Description:

Unlike the Rabbit Summoned females, the Males grow to become something more bulky, rounded, and larger in overall girth. As the males are usually looked on as more natural due to them lacking the intellect of the female Usagi and the overall individual traits, they are known by “Lepus,” which is reflective of their base name and the constellation. Even as they are known to be rabbit summons and related to those within the Rabbit’s Ravine, they no doubt have some defining traits where they differ.

First thing’s first, it is the size of these summons. They usually grow as large as approximately ten times the size of the female counterparts (approximately gaining two feet a year). A Lepus grows completely at the age of five and usually continues to modify their weapons as they grow. Their primary weapon, a massive cylindrical shaped mallet, is their primary weapon of choice and is studded with small bits of what seems to be diamond. These are said to be crafted by senjutsu chakra for their hardness and depth, allowing for them to use them in battle with some resistance against most attacks (exempt Raiton). Not only that, but their girt spreads out evenly as they have rounded bodies, usually making their width to be two and a half meters.

These rabbits seem to be abundant within the Usagi Clan’s summons as they have been summoned in variation. Some Lepus have weapons armed upon their backs while others have known. Some shown to have intellect to talk (although rare) and even some seem to not talk while others use very few words. However, their traits remain the same: they have claw-like appendages and great strength. Some are summoned simply to come crashing down on certain enemies and objects in a similar manner of “Bringing Down the House” summoning.

Effects:

These massive rabbit summons do not cultivate chakra like their female counterparts since they do not harden the crystallized properties along their bodies. Instead, it is the jewels that stud their weapons that are to be feared because of their rock-hard properties. Due to their girth and body strength, these weapons are able to cause erupting stalagmites of Earth to be upturned, and shatter boulders with an impact. Usually, Usagi Clan members allow these massive rabbits to act as Juggernauts while they ride on their backs and grasp at the fur (which does not bother them). Even when unarmed, these rabbits seem to be quite strong.

The mallet that these rabbits wield is special to them, and takes a lot of strength to pick up (which is most likely why it is their speciality to use them). The weapon’s handle stretches to be seven feet long (usually bound by rope and strung along the Lepus’s back) and the large cylinder block is a single yard across. The height of this same block is half its size, giving it the traditional look of a weighted concrete mallet, but the iron and craftsmanship is no doubt made by high quality refinement, and is stamped with the Usagi Clan’s sigil.
