The first of many nights[Mission B][IO][NM] Empty Re: The first of many nights[Mission B][IO][NM]

Post by Rei Uchiha Wed Aug 14, 2019 2:54 am

Delivering a package, was B Rank difficulty. Rei Uchiha looked at the mission details suspiciously. This seemed more like an easy mission, or possibly a hoax. Worse, whatever was in the package was worth quite a lot! This was Rei's first time outside of the village on official business, he was secretly glad to know that two familiar faces would be accompanying him on this mission. Tenri and Mugetsu, two shinobi of his village he had worked with previously and briefly to uproot a thug organization that had performed a hostile takeover of a shop inside the village. A bold move, but ultimately it ended with them all being captures. Albeit Rei himself made sure a couple of those thugs would never perform any dishonest work in their lives anymore. They probably still curse me when they want to masturbate but cant because they have no fingers. He thought to himself, slightly amused at the prospect of those foolish men suffering for the rest of their lives.

He would place those thoughts aside for now. The time was for a mission and one of B Rank at that! He wore his typical dark purple kimono with a grey and black haori over it. His weapons were hidden beneath the haori. He looked like a typical villager, or even a beautiful young maiden from behind.

Normally, he would meet his companions at the village entrance, but they needed to pick up the package first. The most dangerous moments were usually when a package was first transferred ownership. As such, Rei saw fit to be there personally when whichever one of his teammates went to pick up the package as well. If he was the only one to receive the package, so be it. If not, he would greet his fellow shinobi with a small respectful bow. "It's a pleasure to be working with you again." he would say. He had seem mild skills from both of them, although Mugetsu and Tenri had both preferred to use simple taijutsu to render their foes unconscious. Better than the average shinobi at least. Rei had felt somewhat lacking as he relied on cunning and deception to defeat his foes. Meanwhile these two had resolved the majority of the thugs in the first mission with nothing but fists... and knees.

Assuming neither of his companions had personally taken the package, he would take it upon himself to be the carrier of the package. Mugetsu and Tenri seemed stronger than he was, so it was better if they could focus on protecting him while he held the package. That would also alow Rei Uchiha to work his cunning methods of Genjutsu to deceive their foes. "I will hold the package if that is alright." he would say once the three of them were ready to depart the village. Truly he wondered what was in the package that could be so important, but curiosity was not a weak point for him.

If neither Tenri, not Mugetsu objected to him holding the package, he would move along with them as they left the village and began their travel. If the two had anything to say to him, he would respond with short but informative responses. He was unused to social encounters. Having a life-long training regiment forced upon him, to be groomed into the perfect role model. His parents had forgotten on every important piece. Social interactions. Rei Uchiha was weak when it came to small talk. No doubt, Tenri would pick up on this- as she had a similar childhood, albeit her personality made it more easy to do small talk.

The first of many nights[Mission B][IO][NM] Empty Re: The first of many nights[Mission B][IO][NM]

Post by Mugetsu Wed Aug 14, 2019 1:38 pm

Mugetsu had received yet another notice of a mission to work with the two Johogakure ninja, Tenri and Rei. He had had decent impressions on the two so he easily accepted the mission. In fact this mission had reqiured people travel in groups at least from his own personal experience. Mugetsu himself had already done with mission before with a different package. His first time had been with another Uchiha known as Homura. She had incredibly spicy and agressive nature and valued only doing what she wanted. But once you got past the tough outter layer she was quiet the reliable ninja to take you with her on missions. Mugetsu had already know what to expect on this mission and no it would simply not be a simple package delivery there were many obstacles that were going to pop up along the way and with his experience he could help make sure the group was prepared for such things and were not caught unprepared.

Mugetsu had already found Rei and instead of sneaking up from behind him, he would instead this time approach him directly. Mugetsu could see that Rei and possibly Tenri was greeting him and decided to return the favor. "It is a pleasure to meet both of you again as well." Mugetsu would not bow in retun nor would any emotions show upon his face. He too lacked the ability to preform small talk, in fact his social skills were entirely lacking in most areas. His father too groomed him to follow in his steps. So much so that he limited almost every social interaction Mugetsu needed to flourish. But when there was something he wanted to say he would be clear about such things. Thats what he intended to do whenever he briefed his teammates about his experiences on the last package delivery mission. But he would first wait until they were bother here and would wait until they go and pick up the package to finally leave the village.

"Tenri, Rei, you two should be wary of this mission. Its not as simple as it seems. Even though I know you were already aware of such the fact I have already done this exact mission before for a different package. Last time it was only a two man cell with my self and another Johogakura ninja, known as Homura Uchiha. Along each step of the mission we encountered a large cell of C-Rank rogue shinobi who was determined to take the package and our lifes no matter the cost. Simple shinobi like them should not be an issue for the three of us however I thought I would mention such a thing so you guys can keep your eyes and ears peeled to your surroundings. I already know at which intervals they will arrive but I will refrain from revealing that information. I feel that doing so will allow both of you to fain important experience to help grow in the future."

Mugetsu did has such experience as to know what would take place but he shouldn't entirely take such a learning experience away from other people. He just thought he would offer a friendly heads up to his teammates. They were going to be spending quiet a while with each other and should build up some rapport with each other. Mugetsu would also not object to Rei holding or keeping the package throughout the duration of the village. Mugetsu himself had held it the last time it was caught bothersome for him to preform sudden techniques if he had to worry about the well being of the package. He would follow them out the village and headed toward the first location they needed to go. But in the back of his mind he knew they were gonna be ambushed whenever night fell.

The first of many nights[Mission B][IO][NM] Empty Re: The first of many nights[Mission B][IO][NM]

Post by Tenri Terumi Wed Aug 14, 2019 10:36 pm

As of late, it was becoming more and more of a habit for the young blonde to arrive last to missions due to the influence of her clan. As one who prided themselves on punctuation and preparation Tenri's schedule had become no more than a reminder during the past month. Tensions were currently high within the Terumi as her kin made preparations for the annual Clan meeting the was scheduled to take place in the coming days. For this reason, Tenri was expected to help with the organization so the meeting could go on without a hitch. Ranked so highly within the clan hierarchy Tenri had duties and responsibilities forced upon her that her Father believed took precedence over whatever missions the Village had scheduled for her.

Missions had become a saving grace for the young blonde and a necessary distraction from the home life she wanted to escape from. Family matters aside Tenri had arrived at the designated meeting location with minutes to spare, at the very least she had been able to catch the greetings between Mugetsu and Rei. "Apologies for my tardiness and agreed. It is a pleasure to work alongside you both on a mission once again." The young blonde would respond, a respectful tone to her melodic voice. In truth, the young blonde had meant every word. The two males had impressed her enough on the last mission that they'd earned her respect though she still held doubts about the Uchiha. That aside the lack of social skills both males displayed clearly shone through for the young Terumi. They each spoke only out of necessity and Tenri couldn't tell if that was on purpose or due to a lack of knowledge in social situations. How sheltered did one's life have to be to end up socially awkward? Tenri had been a special case, of course, as one who had been trained from a young age to always be the topic of conversation and thus that required a certain charm to maintain.

Following the conversation, Tenris curiosity peaked at the mention of her best friend Homura and a previous mission Mugetsu had accompanied her on. Tenri hadn't realized just how active her friend was. Sure they'd been on a few missions alongside one another but nothing ever lead Tenri to believe her friend was actually keeping productive. So you're actually motivated Homura. Back to the conversation at hand, Tenri would nod at each point her blonde comrade made, like her, he seemed the type who preferred to be well informed and so the young girl made sure to keep mental notes of what he described. Even the slightest detail could mean the difference between life or death.

With no objections to Rei holding the package Tenri would simply shrug "If this mission isn't as simple Mugetsu claims it is, it'd be better if the two of us guard you Rei. It means we won't have to divert our attention needlessly and can focus on you as our centre.". Truth be told the young blonde just didn't want to carry the package and miss out on all the action. Over the course of her current shinobi career, the young Terumi had very little "experience" as Mugestu had called it as the majority of the missions she had completed consisted of her doing menial tasks and manual labour, she wanted to fight but most of all she wanted to watch things melt and burn. "If all preparations are complete I'm ready to move out" the young blonde would state matter of factly.

The first of many nights[Mission B][IO][NM] Empty Re: The first of many nights[Mission B][IO][NM]

Post by Rei Uchiha Thu Aug 15, 2019 1:29 am

Two quiet pragmatic men and an overly cheerful, yet socially adept female. A curious trio to be certain- even if secretly, all three of them were more alike than they realized. Clan heirs, groomed to perfection... and so many other responsibilities resting on their young shoulders. Like well-groomed children, they showed each other a small amount of respect due to their previous workings. Though the first time their team was thrown together: this time, they somewhat knew each other and knew that each shinobi in the team was relatively reliable. Rei had few concerns with the make-up of this team. An assassin and a lava user would be protecting him as he carried the package. Of course Rei didn't plan to do nothing as the center of the group. He was a Genjutsu user after all, a fairly skilled one at that.

Genjutsu was an unseen and unheard skill, similar to the assassin type like Mugetsu. The difference being, that Genjutsu controlled the minds and senses of others. A Genjutsu master could separate allies standing right beside each other and pick them off one by one. None would be the wiser. It seems this mission is a little more complicated than it first appears. My suspicions have proven correct. Rei Uchiha thought to himself, dismissing his curiosity as he rested the package inside the length of his haori, tying it firmly to his clothing. Out of sight and tied to him, any would-be assailants would have a thirty three percent chance of guessing the right target. That was as high as their luck would get them however: for choosing any of the three of these shinobi, would result in the probability of the attackers losing their lives. Unlike the thug mission inside the village, Rei Uchiha was permitted to kill during this mission.

With neither of his companions up for disputing Rei carrying the package and Tenri being eager to go, the three of them would turn their direction to the gate of the village and exit. They had left around mid-day, giving them several hours of controlled travel. They were on a mission and didn't need others following them- so they would travel in a typical shinobi triangle pattern. Rei would lead in the front, while Tenri and Mugetsu would be behind him slightly and to either side of him. Their movement speed would be average, aiming for distance over speed- yet not slowing down enough to make it convenient for anyone to track them. It is getting dark... Rei would realize, the area growing dim due to the setting of the sun. In the tree canopy, it was slightly darker, giving the three ample time to prepare and rest for the night. It was more dangerous to travel in limited visibility after all. He would raise his right hand and give a silent wave, signaling that they would stop for the night.

Nearby was a convenient bowl in the earth, a hole as it were. Not a real hole in the ground, but an inward curve that was surrounded by a clove of trees. Below average elevation, hidden by a layer of trees. It would make the perfect spot for resting for the night. "This spot will serve us well. Due to the lower ground elevation, we can even make a small fire and cook some nearby squirrels, rabbits or maybe fish if there is a stream nearby." he would say, suggesting a course of action. He personally hadn't eaten since they left the village and the constant movement was making him hungry. Whatever the other two chose, Rei would go along with it. If they didn't want a fire, he had brought enough dried meet in his haori to sate his hunger. Given that Mugetsu was familiar with the mission giving people and those associated in these types of missions, the three of them had a strong sense of when they would be attacked.

If they gave off a sense of a lenient guard, their pursuers would likely show themselves sooner. Rei had a trap waiting. He performed two handseals beneath the sleeves of his kimono, a genjutsu. Unlike normal Genjutsu, this was an area Genjutsu. Any who entered this domain, would unwittingly fall subject to his illusion. "If we have any uninvited guests, they will stumble into our camp. Use that opportunity to deal killing blows." he would say to his teammates, then further explaining that he had cast a Genjutsu. If their pursuers stumbled into their clover of trees, the Genjutsu would make them see an empty area. Just a warm fireplace with no shinobi. Meanwhile, they would be left quite vulnerable in reality to simply walking up and slitting their throats since the Genjutsu wouldn't allow them to see the three shinobi present.

The first of many nights[Mission B][IO][NM] Empty Re: The first of many nights[Mission B][IO][NM]

Post by Mugetsu Thu Aug 15, 2019 6:43 pm

It seems Mugetsu was correct, this group was capable of handling anything that came their way. Especially with Mugetsu's prior knoweldge on the mission he would be able to handle such a thing to the utmost ability. As they settled at a camp site, Mugetsu was quick to help out with setting up, "Yes indeed let us enjoy a break and hunt some animals." Mugetsu would assist with gathering the food that Rei suggestion. He would hunt down several squirrels and rabbits. He personally did not like fish so he would allow them to do that on that own. Passing the food over to Rei he would hear that he had already prepared for the thugs that were surely going to be upon them soon. It seems that such an ambush would be easier for him to handle then last time.

Thanks to Rei as long as those shinobi entered the range of their camp they would fall under a genjutsu spell. Such measure allowed Tenri and himself to expend a little energy as possible to take care of those who came after them. Due to knowing his teammate had taken care of such a thing, Mugetsu who began to relax a bit and would wait on the people to arrive. They would certainly regret such a things. He would only offer a slight nod of approval in towards to Rei and Tenri. As the night progressed and they would all sit down to eat Mugetsu had wondered something. What were the position of Tenri and Rei in their clans? Were they link him? Destined to be the head of their clans in the future? They had never held such a conversation. It would only be left up to him to guess their status. "Is it correct of me to assume that we are all heirs to our clan?" It was a simple question Mugetsu would ask. The question and its timing would but akward but the question would keep bothering him it his did not ask.

Whether they responded or not Mugetsu would turn his head to behind them. He began to hear the sound of rustling of trees and bushes around them in several directions. "It seems that our guests have finally arrived." Mugetsu would slowly stand as five cloaked figure would appear from the trees shrouded in darkness. "Its him is that assassin who had killed our brothers! We must take revenge for them!" The leader of the group would yell to his friends as his eyes rested on Mugetsu. It would take a moment for them to agree to their leaders words as they would all rush Mugetsu at once attempted to take him down. But the moment they stepped from out of the trees they would be inflicted by the Genjutsu had set. "Foolish shinobi." That is all Mugetsu would say as he would walk up to the group of five caught in the genjutsu. Forming a set of hand signs as he stood in front of two of the five shinobi he would look at them in disapproval as thick layer of chakra would cover both of his hands. He would raise both of his arms and place his chakra covered fists on the chest of the two ninja in front of him directly in front of their hearts.

Thrusting his hand forward slightly into their chests the chakra on his hands would shoot forward crashing their chest. This chakra had a unique ability to deal piercing damage by erasing a layer of a persons body and lowering their over all endurance. In doing so from such a close range, Mugetsu was able to easily pierce through the shinobi's chest cavity and crush their hearts instantly. Mugetsu would turn around and walk away before their bodies even had the chance to recongnize their hearts had been destoryed. The assassin would return to his seat and sit down just as their bodies fell to the floor. He would then turn to Tenri and offer an awkward smile that was clearly forced. "Tenri feel free to have the other three shinobi. On the last mission, Rei and I had hardly left any room for you to have fun. So please enjoy yourself." Mugetsu tried to force himself to be nice and kind but it did not work in fact it seemed more awkward. Oh well the fact that he tried would mean enough to those who knew him.

The first of many nights[Mission B][IO][NM] Empty Re: The first of many nights[Mission B][IO][NM]

Post by Tenri Terumi Thu Aug 15, 2019 7:45 pm

Tenri had never travelled so far from the Village and the farther the trio ventured the less constricted the young female felt. Was this what freedom truly felt like? It was a strange concept and yet one the blonde Terumi did not want to give up so easily. Camping out amongst the wilderness away from prying eyes and no expectations or judgement truly felt liberating. How long had it been since Tenri actually felt alone with her own thoughts? How long had it been since Tenri didn't have to worry about the tails her Father often sent after her to watch her every move. Of course, when she found them and confronted her Father he claimed it was for her safety but this was a lie. It was a means of control for the man. A way to keep tabs on his daughter who was slowly starting to rebel against him and everything he stood for. In truth, she wanted him dead. A secret, not even her best friend Homura knew about and one day it would come to pass but for now, she had to gain experience. To get stronger and to gather enough support within the Terumi to overthrow her Father.

Seated around the fire beside her two comrades the young blonde roasted a few fish on a stick. While Mugetsu had gone off in search of rabbits and squirrel the young blonde had taken the initiative to collect fish and some edible greens that grew amongst the forestry. They weren't exactly vegetables but certain flowers and leaves could easily replace simple lettuce and berries we're a great replacement for condiments when the fish or meat was too dry. On her return, Tenri had been sure to thank Rei for setting up precautions while they been off foraging "Excellent, this means sleep tonight will be easier." the young blonde would add.

Tenri had been so preoccupied with enjoying her meal that she almost missed Mugetsu's question, she had been wondering the same thing and it took a few moments before she answered. She wasn't even sure how to answer such a basic question, by rights as the first and only born to the current clan head that automatically placed her at the head of the clan hierarchy to be next in line but with her Father, things we're never so simple. An awkward silence would pass when it came time for the young Terumi to answer until finally, she came to the decision, to be honest "To answer your question, yes I am the current heir to my clan but also not. You see my Father is old fashioned and thus he believes my place in the clan is to marry a suitor of High quality" the young blonde would slightly pause and send an awkward glance toward Rei before she continued "My Mother can no longer bear children and so I am their only child by blood much to my Fathers disappointment. He believes a male should lead the Terumi as do our council of elders and so. Until my Father finds a male within the Terumi to take under his wing I am classed as the Clan heir until such a time comes to pass." With the last of her words, Tenri would release a breath she did not realise she had been holding. Very few knew about the inner politics of the Terumi and it was something her father tried his best to keep hidden, yet here she was sharing such knowledge with members of other clans. "It matters not, every time my Father finds a male within the clan he wishes to take on, about a week later they mysteriously find that boy injured and full of fear. More often than not they claim they've fallen down a flight of stairs" the young blonde would add, hints of sarcasm and amusement in her voice. Tenri would listen carefully as the others told their own stories, and nod as each spoke.

Taking her cue from Mugetsu Tenri would approach her own bandits with a smirk before once again using simple Taijutsu to dispatch of them. As much as she wanted to meet these individuals with lava release, the current terrain wasn't the smartest of places to perform such techniques. They were surrounded by forest and even the slightest of flames would engulf the surrounding area with ease, especially with how dry the trees were in the area. With a simple Kunai in her hand, Tenri would pierce her first victim in the heart. The next she simply snapped the man's neck with a twist of the bandits head and finally the last bandit she kept alive. Using some rope from her backpack the young blonde had knocked out the bandit and tied him to the body of a tree, she'd stripped him naked and gagged him with some cloth she'd used earlier to clean the fish. When he awoke he was in for quite the surprise and if either of her comrades wanted to interrogate the bandit they had free reign.

Tenri would return to her place by the far with a happy look upon her face "Why thank you Mugetsu, I was due for some practice since our last mission together" the young blonde would say followed by a hearty chuckle. "Feel free to have at Mr tied up bandit there boys, he should be waking up soon" she added.

The first of many nights[Mission B][IO][NM] Empty Re: The first of many nights[Mission B][IO][NM]

Post by Rei Uchiha Sat Aug 17, 2019 9:13 pm

The quaint fireplace and camp site was a simple beauty, an elegance in the forest that put the majority of the village fancies to shame. In the village, there was too many people. Even more distractions... and even garbage. Both physically and in human-kind. Out in the forest, it was the rules of the jungle. Kill or be killed. The most common example of this was them as they fished and hunted for supper. Between the three of their gatherings, there was sure to be enough to eat tonight. Rest would be easy as well, given of course that their pursuers had fallen for the simple trap. Resting comfortably against a nearby tree, Rei would have his thoughts to himself, but his ears trained on the surroundings. There was no game in the nearby forest- the three hungry hunters had made sure of that when they went to gather food. If there was a disturbance, it would be all the easier to hear the approach of the pursuers.

It was then that conversation was struck, casual talk. The good mood from the camp, rest after a long journey.. and a full belly after hours of travel- had set an easy atmosphere where the three shinobi found themselves with leisure time and the opportunity to connect with the other two. It was then that Mugetsu spoke, asking about their situations within the clan. Tenri was the first to respond, although Rei could tell that her response seemed a bit forced. As she didn't breathe the whole while, as if she was trying to stifle something much deeper than personal disapproval. Darkness. He told himself, the dark part of the heart... The Uchiha clan was very familiar with. Rei hardly knew Tenri, but he had heard the stories of her suitors finding themselves recanting any claims to her after mysteriously being beaten to a pulp. Likely Tenri's own doing, or someone loyal to her. He watched her out of the side of his eye, measuring her and the potential that she might take it upon herself to kill her own father if he ever found a suitor stronger than Tenri's intimidation.

"I believe I somewhat explained my standing during our first meeting. My grandfather was the first Johokage. My father is the current second Johokage, as well as the husband to my mother- whom is technically the clan leader. Due to my complicated birth and background, my position is all but sealed. Assured." he explained, although he personally saw the role as more of a permanent prison than gift It was a role to him without merit. Just because he was related to someone shouldn't have meant anything. Sure he was very skilled in Genjutsu, but he was hardly as powerful as other Uchiha he knew. "My family expects me to surpass my mother in strength and take the role as clan leader. My father expects me to surpass him and take the role as third Johokage. Honorably titles and roles of great responsibility. Honestly, I just wish I could choose my own path. Contrary to what some believe about positions of power, an honest ruler's authority is quite limited unless they harm the people they are sworn to protect." he said, somewhat giving Mugetsu and Tenri his personal opinion on what he thought about being a clan heir. For Rei though, it wasn't about the responsibilities. No, it was about how much restriction it would place on him and his ability to manipulate others.

Only a little time would pass between their sudden interest and realization that they all shared a common thread of irony in life. Rei already knew vaguely about Tenri's ordeal, but Mugetsu was a total mystery. Both of them would prove invaluable allies, possibly even friends. If Rei's suspicions about Tenri's family troubles was correct- it would be prudent for her to remove her troublesome father before he foolishly secured their clan's glory into the wrong hands. Tenri was perfectly capable of governing her own people, or at least from what Rei had gathered so far. A kind heart was always a good thing, but a truly kind heart allowed others to suffer on occasions: for some people simply don't learn, if you are too lenient or always save them from trouble. Perhaps I should do something. He thought to himself, mulling over Tenri's situation. His eyes danced over to Mugetsu momentarily, the assassin. An assassin was best for such delicate matters. Rei would keep thinking on this- trying to find a way to include both Mugetsu and Tenri into a plot he was thinking up as he got to know the two better.

The thoughts would have to be postponed for now, as their intruders had arrived. A bit earlier than Rei had anticipated, but he had prepared well in advance. This just meant that the three of them would be able to relax and sleep more instead of having to wait for the pursuers to ambush them during the earliest hours of morning before the sunrise. When the men crossed the threshold into Rei's trap, he didn't move. No, he just say there and watched as Mugetsu and Tenri both took turns to exact a pound of flesh onto these men who would have killed them if they ambushed the three Johogakure shinobi. Kill or be killed. All but one of them was given a swift and near painless death, unwitting even due to their confusion in the Genjutsu. The one that remained, would be taken hostage by Tenri, bound and gagged for interrogation purposes. A good trait. he would say, quietly praising Tenri's efficient ruthlessness.

Rei would stir then. Mugetsu was an assassin, not a torturing. Rei could only assume Mugetsu was more of an honorable type. Rei decided that he was the best man suited for the job of interrogation. Although his sharingan had yet to mature, he had his own methods for convincing others. Although it was not as skilled or fancy as some others. He would approach the unconscious man and pull out a single shurriken from his haori. With dull eyes, he would sink one of the four sides of the bladed weapon deep into the man's left thigh. The sudden burning sensation would awaken the man, who wished to scream- yet only futile muffles escaped his gagged mouth. Rei's dead and dark eyes would peer into the man's bewildered and panicked eyes, showing the man that there was no remorse or conscious, no forgiveness and no morals that he could exploit in Rei Uchiha.

"I am going to torture you for a bit. I'm not interested in the lies you will try to tell me first and attempt to deceive me. In time, everyone talks. If you tell us what we need to know, we'll let you live. You can crawl through the forest and hope to not get eaten by a hungry beast while you lick your wounds. That sounds better than being tortured slowly until you die. Right?" Rei would say, the inflection in his voice shifting to both sarcasm and sincerity. It was a very convincing speech, so much so that the man temporarily forgot that there was a blade inside his leg. His eyes stared at the Uchiha before him, hope in his panicked eyes. Then, he remembered the blade, as Rei yanked downward, slicing the man's thigh muscle open.

If time had been counted, not much time had passed before the man was willing to spill the beans. It had only taken cutting the major muscles in both legs and one arm, before the man had given in to the pain. With only one limb capable of dragging his body through the forest grass, he had realized if there was any chance of surviving, it was now before Rei cut open his last arm and made him a complete cripple. Rei released his mouth gag then and allowed the man to breathe freely for a moment and regain his composure. "Alright, I'll tell you! For gods' sake though, stop cutting on me!" A demand, to which Rei responded with not a word, but moved his shurriken into its next position, ready to plunge into the muscle. "Wait wait! We have a second team about a day's distance out. They are supposed to meet up with us, or continue the mission if we fail. They'll try to stop you before you reach the shoreline and board a ship." the man would say desperately and then begin to sob.

He did not want to but, but he was also ashamed of himself for giving up his allies. "I believe you." was all Rei would say, as he would stand suddenly. One swift motion on his way up to his feet, he slit the man's throat and looked down at him like a used up piece on a shogi board. The man would panic, he would have reached up to grab at his throat- trying to keep the blood inside, in vain. Yet he couldn't even do that because he was bound. He sat there with wide eyes like cattle to the slaughter as blood splurted from the wound on his neck, every time his heart pumped. Two pumps, three pumps, his skin became pail and his flailing legs slowed until they finally stopped. Rei checked his pulse then, just to be doubly sure. Once he was dead, Rei would fre ehis corpse and then toss it outside their copse of trees, along with the other four corpses. A lady like Tenri didn't need to sleep with bleeding corpses only a few feet from her.

The first of many nights[Mission B][IO][NM] Empty Re: The first of many nights[Mission B][IO][NM]

Post by Mugetsu Mon Aug 19, 2019 6:14 pm

Mugetsu upon hearing it again did recall that Rei had mentioned his family background and status. Upon further look and thought into the situation he was in Mugetsu could see that he was in a similar boat as Rei. In fact he could even see that Rei had a lot more pressure on him than just clan obligations. To be groomed to not only be the next clan leader but also a potential Johokage was an immense amount of pressure for any ninja. None the less he still pushed forward aiming to live up to the expectations of his family and others. It was commendable to say the least. Now Tenri her situation had been different and Mugetsu had not heard of it before. While she was groomed to be the head of her family and had just as much pressure as the other two, the seat would probably never directly belong to her. Such a thing truly bothered Mugetsu, gender should no matter for that of a clan head. Skill alone should be the deciding factor. As to have a marriage forced on her and play a passive role in the leadership of her clan certainly had to be frustrating. If Mugetsu was capable of helping her teach those people a lesson he certainly one. But not only was it not in his place to do so, at the moment he skills were ample of enough to back up such thoughts. He could only off her supportive yet passing words.

"Such a same that the Terumi Clan is unable to notice the potential of a talented individual. It will only be their loss sooner or later."

Mugetsu was sure not to comment on Rei's situation. He felt that as a man he should be able to take care of himself and his matters just like any other man. The only reason Mugetsu had event commented on Tenri's situation because it was a man who had been causing her grief. It was just within Mugetsu honor to care about someone he had an interest in. He knew Tenri could take care of herself but he still could not avoid suppressing his opinion. Mugetsu himself had indeed intended to share his background it was only fair after asking the two of them about their on. But such a thing had to wait until they got rid of the shinobi who was foolish to attack them. It did not take long for the pair to finish the group off. While most of the schemes of these people had already been discovered by Mugetsu he did not disclose the information to his teammates. Thus Rei interrogating the man had produced the valuable information needed for Tenri and himself to know when their prey would attempt to attack them next.

After Rei had received the information and disposed of the corpses from their camping location, Mugetsu was finally ready to share the story of his background. "Now where were we?" Mugetsu would pretend to ponder his thoughts for a moment, but in truth he had already know what he wanted to say.

"Ah yes I remember now. My family background. It is not dissimilar to your own. I to have been vigorously groomed by my father to take up the mantle of clan head and follow in his steps. However to say that he has raised me would be as a whole inaccurate. I have been treated as a doll and a slave forced to follow the rules of my father. I have been limited from any social interactions from the moment I began training as a ninja. Only because I have recently awakened my clan's Kekkai Genkai have a earned a bit of freedom. However, such an upbringing has not caused me to hate my father or my clan. Indeed it has done the exact opposite. I force myself to endure his teachings so that I can take all of the secrets of my clan and use them to dethrone my father. It my goal to revert my clan to the way it was when it was first established. So for now I must suffer silently and take the little opportunities given to me until I can take back that honor from my father and restore it to myself and the clan. This is what I feel is the best course of action that my ancestors and I would be proud of."

Such words were Mugetsu's true thoughts, it had been the most words he had spoke in his entirely life at one point. But because of such thing one could immediately tell how much he meant the words and what they meant to him. In his heart he truly believed he was going to accomplish his goals. Bow your head now, so you can put your enemies in their place later. Such was the ideology of the assassin and that's how he was going to handle this life that had been given to him. After those words Mugetsu himself would prepare to get some rest. The remainder of this mission would be long and tiresome.

The first of many nights[Mission B][IO][NM] Empty Re: The first of many nights[Mission B][IO][NM]

Post by Tenri Terumi Sat Aug 24, 2019 6:57 pm

Rei was next up to recite his own story of his hierarchy within both his clan and the village. Tenri had expected a story of grandeur or some elaborate or eccentric tale but what she received instead came as a surprise to the young blonde. After years of interactions with the Uchiha, Tenri had come to associate the clan with certain personality traits. Similar to the Terumi who were battle hungry maniacs and as of late greedy individuals the Uchiha were an arrogant and hateful flock whose lust for power was a common denominator. Yet Rei broke that mould, he seemed more genuine than any male Uchiha she had previously interacted with, especially so when he mentioned finding his own path. His burden seems to weigh heavier than my own yet he does not seem to let those affect him, at least he does not portray it to the outside world… - Something about the way he spoke made Tenri want to follow beside him along that path to a better Johogakure, heck even a better world.

It wasn't long till Rei got to work on the little gift she'd left under the tree. The young blonde suppressed a giggle at the fact that it reminded her of Christmas day and she pictured Rei was  a child eager to unwrap the gift before him with a hunger to find whatever secrets it held. Tenri watched Rei interrogate their prisoner without so much as the bat of an eyelid. Truthfully Tenri had no issues torturing the man herself but she had laid out a test for her.. partners to see just how far they were willing to go for the sake of a mission. Like her Rei held very little concern for harming another human and even had a certain knack for words. For one so inept in social situations he was impressive with interrogation. Tenri believed if he thought of social interactions the same way he would do well within Johogakures social scene. It was at least how she had been able to survive so long in the pointless atrocities that made up Johogakures social games. Rei fortunately did not disappoint when it came to interrogation, he had done an excellent job of securing information they would need for the remainder of their mission. Tenri was actually impressed by his tenacity.

That aside the young blonde listened intently to every word passed between Rei and their captive and an appreciative look would cross the young girls face when their prisoner finally broke. He had lasted much longer than she expected, especially for just a simple bandit. Of course him spilling information was expected but the tone of the bandits voice was more candid than she'd expected as well. Perhaps he thought he would live after all this was over. Perhaps he just wanted a quick and swift death? Neither of those things were fated for him in the end as he slowly bled from his jugular until life finally left his body. Tenri had always been impassive with such things, truth be told she found a certain beauty in death and dying.. people either struggled and fought to live or gave into their fates and let death take them with little resistance.

The young blonde had given Mugetsu an appreciative smile at his compliments to her potential. Truly She never thought much of her own talents or potential but the gesture was well received nonetheless and a hint of pride welled within Tenri for a brief moment. He's starting to open up more at the very least.

Following Reis interrogation was Mugetsu and his own tale of the world he had been brought up in. In truth Tenri had not had much interaction with the Noblord Clan but often heard rumors regarding the state the clan was currently in. They were loyal to a fault; while not necessarily a bad trait Tenri believed if such things were the same within the Terumi then her and her kin would be no more than soldiers… no slaves to whoever was in charge. As if to verify her train of thought Mugetsus words related to the young girl more than she'd have liked. Like her own goal to dethrone her Father Mugetsu wanted the same thing, the restoration of an entire clan to the way things should be. The way his forefathers had intended for the clan to be. The Terumi and the Noblord Clan were more alike than Tenri had realized and the common goals she shared with Mugetsu was surprising. Its as if I was fated to meet these two..

The similarities between the trio and their future roles within Johogakure were astounding, Tenri had always felt a sense of detachment from those around her as no one truly understood the burdens a clan heir had to suffer. Not even Homura could entirely relate to Tenri in this manner and try as she might, she likely never would. Yet on this day Tenri had discovered a bond between the most unlikely of people, two males of her Village she'd harshly judged upon first meeting. Those thoughts she originally formulated had been altered and replaced by a sense of kinship to both Rei Uchiha and Mugetsu Noblord. Tenri believed one day the three of them would change the course of Johogakures History and perhaps for the better..

After the conversation finally died out Tenri watched the embers of the fire before her slowly wither to no more than charcoal before she finally drifted off into sleep, with Reis genjutsu set up sleep would come easily. Tomorrow they would continue their journey and mission, what other surprises would this mission hold for Tenri.. only time would tell..

The first of many nights[Mission B][IO][NM] Empty Re: The first of many nights[Mission B][IO][NM]

Post by Rei Uchiha Sat Aug 24, 2019 11:46 pm

The rest of the first night remained uneventful for the trio of Johogakure shinobi. There was some more talk, to which Rei paid attention from the banter between Tenri and Mugetsu. As odd as it was, the three of them shared so many similarities, yet each of them had developed and matured into a different type of person- albeit Rei and Mugetsu were the closest in personality. Little did the three know, it was this event of missions that would solidify their personal friendship and teamwork. Later on in life, these three would be foundation blocks within their village. Three of the most dangerous clans, allied together not simply in common interest or benefit... but personal ties and sentiments as well. An agreement backed by both power and meaning, could not be undermined so easily. Even still, all of their parents would have to die before these dreams could be realized. All three of them shared the sentiment of killing their parents, whether they all admitted it or not. Rei was the same way, although his reasons were not emotional, nor were they about forcing him to do anything. Sure he disliked the direction he was going, but nobody could force him to do anything. It was simply that currently, the benefits of having his parents alive, outweighed the negative. But for how long?

He hated his father. As loving as his mother was, she was stern and overprotective. So much that she personally saw to the abuse and mind conditioning of him as a young child- even still, Rei never once doubted the motherly love she had shown him. When it came time for it, killing her would be the most difficult thing for him. Even more difficult than killing the second Johokage, Kiba Benimaru.

His thoughts would drift away like this as he took first watch while the other two slept. He had his chakra strings spread around the area to tug on his fingers lightly if anyone or anything intruded on their safe place. The Genjutsu was layered on top of his parameter, so he could easily and swiftly deal with any intruders before they could awaken his two sleeping allies.

When it was his turn to sleep, he would still keep his two traps active. Sleeping lightly just to rest but still semi-aware of his surroundings. Being too complacent was never his style. Finally, dawn would rise and the three of them would clean up their little campsite. They would disperse the ashes from their campfire and store what food remained from the night before as provisions. Rei personally saw to dumping the corpses into the river, to allow the waters to carry them farther downstream and throw off any pursuers. "We have about twelve hours to reach the shoreline before out second party of pursuers catch up with us. Let's hope that we can reach the ship before they reach the shore." Rei would say, hoping the other two shared in his plan. If they did, they would leave immediately at sunrise. Rei would allow his chakra strings per his fingertips to reach their full length and invisible as he moved quickly along with his allies. His chakra strings would feel the surroundings as he dragged the strings across everything that they passed. If there was an ambush awaiting them, he would already have his clutches around them before they could realize any organized attacks.

The first of many nights[Mission B][IO][NM] Empty Re: The first of many nights[Mission B][IO][NM]

Post by Tenri Terumi Mon Sep 09, 2019 11:07 pm

Sunrise was the sign that it was time to move on, the sooner the mission was finished the better it would be for the trio who had other priorities. Tenri herself had awoken before the birds could signal the arrival of a new day and in her haste she'd prepared for the eventually fight that would be sure to greet them. Rei's interrogation skills had granted the trio the opportunity and that information they'd needed to finish the mission. Unfortunately it would be at the ship their mission would end as during the night before a message had been dispatched from the Village that a certain event was soon taking place within The Land of Wind and Shikigakure. The Event known as the Jounin Exams was one neither of the young Shinobi could afford to miss and thus the trio were simply required to reach the ship and dispose of any and all enemies who were within the vicinity and pass the package onto the Squad that awaited their arrival. A simple enough task that would grant the trio ample time to return to Johogakure to make their preparations for the Jounin Exams.

As instructed by Rei the night before the trio would resume their Trek toward the Ship where their allies awaited the arrival of the package. The client and his package were still important after all which was why the Kage had organised for the trade off to happen aboard the ship where they would continue the mission they'd originally been assigned. Whatever was within the package would still arrive on time. With haste the trio would use the surrounding forestry as footholds and jump from trunk to trunk to keep above any dangers that lurked below. With the advantage of height the trio would have both visibility and advantage over the pursuers that were sure to come. Twelve hours seemed like ample time but one never knew just how intelligent bandits were. They were organised and clearly being lead by someone with a knowledge of tactics and of the surrounding Terrain. ''Be prepared for the enemy, If the other team is still aboard the ship we'd need to take them out and prepare for the other team to arrive. The ones persueing will be sure to arrive soon as well'' the young blonde would state as she jumped from tree to tree.

After what felt like an entire day of travelling the trio would arrive with enough to spare at the Ship. It appeared disserted aide from the three Johogakure Shinobi who awaited them upon the ships deck. With a signal the other squad alerted them that they'd dispatched of the bandits who were aboard. That left only the bandits who had followed them from the direction they'd come. Jumping aboard the ship Tenri would await her comrades as she prepared for battle, this last wave of bandits would be the largest and as soon as they dispatched of them Rei could trade the package to the other squad the three of them could return home to prepare for the Jounin Exams.

The first of many nights[Mission B][IO][NM] Empty Re: The first of many nights[Mission B][IO][NM]

Post by Rei Uchiha Sun Sep 29, 2019 4:09 am

Despite their previous night of interrogation and early flight. Their pursuers were still on their tail. Not so much at first. The morning had started out slow and uneventful. As the three of them traveled, Rei had intentionally lengthened his chakra strings and made them invisible. It was a sly tactic, as the chakra strings served several purposes- mainly to alert him when the enemy neared. Several times, the chakra strings tugged on his fingers, yet he didn't react to them. The pursuers had closed toe considerable distance a long time ago, but they remained just outside of reach. They must be waiting for us to reach the ship... Which means there is likely an ambush ahead. When we reach the shore, they will attempt to ambush us from behind, while the ship group blocks our path. he told himself, imagining how things would play out if he and his two companions were not prepared. It was a wise strategy, one that would ultimately fail however. Rei and his two companions already knew of their followers and had prepared several countermeasures. Rei specifically, would use his chakra string he had already laid out, as a trap.

Unaware of his trap, his victims had long since become entangled in his webs. As he, Tenri and Mugetsu reached the shore- they found the boat. Being in the lead, Rei's group recognized their own allies quickly. The pursuers however, were not close enough... and assumed that the men on the ship, were their allies instead. As the pursuers suddenly jumped from the bushes in an attempt to ambush Rei, Tenri and Mugetsu, the fellow Johogakure allies would react as well. The ambush ended in failure however, as the pursuers had already been caught by Rei's chakra strings without realizing it. Just little tugs here and there, resulted in the small group of attackers, tripping over each other and falling into a tangled pile of confusion. Rei, Tenri and Mugetsu hardly had to do anything at all- as their allies had already taken to action. The act of tripping on the battlefield, had resulted in swift strikes from the Joo-nin, and ended the pursuers' lives. "Thanks for the assistance. We will make our way back and prepare for this.. Jounin exam.." he would say to their allies and give them the package, then look at Tenri and Mugetsu. "Shall we?"
-End
