Description:

Beyond the Dark Forest and its spiraling maze of trees seems to lie a tall cliffside that is considered sacred. Scaling it presents a challenge since it is guarded by dangerous wildlife that has become influenced by a strange essence of natural energy. If not that, there is also the vigilant ears of the USagi Clan and the rabbits that live alongside with them that often still lurk around the forest’s structured walls. The walls of the cliffs shift as if to prohibit and cause difficulty for anyone to climb any further. This is because this enclosure serves as a fortress and protects what is Rabitto no tani.

Rabitto no tani (Rabbit’s Valley), is the home of the Usagi Clan summons. The clan of rabbits rest in the alley where a number of burrows and holes are made within the cliff sides and rising of hills. The openings are nothing that are comparable to that of an ordinary rabbit. They are larger and much more cleverly made as the clan of rabbits had made accommodations for the Usagi Clan. The side of the walls in these openings seem to have sculpted stone that can be like benches, and some clay even seem to be similar to tables that served many purposes. The history of the Usagi Clan is stained and carved into these cliffs due to these places served as where children were birthed, would play, and be watched by their mothers and the rabbits that would call the family.

The Gem Bunnies, even small (a foot and a half  in height and no more than a foot in width), are primary summons of the Usagi Clan that are almost synonymous to the clan of matriarchs and young women across the ages. The Usagi Clan, because of their traits, have said to represent them in every way: hardened, swift, and just as snide and cunning. Answering to the elder and the clan’s matriarchs and mothers, they are a small group of rabbits that act like the children counterparts of the Usagi Clan due to their young age and just how much time they spend around the younger ones who summon them to aid them in skirmishes or some of the casual needs of the clan when it comes to construction or other things of importance.

Their appearances are reflective of the Sage and their exposure to Senjutsu Chakra. Due to this, their bodies are hardened in some places, almost like bristles mixed in with cotton soft fur. It is especially hard around parts where the jewel-like stone is upon their body, perfectly centered in place. This is where most of their chakra is stored as Doton has sealed it into place, making it almost a core for their chakra. When damaged, it seems repairable when they retreated back to their home, Rabbit’s Ravine (Usagi no keikoku) to gather more natural energy. The stone stone on their body seems to represent their health.

The Gem Bunnies consist of five sisters, and true to the clan’s nature and assortment of names, they are named after sweet foods and treats which the Usagi as a whole (summons and clan humans) have developed a taste for. The Gem Bunnies have no vast differences in their ability as they are all the same but vary by their names and personalities, and usually are partnered with a certain clan member. Not only that, but the five seem to be numerous, allowing them to appear and help in abundance of the clan members as they are apart of their fighting style. However, there is one major difference, that being the clan’s rabbits seem to have a variation of ability depending on the number that appear.

One Gem  Bunny is enough to act on behalf of the Usagi Clan’s intentions and needs. The use of their natural chakra allows them to make use of the land in order to use a plethora of Earth-based techniques that involve the manipulation of the land. A single gem bunny works in order to move underground and use techniques to create openings that would aid in dragging individuals into the terrain to subdue them or capture them or to travel around in order to pursue targets that would be of the Usagi Clan members and use supplementary capturing techniques there. Some even provide openings within the terrain to aid in the Usagi Clan’s movements without being detected.

The most notable of these techniques that they use is the primary technique for digging. The rabbits are able to move through the terrain with ease while also using the Usagi Clan’s basic hearing techniques (Kekkei Genkai Here) with the assumption that they have Perfect Visual Prowess..Since the Usagi Clan are born and actually acquire their technique from these summons, they are very capable of using this technique in order to hear while burrowing through the ground in order to be aware of positioning. They use this order to remain undetected and support the summoner as they usually erect barriers when attackers least suspect it.

The catch to these techniques? The Gem Bunnies MUST always be in contact with the Earth. Since the Usagi Clan rabbits lack hand signs, they rely on the jewel to help with the molding of chakra and imagine the structures they create. Therefore, when they are burrowing through the ground, it is when they are in the most contact with the Earth in order to use techniques to the fullest, and the least amount when they are above the surface. Therefore, the speed in which these techniques are used become halved and they are less durable (Speed and Power of Doton -50%). Therefore, they are always burrowing and moving through the Earth not because of them being sneaky, but it is where they are the strongest and most beneficial to the summoner when summoned to the field alone.
