapped itself like a warm blanket over them, then red arms started to shape themselves. Finally, a red skull formed like a face as the structure of a devastatingly large chakra construct revealed itself. ”I’m going to make you all pay!” Homura roared. The red demon roared along with her, sending a wave of sound so powerful that it shattered many of the figure’s ears, along with the glass from several buildings away from them.

”I’m going to kill you all!” The construct shot its arms out after the figures, grabbing two at a time and flinging them into the ground. Some of them were flung into other cloaked figures. They all tried to escape from construct, but its reach was too long. It obliterated all of the ones that it could grab onto. Some tried to deal damage to the construct, hoping that they could destroy it before it killed them, but its coat was too strong. It coldly murdered every enemy that it stood against until there was none left.

[Homura Uchiha]

When the battle had ended and there was no one else to fight, the structure slowly faded away until it completely vanished. Only Homura was left alive. She hovered over the body of her father, not realizing that had just happened, that she was the one that was responsible for the death of the figures, or that her watery tears had suddenly turned to tears of blood. She remained that way for a while, only realizing later that, through her suffering, she had just unlocked one of the most powerful powers in Uchiha history, the Mangekyou Sharingan.
