Bad Dog [Mission]

Mission:

It was a bright and shiny day in the village of Johogakure. The sun was hanging beautifully over everyone's heads, bringing glimmering illumination for those it hovered over. Yet, there was one particular shinobi that was not happy for this day, even if the sun was brimming with beauty. Of course, that shinobi was Homura Uchiha. After having been accepted as a genin, Homura thought that her life would be filled with thrills. She thought that she would have more to do than the boring activities of her daily routine during the academy.

Back then, Homura was the type of girl who skipped out on school and hung out at the arcade with her friends- she had loved that arcade next to the academy so much that she and her crew declared it to be their number 1 spot, and that anyone who wasn't apart of their crew and dared come into it would find themselves on the other end of an ass-whooping. However, now Homura was the type of girl to do chores that were incredibly boring an uninteresting. Being a genin absolutely sucked for Homura, and that was made plain for her with the mission she had to do today.

"Satoshi, stop! Bad boy! No, don't pee on that! Hoshi, enough sniffing there, you'll hurt yourself! Both of you stop pulling on this leash now!" A very old couple were in need of some assistance with their dogs. These mutts were big and fearsome creatures that would shatter their frail old bodies if they tried to walk them. It was up to shinobi to volunteer and walk the pups all throughout the village. At first, Homura was a bit excited for this job, since she actually liked dogs. However, within the first few minutes of her walking these demon mutts, she realized just what type of a wild ride she was in for. The dogs nearly broke her arm trying to bolt away from her, and every time they ran into another dog it was like chaos itself rained down on Homura. By the end of the day, she just wanted to sit down and cry with frustration.

When the mission was finally over, Homura handed the beasts back to the couple. They both thanked her for her kindness in helping them, then gave her a brief smooch on the cheek because that was how old people showed their gratitude. Homura accepted the kisses, then immediately ran away as fast as she could. "I'm never going to do that mission again," she told herself as she raced home as fast as she could to wipe off all of the slobber from those beasts licking her.
