Nobody Wants To Be A Cat [Mission]

Mission:

"Mr. Snugglewuffles. Where are you Mr. Snugglewuffles. Come on out Mr. Snugglewuffles!"

This had to be the worst mission for Homura by far. There was no way any of this was shinobi work. At this point, she was moreso a lackey than a ninja. For today, Homura had the important mission of finding a lost cat. Some old lady had lost her kitten, and now it was Homura's job to find it and bring it back to the woman. Only, this wasn't just an ordinary cat. This was a ninja cat. That damn beast was a true nightmare! A walking catastrophe waiting to happen! The selfish pussycat wasn't going to make anything easy for poor Homura.

The first time she met that cat was in the morning after her mission began. The stupid thing was stuck in a tree and meowing at some other street kittens. Homura tried to sneak up on it from the shadows, but it somehow sensed her behind it. It immediately sped off, which lead to a huge chase scene where Homura had to dodge under and over obstacles, scale buildings, and jump from roof to roof just to catch up. The stupid cat was a real nightmare!

Homura hated cats. Ever since one had scratched her when she was younger, she hated being around them. Granted, the cat that scratched her had every right to, since she practically squeezed the thing to death the minute she saw it. But, she was a little kid and only wanted to love it. How was she supposed to know that it would attack her in defense?

The reason didn't matter. All that was important was that Homura learned a valuable lesson that day. Cats were terrible creatures. Now, Mr. Snugglewuffles only served to prove that sentiment.

After a long day of chasing that stupid kitten around Johogakure, Homura crawled her way back to the old lady's house. She couldn't do it anymore. She couldn't chase that stupid animal. It was just too fast and just too slippery. However, the minute Homura got to the woman's home, she was suddenly surprised by the sight of the cat in the old lady's arms.

"Thank you so much," the old lady said. "You found Mr. Snugglewuffle for me. I really appreciate all that you did." She gave Homura a sweet kiss on the cheek, as old people usually did, then sent her on her way.

Homura returned home. Though, on her way there, she spent her time wondering what the hell just happened and why she felt like she had just been toyed with.

Cats were truly evil.
